Everything plays a part in the environment, even mosquitoes as they are food for plenty creatures that are really good for the ecosystem.

Afaik there were attempts on eradicating mosquitos. That not only had a negative import on other species but also caused mosquitos to get more resilient in the process.

It's mostly just breathing issues, I have to take it easy in every day tasks. Thankfully those I know understand!

Finally decided to stop putting it off and upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 today. I didn't really want to because my laptop is ancient and doesn't run Win 10 very smoothly/doesn't have full driver support; but I got spooked by a hacking incident that made the threat of being hijacked feel a lot less distant, especially since I've been using my email/bank accounts on this computer. Currently trying to download updates and hopefully remove some of the bloat.

My laptop can't run windows 11 lol but it's just...bad. It doesn't feel complete. I'm sticking with 10.

like i mentioned in #tech-talk on discord last week most devices that run 7 can run 10 with little to no issue

there's also linux as well if you need to get something lighter but continue to be up to date with security

I'm taking a series of brief 2-3 day mini vacations over the summer. Naturally, I've booked a Quality Inn for each of them.

I'm an hourly worker, I don't have paid vacations.

at my previous job i was hourly and got a day of vacation per month. usually i used up 5 days the last week before the 2-week holiday break (which is time off but does not count towards vacation days) to have an extra week

I'm gonna start applying for jobs july 1st, I am beyond nervous albeit a bit less than before because I have gained confidence from friends here <3

We don't get anything like that lol. We "earn" vacation time by working. There's no paid anything.
In return, they really do not fire anyone and my position was held for 2 years while I fought cancer.
