Well, I can't wait to play as Tyrion and get all the whores! be the sassiest damn character of the game!

For me, this is going to be an awesome roleplay.

Wouldn't that one guy you guys always laugh at dying all the time be the official Sean Bean/Ned Stark of this one?

''The game has begun! Ned Stark has died from unforeseen circumstances.''

Is how I imagine the first post.

I will be ending signups this evening or tomorrow I think! We've got a huge amount of people already, but I would love to get as many of you in as possible so sign up soon!

After that, I'll see how soon the other games are ending and then I'll post the Prologue event, Death of the Stag, which will set the stage for our own game of thrones. :)

I am a bit hesitant signing up for this because I've never read/watched the stuff, but I feel like this is something I don't wanna miss out on.
So, I'd like to join!

I think there are a couple of us in the same boat - so don't fret :D

I've mostly decided to change things up from the main plot. I was gonna follow it fairly strictly, but I think the What-If? idea is better. So you'll see the characters and follow the basic trajectory of the story, but it should hopefully be a lot different. :)

Yeah, I highly doubt a lot of the characters in it will be similar and die at simlar times.
I mean a peasant could even win this.

Well I'll reveal a little early what the peasants actually are.

If you declare for a house, say Stark, then you will actually become a named character. For example, if you declare for the Starks, you will become Greatjon Umber, one of the lesser lords in the North. If you declare for Stannis, you might become a Florent or another house. So on. :) So even the peasants can become something nice!

Klippy, I have only seen the series. Are you going to use story elements from the books? GOD I HOPE NOT.

I'd feel incredibly selfish if I didn't recommend the show.
That too is something you don't wanna miss out on

So you become a named character loyal to that house, but it's basically just a name for easier association right? You won't gain an ability will you?

The books and tv show don't differ too vastly from what I've seen (although I'm only half way through book 4 and have only watched up through season 4) but from what I've seen and heard from others is that it isn't that drastically different. And our story line could follow a completely different route.

Which is why I'm asking if he follows the TV-series. Then atleast I know I will not get any spoilers, since the original storyline won't go further than was shown in the TV-series. c:

Gotcha, I think the tv show and books are roughly at the same spot as well. Not 100% sure on that but I think it's pretty close. My gf wants us to start watching season 5 which covers books 4&5 so I'm torn between reading first or just giving in and watching...
