5th Gen Abyssal Ruins

East of Undella Town in Undella Bay are sunken ruins known as Abyssal Ruins. To access them, you need a Pokémon with a move Dive. Once inside, you have 500 steps to explore before you are taken back to the surface.

You can find almost all of elemental plates hidden in Abyssal Ruins. Except for Splash and Draco Plates, but based on a dialogue you have with a NPC that gives you those plates, they were also found in Abyssal Ruins.

There are also various Relic items lying around. These items are can be sold to Item maniac in Undella Town for quite a huge amount of money. You can earn up to 1 706 000 by selling them all.

Did you ever explore Abyssal Ruins? Were you able to get to the last level and pick up Relic Crown? What do you think of this location? Did you like the mechanic of being limited to 500 steps per dive?

I remember it was a really mysterious place, indeed I was a bit deluded when I found out u could only find some items. I mean, it truly looked like a place full of lore and it kinda remembers regis' rooms, so I would have preferred finding a legendary there, maybe an older one, like lugia or kyogre for example, since it's in the post-game area. I think it's one of the best places with one of the coolest mechanics in the games, so I just think they should have given us a bigger award!

I've been in there, but not that much. Don't really care for the whole timed maze thing.

I may have been there once? I didn't really care all too much for picking up items that are only useful for selling, in the postgame no less. Actually, the reason why I barely visited the place may rather be that I don't like exploring the postgame all too much. The game's usually over and even if there is stuff to explore, it usually doesn't expand all too much and the reward is only rarely worth the effort.

And this dungeon is no exception.

Yes, I have many times. I wish there was more to do there than just find ancient text and items, though. They could have easily put wild Pokemon down there. :| I also didn't like how you had limited time down there. Dive was pretty much useless in Unova, if you ask me, sicne this was the only place you could use it.
