With Toxic Orb I become immune to Hypnosis and Paralysis resulting in less hax to worry about and with Magic Guard, Toxic isn't doing any damage to me anyways. I basically switch into something that isn't going to be doing much to me like a special attacker then I Cosmic Power up or just Belly Drum straight away. I can then Softboiled off any damage and proceed to fire off +6, STAB, 140 BP Facades off a 262 attack stat. The attack stat isn't all too amazing, but when coupled with bulk and immunity to Status and capabilities to recover 50% HP through Softboiled.

Not really. Firstly, you are limited to Facade to attack. This means a large number of pokemon will resist you and a few will outright ignore you. Given the amount of Critical Hits and OHKO moves in the BT, Cosmic Stalling is probably not a great idea.

A Calm Minder set should work fairly well.

Why return simply because nothing in my knowledge resists this combinition
and i dont like the horrid accuracy of stone edge.

Got the idea of using chomp+gyra from beachboy and i lilke the intimidate factor..helps me setup.
What can improve this team?perhaps reflect/light screen on rotom in place of t-bolt?thoughts/suggestions/critic?
 
I think Lucario would fit well too, agreeing with Archer.

I don't really understand why you want Gyarados. The main reason I used it was to pair perfectly with Umbreon and its weaknesses. Not necessarily Garchomp. o_o
 
well iv been using it and am currently on 70..it does the job+intimidate is a major factor.and its weaknesses are coverd by chomp but sure i could replace it with luke!

out of the last 15 battles atleast 9 had legends and 4 were full legend teams :p!
whats happening?

Well, I guess you have a point with the rock-type and electric immunity. And I'd go special, giving you the flexibility to deal with both sides of the spectrum.

Nothing specific is really happening, by the way, you just ran into a lot of people with legendary Pocket Monsters. Remember, you're in Tier 4, meaning you'll see your fair share of legendary Pocket Monsters.

yeah its really weird.i mean i expect legends but not one after the other.

Do you have a Petaya Berry? (special attack boosting one) I used that when I didn't have Salac, worked pretty well.
 
i dont have any boosting berry as i dont have wifi:(:(:(:(:(
might get it in the summer when i visit the us.will see if those usb things are availible
till then i just got diamond/pearl,emerald and fire red:)
i guess i could go with sitrus?

lost at 82 to a latios.
it was inevitable id lose to a legend as i have faced more legends in this run then i have face in all my runs.MY fatal mistake.setup with a garchomp
move1:
trick a ramprados who stone edges
switch to chomp who takes about 35% from stone edge and i was like damn.nve and 35%
i thankfully outrun and SD
he edges again im at around 30% now
EQ and he dead.next up lapras..i outrage for the ko
next up latios who psychics me after outrunning:(
next up lucario.i dark pulse but he outruns and kos me with psychic no crit :(
luke is fragile.ill try one more run with luke i mean he did fine from 70-81.
another thing that pissed me off was an iron head from scizor broke lukes sub!
if i had setup with luke then maybe i woulda had a sub or atleast enough calm minds to survive and ko with darkpulse.oh well.that was heartbreaking.ill start another streak tommoro.
Qusetion:would you think this team can get over 150 wins?

That's why you do your best to get a Sub up. Besides, Luke 4x resists Rock and could have OHKOd it with Aura Sphere. After you Trick something, mess it up with TWave and Confuse Ray.

Do you have any access to Coloseum/GoD XD?
 
nope i live in a remote place in some godforsaken part of the planet but hopefully this march i will have acces to wifi so i can get the stat boosting berrys!
woulds this team makie it to 150.i dont think so..water attacks ruin it!

ok after try my hand at trick teams and failing miserably i decided to try my hand at yawn teams.
the result was fantastic..i broke my old record of 105 and made to 123

beachboys uxie with ceratin changes..i dint have access to platiunm so i decided to utilize the only yawn-u-turn combo.and with a slightly different ev spread.i din't like the idea of 1 stat superior to the other so i jsut brought it close with only 8 points difference.

Why bulky dos over scizor?
Because of intimidate and taunt.Taunt helps out against DT.
while garchomp covers its weaknesses and water+normal is only resisted by empoleon in my
knowledge.

How i lost:
opponent led with machamp,uxie puts it to asleep and u-turns out.
i send it chomp to absprb t-punch.the champ wakes up cause of chesto.i sleep it again and get chomp a sub and a SD.EQ FTW.
next up cress..damn it i need atleast 2 SD for the ko so i Sd again while he breaks my sub with ice beam.(atleast palmers needed 2 SD)
next up.....lanturn.i breath a sign of relife only to be welcomed by a quick claw ice beam.CHOMP DIES!(/insert swear word here/)
i send in uxie hoping to make it sleep again but quck cclaw activates again only to kill uxie.(it had 15% health left anyways)
i send in gyara hoping for a crit..return does 55%.
charge beam ko's me.

I really had fun using this team and have decided to use mainly yawn teams as i find it most fun to play.

Summary​
This is my current Battle Tower Team. As the name suggests, it works on the strategy of setting up while the opponent is sleeping. Well, I want a reliable team, so it can take a hit or two and not be haxed to death by a single critical hit. At the same time, it can't be stall-ish enough to let the opponent set up 6 Double Teams. I want something that I both enjoy and can use effectively.

It is mainly used to get a Yawn down, giving the others a free switch in. For the record, I heard about the Yawn strategy from BeachBoy, although the Yawn Teams originated from a Smogon member by the name of FastHippo. Trust me, it works well. Wish could provide support for the rest of the Team, but everything should get passed a Sub, anyway. Charm shuts down Physical Attackers, so I can set up on them.

Salamence is being used over Garchomp for a number of Reasons. First and foremost due to it's extra bulk with Intimidate and it's resistance to both Bug and Fighting - Umbreon's weaknesses. Substitute is awesome for avoiding incoming status and Quick Claw users. Yache is for insurance, but I'm up for suggestions.

NP Ape is rather awesome. It can OHKO almost anything the BT throws at me. That's assuming Focus Blast actually hits. I am considering CM Luke over 'Nape. Actually, that's a really good idea...

Explanation of Names - For the Curious
(Old and New)
Captain Slow- A reference to Top Gear (BBC Car Show) Host James "Capt Slow" May. And because, you know, Slowbro's not exactly fast...
GameShark - An outdated Cheat System that was common in the GBA era. Well, he's a Shark, in a game. :D
Guns - A split reference to the cannon-arms on the Pt Sprite and my Favourite Band: Guns 'N Roses.
Sabbath - Another band reference, this time to Black Sabbath. That wouldn't fit, but Umbreon is black, so... Plus it's a cool name on it's own.
Revolver - A Replacement for "Guns", so it's appropriate. Velvet Revolver is also another band.
Astronomy - A song. Plus Mence is starry and all that. :D

Umbreon needs 252sp.def eves as you have charm to shut down physical attacker +intimidate so i dont see the point of defence eves.another thing that good benifit your team is flash.Replace it with sub.and replace lum with focus sash.
Thats salamcnce is beyond perfect i cant begin to describe.
As for infernape.
you have 2 choices.
Choice 1:replace it.
i dont like the idea of using ape in the tower:p.but that just me.
Choice 2:change Focus Blast to something moe relaible..perhaps hp fighting and give it life orb
now while the opponenet is asleep you have to np only once + lo = anhilation:)
It looks solid apart from umbreon with needs a little attention.
You really dont wanna miss ith focus blast.

Well, I'm not too inclined to agree with Umbreon. Flash is unreliable and SubPassing works rather well, so I'll stick with that. Also, Wish has proven utterly useless, so Imma put Charm over that. I do agree with more SDef EVs, but Copying and Pasting Beachy's Umbreon doesn't help me.

No offence but your not getting very far with a nice aimed Focus Blast Umbreon.And with all those Quick Claw ohko moves flying around.
If you dont Wanna copy his Team atleast Then try Vapereon out!

Wha? I meant that you don't need to just refer me to another set when mine is perfectly viable.
Scroll up a bit. See the CSS Box? That Umbreon is almost the same as "yours", except without the SAtk EVs. And for the record, we decided to use Umbreon at the same time, so I don't know what your comment about Vaporeon is trying to get at...

Yeah, I'm replacing Infernape with CM Luke; It's got great synergy with Mence.

I'm not using Weavile for three reasons. Firstly, I don't want to run two Physical Attackers, Secondly, it get's walled by the same stuff as Salamence and lastly because I've tried it ages ago and it's quite the disappointment. That was a double-flawless one.

anyways the one with the equal spread is ok if you are inclind to use it.What purpose does lum serve.your better of with leftovers on umbreon as he can simply sub behind them and even if he does get hit with w-o-w or t-wave it wont make much of a difference.Leftovers might benifit more.
As for lucario.id go with salac(wish i had access to it).but your team will have problems with....

Umbreon won't be in for long. It's there to Yawn, Sub and Pass. If it's a physical attacker, I'll Yawn, Charm, Sub, Pass. Lum Berry keeps it from being shut down by Sleep/Paralysis.
Umbreon is bulky enough to take nearly any hit thrown at it. Anything that will OHKO it will be Physical Fighting or Bug, therefore taken by Salamence. Weavile won't pose a major threat, as it can't break Umbreon and I make sure to have a sub up before killing the set-up fodder.

Does anyone else want to post in here or just dark seeker?
