Lately things have been dead around here probably due to studying.. it's worse over at the showdown server xD

Yeah, it's very quiet here lately... I would have been on the Showdown server by now but sadly I can't visit it for a while because my computer overheats a lot when I get on there, and hence the thermal shutdown triggers which angers me. I might send my computer for repairs later this week so that's the reason I'm invisible in case anyone was wondering.

I was once considering joining PC when I was still in high school around 2 years before I actually joined, but I always had important things to do so I ended up lurking as a guest for years... until my eventual join date in 2011.

Well, at all forums I've been a member of, October is surely one of those quiet months and it seems to me that PC is no exception to this.. although we still get some good activity here compared to those other forums, I'm sure it's still noticeable when PC's activity level drops down.

Yeah, it does seem like activity levels have dropped significantly recently, especially in the server. There was a moment when it hit an all-time low where there were little more than 2 people on - myself and another person whom I can't recall. That was the lowest I've seen ever since my time there.

I think you'll find that the reason it's so dead here is that Pokemon X and Y came out just over a week ago. All the activity will have been diverted up there where it probably should be for now :P

It'll come back, they always come crawling back.

The showdown server has been dead since Sunday as well.. like something happened yesterday and a lot of people seemed to follow. It was fine on Friday and definitely active on Saturday due to the CommDay though.

Hopefully once everyone's midterms are over, PC will resume with normal activity.. in fact, I'd say with the release of X and Y on the 12th, it brought increased activity all over the forum.

Yeah i guess so too... Forum Games is dead as heck (only 2-3 people regularly post there, me being one of them), and i also saw that happen at lots of other places... Its a small shame, but soon or late everything will be normal again.

I do hope that activity soon returns to normal both here and at the battle server. It really sucks sometimes when every place seems like a ghost town :(

That's what I hate about writing essays in a time constraint like that.. it causes me to get severe writer's cramp, and the worst part is if I have to write in pencil, the graphite somehow manages to get onto my hand >_<

Yeah, I'm not going on the battle server for a while because my computer overheats quickly when I get on. I guess the regulars there will have to get used to a dead server a bit longer. I remember when those leaked screenshots of X/Y footage were surfacing in the last few days leading up to release.

That one thread regarding said leaks stole loads of activity, and heck I contributed to it a lot.

This reminds me when my first laptop was overheating when on battle servers, I think it's about mid-February iirc. I guess battle servers can take much memory sometimes. And even though I'm still hyped on X and Y, I'm unsure to come there because of not having one yet, even though I did visit to know what's on these leaks.

Well, it's active, however, I was having trouble when signing in the battle server for some reason, even though if I'm lucky I can get through. And I heard that other users experienced it too, so I think that's not just me.

I only go on the battle server occasionally, and that's because there isn't much chit-chat going on and I stink at holding conversations through chat rooms. XD

To be honest, I haven't really noticed the decrease in activity all that much. The only section I really frequent is the Fan Fiction and Writing section, and that's not exactly the most popular section on here. In case you haven't guessed.

I dunno what the battle server is at all since I never got out of my own little spaces here, but I assume it's pokemon related(crazy I know right). I kinda fell out after Platinum tbh, I couldn't even get all 16 badges in HG.

Oh god that reminds me of when I got stabbed in the hand by a pencil as a kid. Since I was told to not take the graphite out, it stayed in my hand to this day. I can't see the grey mark anymore ;_;
