Couldn't agree more, but the complaining didn't really start until after Johto.

Jhoto was totally awesome. It was kinda like the first two generations didn't have much faults. That's my opinion, anyway. The expectations weren't high at those times either. I think.

Johto is the one reason impossible to hate, it seems.
The atmosphere, the pokemon, the content. Almost everything.
Johto was my first game and I loved every moment of it, albeit I was only 5 XD.
