Chit-Chat: Community Supporter DCC

I just don't look good in any colour! My username is too long. And I agree with you Went. I'd like to see members receiving it for supporting the community some other way than financially, but winning a contest doesn't really make you a PC supporter. I'd rather see a person claim blog access and/or an emblem or something.

I've always felt a bit shy about my supportership. I can't really go around and flaunt like "I'm a supporter and deserve all these perks and green italics :D:D" because as you very well know, I didn't donate for myself. ;)

It might be difficult to define what "other ways than financially" could make one deserve supportership though, no?

My username is too long.
Nah, I look amazing and mine's way longer than yours. I actually think you look swell in green.

I don't flaunt it anyway, but it was nice to see you get the perks and what not all the same.

I'm sure there could be something that we could say would contribute to it, the same way someone gets the "Helping Hand" emblem. In saying that though, it'd most likely end up being too subjective.

I want to change my username at some point, I will never give up the hope lol.

No your username is far too iconic lol. Not after winning favourite username of the year! I'd probably make up a word. Or change it to "Kvothe", or "Daenerys". Kvothe pronounced "kuh-vo-th" and the other being "Den-air-ees". But most people probably wouldn't pronounce them right lol.

Oh right, I forgot that haha. But yeah, I guess.

I sure didn't pronounce them right xD Is someone looking forward to GoT starting again?

Gavin, I think J-Law would be a good username for you. -continues to stare at your signature-

More than anything in the world. I'm currently listening to one of the audiobooks and just went and followed 10 GoT actors on Twitter just now lmao I'm such a loser for Game of Thrones.

Watch it with me?

Jude Law? That's an interesting notion.

I don't really like when supporterships are given out in contests, it defeats the purpose :(

Handing them out for winning contests? Naaah. Supporters are Supporters because they donate to the community via funds. So if you're going to pay for them just so that they can have the perks, that really does defeat the entire purpose. 8| I personally kind of wish there was a way for Supporters to gain that status because they contribute well as far as their posts, and how they carry themselves. But with a community so big, that could easily turn into bias, and the fact that the staff notice some people more than others, etc.

I dunno, I usually just think of myself as a nice person who likes PC so I donated a little money, that's all :l I dont go around saying "hey guys Im the greatest cause Im a supporter look at me and my shiny green username" Though I do admit, since I donated I sometimes feel like I should be doing more to support this place( and by that I mean just posting around more, being more active. helping other users, writing blogs and things like that)

Im not sure what Drew is trying to say here, supporters gaining what status exactly?

I don't really like when supporterships are given out in contests, it defeats the purpose :(

I understand, but it's there sort of to give supportership to those who have absolutely no way to donate, like me.

What's a supporter prize? I'm kind of lost. Also hi, it's weird being green.

I always thought blue was the best look on you.

I still like that you can win Supportership or gift it to another, its sort of a nice thing. As Hikari said there are some people that can't get it otherwise, so it gives them the chance to be supporters. I really dont mind that it can be won in contests and such, haha, even though I donated myself for mine.

Also, be noted that winning supportership as a contest prize does not give you the Supporter emblem, it's only given if the supportership was obtained by a method of donation, whether it'd be yourself or someone else donating for you.

I didn't get the emblem when I initially got Tier 4, it was when I became Tier 5 that I got the emblem and that was because $5 was donated to me.

EVERYONE, LOOK

Pelipper still matches my name. This proves that a change from blue to green supporter color was totally ok. Pelipperapproved. Pelipproved.

Omg you look fantastic. @~@ The shiny Pelipper fits more with the green name than the regular Pelipper fit with the blue!

Teheheheheh
Thanks :3 Yeah, regular Pelipper only almost kind of matched the mod blue.

I'm actually surprised of how quickly people (me lol) adjusted to being green.

I think the green looks good on everyone. XD Didn't have to get used to it on myself either, because I was already using an icon with green in it, and then suddenly *~it matched~*.

I never had the chance to be blue, so there was no adjusting my own looks for the change. xD

I'm pretty much used to it now. It's cool . . . I got so used to the blue, and everyone had blue, except for certain staff members, so it wasn't so unique. The green is fun. d:

Rika, you jumped the gun on the invasion. >:C lol
