I have a gargantuan vacation till August cause I decided to take a year of rest from school... It isn't a smart choice, but it is refreshing tbh.

O: Perfect opportunity to take lots of pictures! I've never been a fan of formals, to be honest >>;; The only reason why I went to prom in high school was because my boyfriend at the time wanted to XD Otherwise I would have been at home~

This Formal I'll probably go, if my friends go. But I'd SO relive high school prom all over again. Going solo was insanely epic. Helps that it was held in one of the most famous venues in NYC.

Ehhh, it's similar to prom, I guess. Might even be the same thing. I just know there's going to be food and dancing :D

Cool! I had so much fun at my highschool prom. More fun than the graduation a couple of weeks later, even. And I was cute in my dress and hair. Never had such curly hair before or after that.

Well, for me too... Because I had too much to drink in the morning so in the evening when we were supposed to be all party and joy, I was hungover 8D

Haha Ashley <3 Because I edit the fonts or sizes or alignments every other hour or so, something xD The era where I could keep the exact same theme for a long time is apparently gone.

Speaking of themes, why are you so naked? You and Jamais alike.

Oh right, I forgot, you and Alex are cooking up some kind of avatar magic :3 And your signature is fine, sorry dear.

Prom at my school is a rip-off. Last year it was $50 a person, no meals at all, which is why I went to the military ball hosted by our ROTC regiment, which was $25 for one, $40 for a pair, with a hot sit-down meal with real napkins and rolls and everything.

This year the military ball is $20 for one, and $30 for a pair, and prom tickets are $60 now... same meal schedule. Basically you could take yourself and seven other people to a sit-down meal with a dance floor and billiards for the price of you and your SO to the school cafeteria. Sounds like a deal, doesn't it? \o/

Did the venue for your prom change from the past year to the current year? It could have just been the cost for the place to host an event that caused the prices to go up (even still, your backup plan sounds like a waaaaaay more fun way to spend your money. Prom is completely overhyped.)

Do you go to a military school?

Everybody whined about my prom (we call it a formal here) but I thought it was super disrespectful to all those who put the effort in to plan it. I had a great night myself, I got to dress up all snazzy-like

Nobody really goes to proms over here, maybe either because they're rare or because everybody is just too lazy to put insanely much effort into outfit etc. for only one night and such

Weed is another thing I'd never touch. I know it's healthier than cigarettes and is used for medical purposes, but it's just not my thing. I've always wanted to try Cards Against Humanity too. Combinations like this make it seem like a blast of a game

Spoiler:

Also semi-related note: I see those vapor pens all over my campus. It seems like a lot people have them at my college. It looks like a good way to smoke without spreading nicotine in the air and also help you quit smoking if you want to.

Cards against humanity, i always wanted it. My friend has it and we played like a month ago, had a blast and won 2nd place lol.

When i saw Pewdiepie and his girlfriend playing it, he did a card that said:

"When i was tripping on acid, ________ became _________." He did "white people" and "black people", so in the end the result was:

"When i was tripping on acid, white people became black people." I couldnt stop laughing.

And we have no proms in my highschool, which i don't care because i couldnt get a date anyway.

I go to a public school, but it's federal rather than state because it's for military kids. In lamen's terms it's annual budget is over six times that of the city I live in. :P

Our military ball is always hosted at the Elkhorn Catering and Conference Center on our Army base, while prom is hosted on school grounds. Last year there were tons of people I knew that straight up didn't go to prom because they didn't have $150 for tickets and dinner for one night. We got that for a third of the price, plus it was real food.

I think my only complaint about the military ball was the chicken on the bone; neither I or my date fancied it. And that's just us :P. Everything else was stellar.

Eh, my prom wasn't that enjoyable either \: The food was sub-par; only thing worth paying for it was the dessert >>;; It was a chilly spring day and the theme they had going that year wasn't that great.

I don't even remember my prom really, it was so long ago now :'). I just remember everyone left by 11 to go to house parties.
