6th Gen Confirmed Information Discussion

I thinks someone mentioned it earlier or perhaps in a different thread but it could be a location within the safari zone with certain Pokemon appearing out of the grass nibbling on the PokeBlocks. But i hope it is a new post game route as XY had none. I doubt we'll revisit the Sevii islands but perhaps all those islands in the sea will finally be accessible and it could be a route there.

The safari zone must be redesign then or one of the tall grass routes were. They did redesign route 117 so some of the others may also have gotten a chance.

Anyways I like how Wailmer can be ridden on underwater. I wonder if other mons will be similar, of if it'll be the only one like Lapras is with surfing. Perhaps Seaking/Goldeen can be the Waterfall pokemon that appears in the overworld as it can learn waterfall naturally like how Wailmer and Wailord learn dive naturally.

Remember in the originals, Wallaces' Gym had an iced path in which cracked if you didn't take the right route. Either way it looks pretty neat! Also the Diving looks stunning too.

Wow, I just noticed the corsala in that picture. And now, it makes sense as to how you can breathe under water in the game

Here's what's making me sad for once,

Brawly's Makuhita is only Lv16. That probably means the gym leader levels are being nerfed, which is kinda sad.

I'll admit I had a very hard time trying to beat him with Grovyle alone in the originals, but this lower level makes it less intense.

It is a shame tbh, after the embarrassingly easy Gym leaders in X and Y not to mention the elite four surely Game Freak will increase the difficulty again for these games (Norman's Slaking still haunts me), hopefully the elite four will have more than four pokemon as well but i guess we'll have to see.

I think Game Freak is caring too much about the kids again. That's the main reason why a lot were not happy with the EXP Share mechanic changes in X/Y, but there was also a statement from Masuda that people are getting busier which also explains the changes.

I'm just imaging how much people who enjoyed the challenge present in the originals would be fuming at this. Next thing we could learn is the Elite Four having just four Pokemon again.

That's why we need a challenge mode for those who want a challenge.

Don't get your hopes up because there were lots of cases of features introduced that people loved only for them to disappear in the very next game. I have a feeling that Challenge/Easy Mode may never make its way out of B2/W2, but Game Freak could surprise us.

Eh. Brawly's main at level 16 sucks for sure, but I'm not too worried. I honestly think the Rematch system from Emerald is going to come back, and justify everything. Or at least I hope so. Only reason why it would be so low for me. But on the upside, loving that VS screen, much better then the XY one.

I really hope they bring back the challenge mode, and if they do they shouldn't make it version exclusive.

The thing with Black 2 and White 2 having version exclusivity with Challenge/Easy Mode is probably to get to convince players into interacting with each other... locally. Yeah, you basically needed a second DS just to get the one that wasn't in your version over.

But let's hope they don't nerf the Gym Leaders too much, if they do have to nerf the levels slightly they should make up for it by giving their Pokemon better movesets.

Feels kinda ironic to me, that they seem to be caring about the kids yet they try to care for the older audiences as well what with knowing we're getting busier. But considering the Elite Four will be sequential, I would hope they'll have five Pokémon again, even if they end up with duplicates.

Well the last time we had a sequential Elite Four was in Sinnoh, and people were sad when they realized how stupidly easy Unova and Kalos' format was, making them fought in any order and all at the same level as each other.

The thing most people loved about a sequential format was that they got stronger with every new member battled.

Johto's HGSS's E4 says hi xD. It was the last remakes that we had sequential E4.
Unova's wasn't easy, as there was no hint at what type they had unless one spoiled themselves or tried to fight them all and then restarted, and even then they were difficult.

Anyways it appears that Hoenn's sequential E4 is back, so that'll hopefully be a good thing.

Johto's new E4 was a little bizarre IMO. The level difference was terribly scary and unapologetic.

I expected Lance's rematch team to hover at around Lv68 for the highest level. So damn wrong. Thankfully the match happened after Red so I was quite prepared.

Hopefully the level difference won't be so great in (possible) ORAS rematches.

I'm exactly the same! I couldn't help but notice that his Makuhita was Lv. 16, and I couldn't remember whether it was the same in RSE so I looked it up and iirc it was 18 in RS, and 19 in E. Baring in mind this is only the second gym, being nerfed by 2 levels.

Wow, that is really a shame. A nerf is exactly the opposite that I wanted. It isn't even necessary, I mean, we completed the game all fine with +2 levels? I just don't get the reasoning behind it, since it's not like they give the AI massive intelligence and hax levels so there's always a way to beat obstacles (Gym Leaders) in the form of grinding, especially near Brawly since there are so many places to train.

Well, great. Not only have they remade a game and made the protagonists look like 9 year olds, but now they've done an X&Y 2.0 and made it baby-easy.

/sigh :(

The characters are 10 so them looking 9 isn't that big of a deal...

Btw Whitney's whole team was nerfed one level compared to her GSC team. While Bugsy's whole team was stronger by one level compared to his GSC team. So it's possible that some Hoenn gym leaders could see their teams go down 1-2 levels while others see their teams go up a level or 2.
Perhaps Roxanne's team will be 15 and 16 respectably (assuming she keeps her two mons from RS instead of having three like in Emerald).

Also keep in mind it could just be beta, and that they'll get their RS or Emerald levels.
