April 2025 Archipelago (Complete)

I wish I could give you a straight answer on this! I will say that I'm not really interested in being part of the Get-Together as a whole, but would just like to join that Archipelago separate from the Get-Together. It's entirely possible I could be completely busy for an entire weekend sometime in June, but I don't know exactly when, or if it's even happening in June at all. If it's part of the Get-Together I wouldn't want to say "Could you delay this entire Archipelago a week because I'm busy", but if it's just some Archipelago you're running as its own thing, I'd probably let you know as soon as I see it if I'm available or not.
Tl;dr, I'm pretty sure I'd be available throughout those months, but there's one weekend I definitely won't and I don't know when.

Funny I find this out the very next day: if it's anytime after the first week of June I'm pretty sure I can promise full availability for it like usual.

Hm. Might work out a little awkwardly. Thought ahead to June. Bets on a family visit on the second weekend of June. Would be the first weekend after school completely ends, but before summer activities start up (probably). Usually finds out about these visits a week beforehand, sometimes less. Only misses part of Friday, all of Saturday, and part of Sunday, though. Could start a hair before then to at least clean up all the Sphere 1 spots.

One other thought: How do you feel about a mini Archipelago? Means something like where everyone only submits one game. Alternatively, restrict it to ~500 checks total per person with any number of games. Potentially lowers the odds of burnout. Might prohibit settings that someone finds fun, as a negative.

Does not mind doing another ~10000 item Archipelago, for the record. Realizes a person could just submit fewer games, if they wish. Wanted to pose the question.

This is fine by me. I'll probably bring another Link to the Past to it since last Archipelago's was disappointing. If !Collect is on, I may bring Starcraft 2 instead since that makes it go by much faster.

I've wanted to do something like this since what happened with Prime anyway. I'm totally on board with it. I personally like the check limit idea more than the one game limit, personally.

Meant to respond to this earlier but whoops I got distracted

A mini Archipelago sounds fine to me, though I just wonder if it'd be enough content to be worth all the time and communication to set up if it's over so fast. For me it'd just be more like an excuse to replay a game like FFV again rather than a whole thing like an Archipelago I'm participating in, I think the huge amount of checks and getting walled until other people can help is part of the fun. I'd probably treat it different from a standard Archipelago and just kinda do my own thing since there'd be less that others would rely on me for.
Still, I'd be really excited to sign up for it!

Sets up fewer games. Likely cuts down on the preparation time. Might drop it to 4 days instead of 6-7.

Could still be a decent amount of play time with the 500 check limit per person too. Fits 2, maybe 3 games, potentially (or, like, 15 Slay the Spires).

Copy/pastes this here while thinking about it. Plans to create/find a list of checks with the default YAMLs, if the 500 check thing happens. Helps to have settings people actually chose too.

A small one would be good! GT is currently pencilled in for 20th July - 3rd August if that helps with planning at all.
