Inspired by real events. Yesterday at school there was this thing in the cafeteria called "Club Days." And what that was is there were tables with info on the various clubs in school you can join and representatives from each club explaining more about what their club is about. People were allowed to go to each club's table to learn more about clubs and possibly sign up for a few.

So this made me wonder; Have you ever been involved with any clubs in your school? Or are you currently involved in any clubs in your school at this moment? How active of a member are/were you ?? Did you attend every meeting or just went to few here and there? Do you/did you like these clubs?

I signed for a few clubs yesterday. It was mostly cause if you got 5 signatures on this one sheet , you got a free lunch. So I mainly did it to get a free burger and fries. XD But I did sign up for a couple. I signed up for the Christian/religious group there, the art club , what I think was their school paper/magazine and this one called The Strategic Board Games Club which is a club for games like chess, Dungeons and Dragons, Risk, etc. Games that involve strategy. I may try to be active in a few of them, but I'll likely drop them all except maybe the Christian club. I'll likely also stay in the art club since they don't actually meet but just do various activites for the school and visit the art museum and stuff. I really don't want to spend a lot of time each day just doing club meetings. I never really was involved in any club at high school cause we didn't have much and none interested me. Though I did get involved with the Theatre. It was nice, but my acting wasn't good and I left when ci realized acting wasn't something I was good at or wanted to do. We'll see if I like any of the clubs I'm in now in college.

    I remember one day in school I randomly walked into the chess club out of boredom. I totally destroyed one of the smartest kids of our year level, it was so satisfying. He wanted to rematch me so badly but I wouldn't give him the chance to redeem himself. I just walked out smiling and laughing obnoxiously like a troll. {XD}

I haven't been involved with any clubs. None have really interested me. However, I did baseball for 3 years, so I guess that would sort of count, right?

I was part of the newspaper staff for the first two years of high school. Then I was a member of the math club during my sophomore year (omg shocker wow). I was more active on the newspaper staff because it was obviously the best thing out there. I was gonna be active in Biology, because my favorite biology teacher was the coordinator, but I was only limited to two clubs, and I chose math over biology. Derp.

For my final two years, I wasn't as involved. I had an after school job.

In college, I joined the Adventure Club. Most recently, I went down south of the Mexican Border to help deported immigrants with food, water, blankets and provide them shelter because all they have is nothing. It felt really good. The main point of the club is to travel and explore many places around the valley, like this one time I hiked around the Sonoran Desert and we reached up to the Colorado River. It was pretty sweeeeet. Then last but not least, I was also part of the Mentorship team while I attended school in San Diego. I mentored new students that had no idea what to do in class. I had to maintain a pretty good GPA to remain in that club, which I did :)

I misread this for a minute and seriously thought you said you were part of the Adventure Time Club in college and thought "Why can't I go to this school. I wish my school had an Adventure Time club. Lucky." D: But that still sounds like a wonderful club, any club that helps out people like that is excellent and all the exploring sounds fun.

I was on Academic Team in middle school, but didn't want to deal with it in high school. I was in band, marching band and jazz b and my first three years of high school, but I wasn't in it this year because of the high new prices and the director. A bunch of my friends quit and we were all high chairs or section leaders so the music program's gone to the pits right now. I'm in National Honor Society right now and I used to be in FCA. I'm not in many clubs, and I regret it now that I look back at it.

I was in quite a few clubs! I was a member of the Beta Club my entire time throughout HS and was probably most active in it. I also joined the Spanish and Math clubs as both interested me and had benefits that I just couldn't pass up haha. Other than those I think I may have joined a few more that I didn't like and wasn't very active in.

My school doesn't have any clubs aside from basketball and rugby which I don't play. :(

It's really boring. They do join cross country though and I signed up last year but dropped out due to my concerns for my poor stamina and other factors, but that's not really a club.

Throughout my school career, I was involved in band (regular, pit orchestra, jazz, and marching), computer club, yearbook club, the drama club, the art club, and the French club. I was only on a soccer team and baseball team.

I was so lazy with clubs throughout school. ;/ The only club I'd ever joined was the DDR club in 10th grade high school and then I never bothered in uni even after being forced to check out club booths and all that jazz. Kind of wish I'd gotten more involved but laziness prevails! :D

Mostly sport clubs. In high school, I was in the tennis and football clubs.

We had a DDR club too in high school! :D Except my friend and I were the only ones out of like 20 people who would actually play...Other than that, I was part of the badminton club throughout high school, along with the team and there was also plushie club where we just hung out and made felt objects :3

I was in my schools art club back in 6th grade, but didn't continue through 7th and 8th. I've never really thought of doing any clubs at school. I don't see whats so good about them. My main problem with them is that there are people there.

All the clubs I tired to go to I either felt I was forcing myself to go to or the ones I wanted to go to no one else went to.

At my school, we don't really do much clubs.
But we've currently formed a robotics team, which I'm a part of that'll be participating in this year's FIRST Robotics challenge. I Joined because I had a love for robots so..
Its great thought! I'm helping garner support for the future of society! Cannot wait to see what my contribution to the Robotics community brings! :t094:

Currently I'm on a Robotics Club making our way into making lego robots from a kit that is very very expensive lol.

I'm always on techie kind of clubs since that is my forte. :)

During my freshman year in high school, it was mandatory for students to be in a club, and as such we had monthly "club days", where all other class periods were shortened and then we had an extra period in the day devoted for clubs. During that year though, there were more clubs than ever around the school, and we had a "Computer Club", so I joined that one :p it was essentially a "watch us play around with Linux" type club, but at least it was a free period for me to have fun in an area I enjoy working with, at school nonetheless.

The mandatory clubs were wiped out though from my sophomore through senior years in high school down to an optional level. It wasn't until senior year though that I was in a club again, and that was for my school's chapter of the National Honors Society.

I was in a lot of clubs in high school:
    Jazz Band
    Wind Ensemble
    Marching Band
    Pep Band
    Writer's Club
    Tennis
    Drama

In college, I'm still doing band and I'm also in creative writer's club. What a shocker, I know. :P
