Ugh I am worse with eye contact. And I'm going out with someone later today...I'm always looking away when I have a conversation with someone and it just makes them think I'm ignoring them, when really I'm not. xD

I hate that about myself and it's something I should work on.

Its my fail safe method to get a girls attention, staring at them. I somehow have eye contact as a second nature, and my personality type apparently gels really well with the talkative bit afterwards.

I'm horrible at keeping eye contact. It gets awkward for some reason and I tend to look at the ground. Which is even MORE awkward because girls have certain parts that are below their eyes that usually attract looks from males. So then I look back up because I don't want them thinking that's what I was looking at, but when I look up really quickly I just look suspicious.

Yeah I should probably work on my people skills a bit..... Lmfao

Yeah, just have confidence when looking at someone. If they smile, smile back, you're probably never gonna see them again. This works when walking down the street though. I'd recommend doing this when you're stationary after building up the confidence to be able to keep eye contact, cause when stationary it might well lead to a convo...

I've gotten better about it. I used to be just HORRIBLE at it. Even when I was just talking with my friends. I can at least keep eye contact through a conversation with them now. However, I still get a little shifty when talking with people I don't know very well. :P

Keeping constant eye contact during conversation is so grating. Having a conversation with someone is pretty easy for me, but constantly staring at them throughout the whole thing? Ugh! I try to do it often because it's the proper way to have a discussion with someone and it's considered rude if you don't, but it's so hard to keep at it. Like, if someone is talking to me, rather than paying attention to what they're saying I'm thinking about how I need to keep looking at them in the eyes and try not not to turn away.

If its the same sex, no way in hell do I maintain eye contact. Sure I do look them in the eyes every once in a while, but unless they're female, 100% eye contact is a no go. I want to be friendly, not weird.

I find most people don't keep eye contact, even when I try to. It's just the social norm nowadays for a lot of people.

It'd be great if people kept eye contact more often, eyes are nice.

I'm afraid though, that's the big thing. I guess it's irrational and it would help a lot if the other person explicitly told me they was okay with it. But who does that anyways haha

Ooooooh, eye contact, huh? I'm actually really... stupid when it comes to that. Not dumb stupid, more like clown stupid. I actually have zero issues looking people in the eye, regardless if I know them or not, so long s we're communicating. If this is some random stranger whom happens to make eye contact with me, I'll just smile at them, and then look away. It's only when I'm with friends or with my girlfriend, and I'm attempting to liven up the mood where I get all weird with the people around me. I'll legit look at some random dude and give him a mischievous wink before looking away and attempting not to die of laughter. Thank god New York City is huge, I'd hate to run into any of those strangers ever again.

I would like to, but it's something I'm afraid of. I'd be a lot happier if the person next to me told me it was something they're okay with. But who'd do that anyways haha
