30 Days of Disney Challenge

Day #16: Your favorite classic

For this I think i'm going to go with Aladdin. There were funny characters, cute bits of romance, and some gorgeous music that played in it. Between the genie, Aladdin himself, Jafar, Iago, and so many others, it's one I can be sure i'll never get bored with.

Day #16: Your favorite classic

I don't even know what counts as a classic lol. I'll say Toy Story for the memories and its charm.

Day #17: Your least favorite classic

Alice in Wonderland (the animated version), I just couldn't get into it, it was too trippy for my taste :p

16. Favorite Classic: The Lion King. It's such a masterpiece and was an enormous part of my childhood.

17. Least favorite: Pocahontas, due to severe lack of character development.

oh boy I need to catch up

Day #10: Your favorite song
one jump ahead - aladdin or he mele no lilo
he had such a cute voice omg
Day #11: Your favorite love song
i'll make a man out of you, in a way it was a love song..
it's how they fell in love?
Day #12: Your favorite villain song

friends on the other side, princess and the frog
Day #13: Your least favorite song

let it go, frozen
idc it's overrated and the spanish version was way better
Day #14: Your favorite kiss

the princess and the frog, the first kiss with the friend who tried to save them
Day #15: The first movie you saw

oh boy probably snow white
Day #16: Your favorite classic

the little mermaid
Day #17: Your least favorite classic

tarzan

Day #17: Your least favorite classic

That's kinda hard for me to say, there are so many I really liked. But if I had to choose one, I guess I didn't care for The Jungle Book all that much, not sure why but it's not one that has really aged well.

Day #17: Your least favorite classic
I never cared for The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, or Fantasia. I specifically remember watching those and never actually liking doing so. I don't remember ANYTHING from The Jungle Book, except the song the bear sings on the river. Also, I loved the GBA game, and I hated fighting the snake (Raa?) because he was pretty impossible to beat in his little minigame. but anyway, there were some I never saw, like Dumbo, so I guess those count by virtue of not experiencing them.

Day #18: Your favorite Pixar film

It's a close toss-up between The Incredibles and Toy Story 3. The Incredibles had a lot of cool action and comedy to it, helped by how it builds up from a retired duo at first to an even more powerful family. Meanwhile, Toy Story 3 had so many amazing feels to it throughout (not to mention what I consider one of the greatest scenes in any animated film ever).

Day #18: Your favorite Pixar film

Ugh I've done both Toy Story and Monsters Inc. Um... out of the two I guess I like Toy Story better because I think the story was better and you really fell in love with the characters more than Monsters Inc. (my opinion). Also the ending of Toy Story 3 made you at least a little sad that it's like the end ya know?

Day #19: Your least favorite Pixar film

Finding Nemo, not only is it boring to me, but when for I search for "Little Nemo" (referring to the Winsor McCay comic) on deviantART, I get results for "Finding Nemo" instead, it drives me nuts!

Day #19: Your least favorite Pixar film

Well I haven't seen every single one of them, and of the ones I did see I don't want to say any of them were bad but I think i'll go with Cars. It just didn't have quite as much going for it as the rest (although i've heard Cars 2 was even worse), but there was still stuff to like about it.

Day #19: Your least favorite Pixar film

Cars. Some might disagree, but I hate Cars because there wasn't really a storyline to it. If you think about it Cars is about this car who gets stuck in this town and... that's it. There wasn't any crazy things happening, very little happened in the middle of the movie which is when a lot should happen, and honestly everything that happened seemed like it was just a time waster to get the movie above and hour. Cow tipping? Doing a slow-mo of his soon to be car girlfriend next to a waterfall? Really?

Day #20: Favorite sequel

Toy Story 2, It also has one of my all-time lines in a Disney/Pixar Film EVER!:

Barbie: Hi. I'm Tour Guide Barbie
Mr. Potato Head: But I'm in a Marriage x3

Day 18. Favorite Pixar Movie? Probably Monsters Inc., due to it being very creative. Brave is a very close second.

19. Least Favorite Pixar movie? I haven't seen Cars, but it seems kind of like I wouldn't like it much besides Mater.

20. Favorite Sequel....? The Lion King 2.... Because it wasn't as bad as most other direct-to video sequels...

Day #20: Your favorite sequel

This is pretty tough to be honest, there weren't too many that I remember at the time but I think for now i'll go with Toy Story 3. I already talked about it a bit when I discussed favorite Pixar film(s), but that one had so much rolled into one big package. It was an amazing film in every regard with so much to like.

If I think of another i'll be sure to mention it, I guess as far as honorable mentions go there was The Lion King II: Simba's Pride.

*shuffles in* I should be working on an assignment, you say? Yeah, probably. So let's do twenty days' worth of Disney posts. 8)

Spoiler: Days 1 - 19
Day #1: Your favorite character
If Kingdom Hearts is allowed, then hands down Aqua. But I have a feeling this thread is more for movies. :P

This is a tough one because I like a lot of characters but mostly within the context of their film and I find it hard to compare them otherwise. I think I might go with Gaston because although he's awful, I think he's hilarious and he always makes me laugh. And the guys who play him at Disney World are great.

Day #2: Your favorite princess
Does Merida count? When I google "Disney Princesses" I see her in a lot of the lineups but I'm not sure if Pixar is Disney enough. Oh well, she's my answer. I really loved Brave and
I loooved the fact that Merida didn't have a prince in her film. :)

Day #3: Your favorite heroine
I guess I should use this spot for someone who isn't a princess at all, so I guess I'll go with... um... I was gonna say Mulan but apparently she is a princess. Okay. Then Helen/Elastigirl from The Incredibles! (Yeah, okay, I'm officially listing Pixar in with the Disney stuff. Sue me.) I really love this movie and I love all the girls in it. I'm pretty close to listing Violet as well but I think Helen edges her out because she was a little more bad-ass. (Not that not being as bad-ass makes Violet worse, but I just really appreciated Helen's character and her gung-ho attitude throughout the movie. n_n)

Day #4: Your favorite prince
Ummmm does Eugene/Flynn count, from Rapunzel? I mean he's not a prince himself, but if you just define prince as "whoever dates the Princess" then yeah he's definitely my favourite, lol. I love his sense of humour, I like that he has a lot more personality than most of the princes (who are for the most part really dumb and kind of creepy in some cases, let's be honest), and he's easily the most attractive prince of the bunch.

Eric gets an honourable mention for having a great name (if only there was an A on the end~) but he also nearly married a girl he'd known for a few hours because she sang like someone he though he heard while he was passed out on a beach so I mean... he's not exactly the sharpest crayon in the box. :(

Day #5: Your favorite hero
UGH Flynn was probably supposed to go here, I should have looked at the questions before answering. Okay I'll answer someone who's not in a prince/princess movie again.

Okay whatever, Pixar it is. NEMO! He's so cute and Finding Nemo came out at a time when I was kind of obsessed with fish so I extra appreciated it then. ;w; Nemo is adorable and he never gives up and he's the right kind of stubborn and ahhh I love him a lot.

Day #6: Your favorite animal
I guess day 5's answer works for this but I'll pick a different one for variety. I'm gonna say Marie from Aristocats. I love all the cats in this movie but she's extra cute. I love what a prissy brat she is, hahaha.

Day #7: Your favorite sidekick
MAXIMUS from Tangled. I love sassy horse sidekicks and he was easily the best one. Only rivalled by the horse in Road to El Dorado, but even in that case I think Max wins.

Day #8: Your favorite villain
I think I'll go with Yzma from The Emperor's New Groove because lmao, I loved every scene with her and Kronk in it.

Day #9: Your favorite original character (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, etc.)
I'll be honest, I've never gotten too terribly attached to any of them, but I guess I'll go with Donald because he's the funniest when he's too angry to even try to articulate words, lol.

Day #10: Your favorite song
This is definitely gonna be the hardest question. Ummm... I think I'll go with That's How You Know from Enchanted. I love every song in Enchanted but I love the song and dance number that goes with this, especially how at the beginning, Robert's like "wait how do they know the words?" Finally, a musical where one of the lead characters doesn't know he's living in a musical. It was all I ever wanted. ♥

Day #11: Your favorite love song
Mmmm I think I'll go with I See the Light from Tangled because of all the love songs, I think this one gets stuck in my head the easiest.

Day #12: Your favorite villain song
I can't pick just one. It's a toss up between Gaston and Les Poissons. They're both hysterical to me, I could never choose between them.

Day #13: Your least favorite song
Most of the songs from Notre Dame. ._.;; People who love music and musical theatre adore that soundtrack the most but I don't really like any of the songs from it at all.

Day #14: Your favorite kiss
I don't have one. u_u WAIT NO I thought I didn't care for this question at all but I just saw honey's answer and I completely agree! I really loved Lotta's kiss with... whatshisface in Princess and the Frog. The movie sets her up as this girl who doesn't care for anyone but herself, but time and time again over the course of the film she proves the audience wrong, especially at this point where even if she's envious, even if she's disappointed, she still tries her best to help her friend and the kiss is all she can do. This was probably my favourite part of the movie. I can't believe I forgot about it.

Day #15: The first movie you saw
I don't actually know? :( I assume one of the classics or maybe The Little Mermaid because it came out the year I was born. The first movie I remember being obsessed with as a very little kid was Aladdin, though.

Day #16: Your favorite classic
Does classic mean before the Renaissance? According to Wiki, Aladdin counts, so that's my choice. I loved the hell out of that movie when I was a kid. I don't know if it's still my actual favourite from the list anymore, but the amount of times I watched it when I was young makes me feel obliged to put it here anyway.

Day #17: Your least favorite classic
Jungle Book. boooooriiiing.

Day #18: Your favorite Pixar film
All of them. Okay, Finding Nemo because I still laugh and cry at it like I did the first time I watched it. I love everything about it.

Day #19: Your least favorite Pixar film
I guess Cars wins by default, but I'm gonna say WALL-E instead because it's a movie that everyone adores but I just don't understand the hype for. At least with Cars I could play a drinking game to it or something and probably enjoy it but I never liked WALL-E. :(

Day #20: Favorite sequel
Hahaha it probably doesn't hold up at all anymore, but I really enjoyed Return of Jafar when I was a kid. I don't even REMEMBER anything about it now, but it's the only sequel I actually remember owning so I guess it wins by default.

Day #20: Your favorite sequel

Toy Story 3 is my favorite sequel. I honestly don't know what else to say about it since I've talked about it 2-3 times before.

Day #21: An overrated movie

I hate to do this as I like the movie as well, but Frozen, It's alright, but it IS overrated and you know it :p
