I've always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon.. but what's ironic is that I'm scared of falling from the top of bleachers (like they would collapse), and those things are tied down, unlike a hot air balloon :P

I have a slight fear of heights, so no thank you! Also, you can't really steer those things, can you? I'd be terrified a huge wind storm would come and cause me to crash.

A hot air balloon would be cool to go up in. I use to have a fear of heights, till I was 'forced' onto a roller coaster ride that was H-U-G-E and when I got off, I wanted to go on it again and I no longer care for heights! :)​

I don't know whether I'm scared of heights, but I do love experiencing the thrill when I'm high up in the air, so a trip on a hot air balloon would be amazing for me even if I turn out to be scared.

Just looked it up. Apparently in Middletwon NY they start at $179. :p

From my google fu skills it rounds out to 200 per person. Doesn't sound that bad, as its not exactly what you would call an everyday thing.

Holy ****, curiosity lead me to find hot air balloon prices here in my area, and it's very expensive. Like $400-$500 per person.

Well, it's Florida. I'd imagine that to be a hell of a lot more scenic.

Although the thought of riding in hot air balloons makes me shiver. :S

I would imagine that you could at least have some sort of control on where a hot air balloon goes.. I'd imagine you would at least have the control to change altitude and that's it.

I guess the altitude would have to do with the fire or whatever that burns. I see them weekly, no joke. Other side of town there's a big gardens place that a lot of people come to visit. They do them there, along with most things you can think of.

...there has to be some way to steer them. o_O If not... then perhaps I'll pass on the chance of going on one.
