    Catch & Evolve is a tournament format that encourages creativity and the use of the few resources you're given to start off with. In this format, a randomly generated base stage Pokemon is given to each participant. Upon defeating their opponent, a participant can "catch" one of the opponent's Pokemon and add it to their team, and also evolve either the Pokemon they just "caught" or one of the Pokemon already on their team. Catch & Evolve has a few stipulations and guidelines that keep the format running smoothly so I'll outline them below. Follow them to a tee so that you don't get confused or disqualified.

    About Starters
    ... each participant is issued one Pokemon;
    ... each participant has one re-roll, meaning they can get a new Pokemon;
    ... however, upon re-roll, the new Pokemon is permanent and cannot be changed.
    ... the following Pokemon will not be issued as starters:

    Pokemon without an evolution or those that have already evolved AND

    About Catching and Evolving
    ... a "round" is defined as one match-up;
    ... only one Pokemon can be caught from a defeated opponent per round;
    ... only one Pokemon can be evolved from a participant's current party per round;

    About Battling
    ... Focus Sash may not be used in round one (prevents stuff like SS Clamperl from being advantageous);
    ... Eviolite may be used in round one and on;
    ... no moves or abilities are restricted from Pokemon, but builds must be legal in OU.

    An example of how this plays out, for those of you who are visual:

    Spoiler:

    Round 1
    Exile vs. Squirrel
    ScraggyTrainer vs. destinedjagold
    Sphealo vs. Aslan
    Necrum vs. Bidoof FTW
    static vs. apocalypseArisen
    Christos vs. King Syn oddish
    Yoshikko vs. Mueez

    Round 2
    Necrum vs. Archer99

    WE'RE FULL! POST HERE IF YOU WANT IN. I will private message you your starters once we have either 16 or 32 participants. If there's a number of participants between, I'll have to make two separate brackets, because this will not work very well with byes.
