Arabic is pretty when I see it written but I don't think I could ever learn it, haha.

Arabic calligraphic art, and even the conventional script can seem pretty intimidating if you try to read it, even for someone who's good at it. Usually, the 'prettier' it is, the harder it is to read.

I'm half Libyan, and therefore, my family (dad's side) speaks Arabic. My parents tried to get me to learn it as a kid but I wasn't having it, which I regret D: I want to be able to communicate with my family without needing my dad to translate everything for me.

Solid purpose.
Haha, had the same case as yours, my parents forced me to study the language and I wasn't too keen on learning. Regret it.

The exception would be my high school French teacher >_> in spite of being fluent, she was incapable of teaching the language to my class. 90% of us hated the class and never really got anywhere near fluent. The 10% that did were just great with languages. Like, if you asked a 2nd year French student of hers to "speak some French" we would say "....ummm....J'aime bien le chocolat....?". It was awful.
This is exactly like my French teacher and class. She couldn't teach and so no one cared to learn anything beyond "Il pleut comme une vache qui pisse." xD

Heh, English isn't my first language and I studied it so well that my teachers can't believe it if they don't notice my light British-Russian accent. Or the fact that I say "bloody" a bit too often when ranting.

Doesn't particularly sound like she was fluent. I mean, maybe her skill in teaching was terrible too but I feel like if she could speak the language well, it can't be all that hard to teach it. I dunno, just my thoughts.

English is technically my second language but growing up in an English environment has made it my strongest. I can still speak French fluently and I try to practice it as much as I can, but it's not as good as my English. Which is a shame.

Back in high school our only Spanish teacher didn't even know Spanish. He just taught us straight from the book. If ever we had a question, he told us to look it up in the back of the book.

-_-

I skipped class this morning. It's my only elective and has nothing to do with what I'm studying at school. I haven't gone in about a month. 8am Wednesday morning I just don't have the motivation to go to class. I wasn't even tired or anything when I woke up. I got up, sat in bed, looked at my clock, contemplated my options, and went back to bed.

I have an essay due for my class too, which I'm just about to finish right now. I turn into such a slacker toward the end of the year, it's really bad lol...

You poor geese. I'm on spring break. :) But it's pretty boring so lol. At least I don't have to get up early til I go to work on Sunday.

*High five*! Me too, but yeah, it's fairly boring for me as well.

I done re-subscribed to WoW. I mean, WOO YEAH PARTY IN CANCUN.
My life man... My life. ;_;
Though I can't play until I finish work on something for a friend.

Too much LoL for WoW at this point in my life.

I'm going to write a French test in like 20 minutes and then I'm done that class for the year yaaaaaay :) Tomorrow's my last day of classes and then I have two exams next week and another one two weeks after that. So pumped to get my summer vacay started.

Can't say I'm too excited for summer. Summer means half of April off, working in May, classes in June and July, and band camp in August. what is my life ;_;

This one time, in band camp...

That joke gets so old and stupid, whether you're in band or not. Just saying lol.

For me Spring break is the time after my exams end and before my new term begins ;-; aka the most satisfying time in the world.

Bah I'm sad break is over :'( I had mine last week. BUT! I'm on my last quarter of school for the year, so in a few months IT WILL BE SUMMER TIME! I'm taking summer classes and working...so it won't be that much of a break. But i'm excited for it nonetheless.

Today isn't bad either, I only have one class \o/ Tomorrow I have 3 in a row and then work right after....which wouldn't be too bad if I was allowed to eat in any of my classes -_-

My spring break is April 5-16; looking forward to getting a much-needed rest ;___; I've been really frustrated with school lately to the point where I sleep pretty damn bad. Last night I kept waking up and the bed just felt really disgusting to be on. I'd be surprised if I got 5 hours of sleep tbh, orz.

aaand I'll be taking summer courses since I'm trying to graduate faster. Gotta get that internship done sometime, too >:

My Spring Break starts tomorrow. Well, it technically starts next Monday but tomorrow we have a General Strike so all classes have been cancelled and this Friday we only have one class and our teacher is having a conference at that time so he can't be in two places at once :P
