Cooking, it runs in my family. I've been cooking since I was 10, I made some of my grandmother's Mexican rice which included a secret ingredient that makes it soooo delicious (shhh, it's chicken stock). ;) I love cooking/baking in the stove. The food is better that way and tastes better. However, I understand some people don't even like to cook, or don't know how to cook, and that's okay!

Do you like cooking? What are some of the foods/dishes you like to cook up? If you don't know how to cook, would you be willing to learn how? If you don't like to cook, why?

You can answer for any types of foods you use that requires cooking/baking/etc.

I love to cook or bake more now. I'll be honest I did not like it much since its a lot of work. But now learning about different foods and recipes you can make I'm more into it. I don't know a lot but really willing to learn. My grandma on my dad's since. She full Japanese and cooks really good Japanese food. Home made sushi and rice cakes I think there were called. Kimchi (Japanese version of it) and curry. Ohh and the best ride rise breakfast meal ever! well for me at least. I try not to eat so much meat now but I do love it. I do try other foods that are healthy now.

I want to learn more Asian style of good but also other kinds too. So I'm up for anything I make some bake goods like: Brownies, cake, cupcakes, some cookies.. Then food wise. Chicken, noodles like spaghetti, grilled cheese, and salad or special veggies recipe. Not a lot I know.. But really willing to learn for myself, family, sometime loved one. :P

Nowadays I probably would be willing to learn how to cook on a stove top, but maybe not an oven quite yet.. I used to be frightened by things that were hot to the touch when I was younger, but last year I had to use the stove to make a can of tomato soup for lunch since I was sick and home from school one day. It turned out to be a much different experience for me, although I had the burner on low as well.

Cooking is alright for me. I'm not a good cook and can only make very simply dishes such as fried eggs, instant noodles, macaroni & cheese in a packet, steamed rice, fish, chicken and vegetables. I'm able to cook fried rice as well, but with assistance. I need assistance for lots of other things besides the mentioned actually, or at least step-by-step instructions. Without them, I'm quite sure whatever I make will not turn out good. I'm quite willing to learn, but I'm also a little unwilling as I'm afraid of accidentally getting burned by hot oil or cutting myself while chopping up foodstuff. Happened before and I didn't like it one bit. I'm still learning though! I'll have to cook for my family next time, so I'm slowly getting into it. Hopefully I'll learn enough so I don't have to starve my future family. xD

I like cooking. I love cooking if I'm not the one doing the dishes after and the kitchen is big... but sometimes it's really frustrating in my current house because there's not a lot of counter space even when it's clean and more often than not, there's a few piles of dishes next to the sink (and/or in the sink) because we're too lazy to unload and reload the dishwasher. :(

Cooking is a lot of fun though and I wish I had a better budget for buying ingredients and the like so I could experiment more, but I like the meals I make now even if they're pretty simple. I really like making shio ramen/udon and I have a pretty good recipe for it. It's probably my favourite simple meal and it's so much better than plain ol' packaged ramen.

Being a man, I am a natural master of the grill. ('Murica)

My job also gave me the opportunity to cook some and work with really good ingredients, and I was taught how to cook by actual chefs, so that comes in handy. I can make a mean steak, seasoned with fresh herbs or a bleu cheese crumble on top. As well as Pork, seafood, chicken, beef, and all kinds of side dishes and such.

    get at me ladies xoxoxo

I love cooking! Some of my favourite dishes to make are penne alla vodka, aubergine parmesan, maple-syrup-bbq chicken wings with a zesty pasta salad on the side, and more :3 Wine-braised pork ribs with caramelized red peppers, and more.
    Unfortunately I don't have a BBQ, but I have a griddle-pan which is nearly as great. :3 Nomnom.. <3

I've recently discovered a form of cooking that really agrees with me. It's call the blender. I take all the fruits and veggies and whatever, toss them in, press a button, and voila! healthy smoothie appears like magic.

I have a tiny kitchen and no dishwasher so I'm loath to try cooking anything big or complicated. I'm also a terrible cook so it's better this way.

I really love cooking and is something that I do pretty often now because my mom works a late job sometimes and I am required to start dinner. I really only cook simple dishes like a various pastas, chicken dishes, and even homemade pizza, but I'd love to learn to make my meals a bit more complex and incorporate more ingredients in.

...I can't cook worth crap. I have this fear of getting burnt if I cook. I don't know why lol, but I'm weird like that. I think it's got a lot to do with bad experiences though. I do make a lot of stuff in the microwave. I can make noodles, rice, macaroni and cheese... and whatever you can pretty much put in the microwave.

I would cook more often but whenever I do I end up burning my house down.

I don't cook because i can't cook..i might learn cooking later but it's not very interesting to me...i like making pastry :3

I can cook if I really wanted to, but for the most part I don't. Apparently, I'm good at it because I took a couple cooking classes in high school and I was the teacher's favorite student. I made home made bread, several variants of soup, Italian cookies, chicken, sponge cake, enchiladas, and others. Nothing too complicated, just basic stuff.

I like cooking. I usually work with fresh ingredients and I can cook on a pan but I'm not so used to cooking in oven.

I also like watching food channel, though I hope I'm not steering this off-topic or something.

For me, I grew up cooking. Like I said, I started to cook when I was 10 years old when it was eggs, cupcakes, and as mentioned, rice. Those were really easy to make and I was surprised that at that age I learned pretty quickly. Today, I cook mostly for my family. My mom tells me what she wants to eat, and I'll cook it. Give me a recipe and I'll have it for you lickety split.

I've started cooking at the age of fourteen, when my mom showed me how to make rice. I'm not that good at cooking, but I still do it anyway because I know that I'll gain more experience and become better at it as long as I keep practicing. What I really like about cooking is that it gives me a great feeling whenever I succeed at making a dish. Chinese and Mexican food are my specialty, and some of my favorite dishes are chicken fried rice, orange chicken (very easy to make), egg rolls, mole, and tamale. If any of you lived near me, then I definitely would've shared a dish with you! (:

I enjoy cooking, but I'm not very good at it. I've burnt things countless times. It's mainly cause I'm careless and don't pay attention to how long to cook something. Or I just get distracted and forget about what I'm cooking. The best thing I can cook is probably rice or a grilled cheese sandwich. I can make eggs decently if I don't accidentally add too much milk or water. The one thing I love making for breakfast is an egg in a basket. If you've seen V For Vendetta, you know what I'm talking about. if not, then here's a picture. Pretty much a slice of toast with a hole in it and a fried egg in the middle. It's delicious when done right. :3
