I never eat turkey on thanksgiving. Sorry, I just can't do poultry 'A'

I have no clue what to think of that new lightsaber.

HD Millenium Falcon is super-win, though.

Earlier today my mother was watching Slingblade on the telly, and I kept asking her why on Earth she was watching the movie rendition of Gunslinger, confusing the two. She's a huge Stephen King fan and it baffled me why she would ever watch a movie based off of a book, let alone a King book. >;

I worked today, so I didn't have any leftovers at lunch. We went to the house of some of our friends not long after, but I didn't really like anything that was provided. Then after we got home, I was going to have some leftovers, but then brushed my teeth while I was upstairs. Right now I don't feel much motivated to eat anything, sadly.

are you implying that movies based off of books are not worth watching because IF SO then I have a SLEW of examples that would prove you wrong. (;

That Star Wars trailer is the worst lol. It has no tonal consistency, it's just a heap of random footage thrown together - and after all this time the cinematography still looks like it came out of a high schooler's camcorder

I don't think the new Star Wars movie is all that exciting. It's just nothing but an overhyped extension to a cash cow franchise, it feels even weird with a lot of the actors having aged significantly since the old movies. Kinda ruins the characters in my opinion.

In fact, a lot of things can make or break a movie for me. The plots are the main concerns for a movie being "good" in my opinion, I like plots that are unique, original and not too cookie-cutter.

> Stephen King

no. not with the King.

Misery. Kubrick's The Shining. the '70s Carrie (although I haven't seen that one yet, I just hear it's nice). man The Shining made for an incredible movie even though it was pretty different from the book, you can't deny that!

There's a Kubrick exhibit in my city til January... I've been meaning to go. I love 2001: Space Odyssey and Clockwork Orange.

you have to go, that sounds awesome. I love every movie of his I've seen (Strangelove, 2001, Clockwork Orange, The Shining, FMJ) except for Eyes Wide Shut which was incredibly boring and Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman were both pretty awful choices for a lead. the two you mentioned are especially good, though; they're both in my top 5 ever.

We're finally getting a cat :D

My cousin has a black kitty cat named Arthur for us to have, since she has a pack of dogs and he isn't getting along well with the other cat, so we're going to have him. \o/

i'm part of the minority who is with stephen king when it comes to the shining
you know
we hate the movie adaptation

Some books really shouldn't have been turned into movies. :( or at least they could have been better. Much better.

GOOD. CATS. As I'm typing this, my own kitten is on the floor playing with a toy on a thread from a stick that I hold with the bend of my knee. What don't I do to make her happy? 8)

ALSO this was apparently my 16000nd post on PokéCommunity. Yikes.

7th is probably as high as I'll go because I fully expect Rika and Hikari and probably Patchinick to overtake me in the coming months.

16,000.... i remember when forever had the highest post count
or at least
unofficially, as i think lightning might have had the highest at the time
but if forum games were to ever turn on post count it'd be like an extra 40k for nica alone

I actually really miss Nica... because she played a part in me getting supportered. But I'll always remember her insanely high postcount, and the fact she was someone I looked up to in the early days.

And wait that list Zeffy posted... I'm the ninth highest poster? That is totally shocking, I knew I had a high postcount but wasn't expecting it to be that high.

Bring it on. And I know how my usual routine goes so yeah, we'll catch you fast!

It's also fun to notice that of the top 10, I'm the only one who joined PC during the 2010's, meaning I'm essentially the highest postcount of those who joined from 2010-present.
