I'm excited about it every year and this year is no exception. I am already looking forward to putting up the tree!

It's bad enough that I listened a little to holiday tunes yesterday as well, so that should show you my excitement :3

Too bad though that Thanksgiving and Black Friday got pushed back a week due to November not starting on Thursday this year :( now that means I have to wait an extra week to indulge in the delicious meal! >_>

Oh I didn't even realize that D: I guess waiting a week though isn't too bad. Thinking about Thanksgiving right now though is making me incredibly hungry. I cannot wait to taste some Turkey :D

I have no tree as my place is too small.. well.. I have a tiny like 8-inch mini wire one :3 But no way to decorate it.

Last year for Christmas I got a Hummingbird Bakery cookbook so this year I'm gonna try baking new christmas sweets and cake for everyone :3 Nomnom

Holiday treats are the best <33

And it's all about the ham on Christmas Day! It's just so weird that after 18 years my family has kept the tradition of us getting up at 7am on Christmas morning to open gifts, where I'm the one that has to pass everything out to the rest of the family, then we all open as I pass the gifts out from under the tree. We eat our big meal on Christmas day, too.. and on the day after we use whatever leftover ham there is for homemade Cuban sandwiches.

7am? I am always up by 5am ready to open them :( I have no patience.

Well, Christmas is just another day for me, though it was a good excuse for me in the past to beg my mom for random stuff.

That's kinda sad, you guys. D=
Today in modern society Christmas isn't even about Christ so much anymore, as it is about spreading cheer, and good will towards men. And fattening company wallets.

These days, the holiday season isn't really meant to be associated with just Christmas considering a lot of the major religious holidays and celebrations happen at the end of the year.. I think it's really a great time for people to be cheery and different from the rest of the year.

Different as in how? My family has always treated holidays like regular old day. (except no school)

Just time off from work/school and being able to see family (and maybe friends) you never really get to see often. And being able to indulge in rather large meals. But this is coming from a person who doesn't treat the holidays as an ordinary day, so yeah..

Yeah, I guess that matters for some (actually quite a lot of) people.
