Appreciate Yourself Too~

Always concentrate on how far you've come, rather than how far you have left to go.

Now, of course, I'm a person that tends to look back on what I could of done better, which is true, I think I can always improve on the things I do, but, sometimes I miss the most important thing: to look back on the things I've gone greatly!

That being said, this threads purpose, as the title suggests, is the topic of loving yourself; now, I think this is something that people forget about at times, but, remember to give yourself credit!

We need a positive mindset to motivate ourselves to keep going. It's okay to be brutally honest with yourself: we're always looking for self-improvement in one way or another, but, remember the positives about yourself too! Always remember what you have achieved in your life, and with that, carry on with it for your own self improvement if you need it!

So, this thread's purpose is, what do you like about yourself? What are the best things you have done? What makes you strong? Is there room for self-improvement? Please, don't be shy on sharing. ^^

What do I like about myself? Umm... Learning how to play the piano and violin to try and one day become a musician. Not a famous and well known one. I'm not one for fame or anything of the sort...

What are the best things I've done? Hmm... I impressed my piano/violin teacher and was invited to a recital for both. I was requested to play a song that I knew at the time. I was really nervous that I would mess up but somehow didn't. Everyone was very impressed a 12 year old could play so well and as a way of saying "You did amazing and thank you for coming" I was given a medal and certificate.

What makes me strong? I don't know. Is there any room for self improvement? Yes.

:3 Thanks for making such a great thread to post in. I like how imaginative I can be even if things don't go right or looked as good as it did on the drawing board.

Accomplishments I'm quite pleased with myself about: Saving two lives from sel destrction, placing in the top three even though I had the lowest quality in higher quality filled entrants in a contest on several occasions. being a really cool hero figure to people I meet.

I'm pretty weak always hiding as for improvements OF COURSE theres always room for improvements even on the tiniest of detail @_@

Again thanks for this thread

i'm glad i very rarely use tildes for other reasons than approximating numbers

Let's see... I always love my enthusiasm and my love for Pokemon and innocence.

The best things that I've done are many- helping animals being my most favorite hobby.

What makes me strong is love and love alone, and it can come from anywhere, any source. But when not there, you'll find me rotting in a corner... Like Brock X D

BIG space, PLENTY! First thing is- I need to be more assertive about what i want and the rest can follow.

@Dragon: Thank you for this AMAZING thread, Dragon! :D ^_^

Hmm, well I guess I feel proud of my drawings, though I don't feel like they're all that much. They take some work and effort to make and I like them but yeah. I want to become super good one day but I haven't done anything since September, haven't had the motivation.

what do you like about yourself? Probably my personality. It's all I can think of, and I think that's a start, right?

What are the best things you have done?
Most likely, it would be getting into writing and expressing myself. A lot of people are baffled by this, considering the nature of my disabilities and serious mental health issues I have.

What makes you strong? Jack Barakat. <3

Is there room for self-improvement?
There could be, but I haven't quite found any way to improve just yet. ^^

What do you like about yourself?
Hmm, I think i'm pretty funny and nice to get along with. I think I can make people happy. Also I have a good taste in music and games.

What are the best things you have done?
Graduate college and live on my own.

What makes you strong?
I've been through many dark times and I'm still here, smiling. I always see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Is there room for self-improvement?

Definitely. I'm hypersensitive, awkward, I get mad easily... all things that I think I can fix in time.

what do you like about yourself?
I'm usually in good humor

What are the best things you have done?
Graduated college twice

What makes you strong?
Are you kidding me? I'm the most sensitive person ever, I cry at least once a month. I'm not strong at all.

Is there room for self-improvement?
Be less annoying
