I said in Skype chat, but I'll say it again. Sorry Orph, I only meant it as harmless banter and I'm glad we were able to sort things out.

Now then...

I've changed my mind.

It's about time things get serious.[/CENTER]

We've gone over the evidence extensively for what we have, but so long as time remains on the day phase clock it's our duty to gain as much info as we can so that the killers can be stopped. So I won't be leaving things up to chance just yet. In fact there are still plenty of options here for us to explore. So I'll start off by looking into our current replacement lead.

Bacteriophage, for now I'll be going over his witness testimony regarding his suspicions which he listed earlier in the thread. During which I will attempt to find flaws or truths within his argument.

Alright, so after reviewing my posts, it's ultimately occurred to me that I have not been taking this game seriously, so from now on, I'll be more dedicated. Obviously you people think I'm scum, and hopefully I can prove to you that I am not in this post.

So first off, why did I pick Klippy? At the beginning of the game, I was taking things too carelessly. I saw a bandwagon, and I jumped on it without thinking. No malicious intent there, right? But why didn't I get my vote off Klippy after he claimed, you may ask.

The fact is that I didn't bother. Everyone else already changed their vote, and I had no wish to vote for someone else. I alone would not cause Klippy's lynch. It was a safe resting place to assure I had no influence for the rest of the day.

You say that you alone could not cause Klippy's lynch and that you jumped on a bandwagon carelessly, yet you were the THIRD person to vote for Klippy AFTER Absol and Gio. The Klippy situation wasn't even a bandwagon until you added your support to it as well. I highly doubt you weren't reading the thread WHATSOEVER and as such you should have realized this. One vote is random if claimed to be, two makes it a little bit suss.... but three makes problems, three starts bandwagons. As such, iff anything this is what truly started the bandwagon as Nimsy in her next post stated that she would "bandwagon it up" inferring that prior to that point the bandwagon had in fact gotten started.

So either you really were just not reading anything (which in itself is a pretty bad sign)... or you voted for Klippy with intent... either because you were joining to start the bandwagon for definite to progress the game or protect yourself, or for other more malicious circumstances.

Your lack of changing said vote after the reveal? Perhaps a safe/lazy play. Perhaps a means of subtly avoiding the idea of putting Gio in further danger. At this point, we can't take your word for it... but it's worth noting that not once did you even subtly question Gio or agree with those who did.

Here are the following people that voted for Klippy:

Absol used Bite!
Voted for klippy. I don't find this particularly suspicious, as it was day 1 and she was just randomvoting, but was she really just randomvoting? Gio7sm was the second to vote for Klippy, and he was mafia.

Not to mention that Gio7sm and Absol used Bite jumped to Jupiter as soon as Klippy role revealed. Was this their job? To make him reveal and quickly jump like nothing ever happened?

Gio7sm
Gio was second to vote for Klippy. He was later revealed to be an idealist. Is it possible that he was working with Absol?

I find it funny that you would accuse Absol of being suspicious because she random voted. Especially since mere sentences before this you claimed that you joined forces with her immediately. You claim that the bandwagon had already started when if you look again you'll see that it was your influence that started the bandwagon proper. But you may be aware of all of this already.

While the idea that Gio and Absol were working together was an interesting one... I am also trusting the prosecution, Seth, to have a sort of definite answer for us on the morrow as to the allegiance of the latter. As such I have even less reason to arrest her than before, my previous evidence notwithstanding on the matter as I have faith that soon enough Edgeworth will solve this issue on his own merit.

I already stated my reasons for voting Klippy. I saw a bandwagon starting, and I was careless. I can see how this clearly appears malicious, but all I can do is give you my word. Whether you believe me or not is up to you.

The defense would like to draw attention to a post made by the defendant at an earlier time to this testimony. As follows:

Apologies for keeping my vote on Klippy, but I literally forgot about this game after voting for him, which was honestly just a random day 1 lynch. I would've changed it if I remembered I was in this one.

I'm still kind of confused regarding what's going on, but I'm glad that no one died tonight.

To those of you do not see the contradiction, allow me to point it out to you.

The defendant at first claimed to have voted for Klippy as a random day 1 lynch. However upon being further suspected he changed his story to say that he was instead joining a bandwagon... his ally Gio being already dead, Bac would have no trouble using Gio and Absol as an excuse not only to save himself... but to earn another kill for his cause in Absol's death, were he an idealist.

Either way, such an accusation is conjecture. The fact remains however that Bac here has changed his story once already to something that better suits his situation.

Nimsy didn't talk much. She's acted kind of strange, and I'll be keeping an eye on her, but that's about it.

Twiggy
Same as Nimsy.

We're all rather strange around here... but as to her voting, whether she has malicious intent or not, she was the first person to really "jump on the bandwagon" that you had finalized. While I agree that she should be watched I also have to make the point that she is the least of our concerns at this present moment and that further investigation will be of more use to us tomorrow.

As for Twiggy, I will do the same. For right now I have no real comments to make.

I will also be passing over the witnesses statement on Netto, as it is rather null and void to this situation.

Jupiter
Poor Jupiter. Voted by Ullion because he voted for Klippy for "No reason" as if anyone else who voted for Klippy had a reason. Does this make Ullion suspicious? I'd say so. It makes it worse that both Gio7sm (revealed to be an Idealist) and Absol (my main suspect today) both voted as well. Kiyoshi the Polar Bear ALSO voted for Jupiter, but that's not enough for me to suspect him much at all.

Ullion is suspicious. Why? He chose to vote for Jupiter for jumping on the bandwagon for no reason, when myself and 4 other people did the same. This is a minor suspicion as of now and I will be watching him.

Now here's a question for you... why would you have no suspicions for Kiyoshi voting for Jupiter for no reason...

Especially considering Gio chimed in with a similar vote right after! Isn't this your exact reason for suspecting Absol of working with Gio in the first place?! Why would Kiyoshi get special treatment compared to her?!

You could say that Kiyoshi is not responsible for starting the Jupiter bandwagon... and that that's why you suspect Ullion instead...

But you've already stated at the beginning of your testimony that without Gio's close proximity to her vote that you wouldn't be able to suspect Absol at all!

Ullion has given a passable reason for his rallying against Jupiter yet you suspect him over Kiyoshi...

A man whom almost fits every exact reason for you to name Absol as your prime suspect!

I see only one reason for this attitude... and that is your desire to protect a fellow member! A fellow idealist!

While the evidence is far less suggestive of Kiyoshi than you... this particular flaw in logic incriminates the both of you further than any other evidence presented for any other player during this day phase.

So for now, while nothing is one hundred percent confirmed just yet. I am inclined to agree with everyone else and...

As for your first three paragraphs. You disprove nothing I have said, you only aim to add more on to your story now that I have disassembled it in order to protect yourself. Your repeating points that you have mentioned before and that I have chosen to disbelieve.

For the record, yes, there is a certain amount of people that make a bandwagon. Going by Nimsy's post in this case is our base conjecture. Two people does not make a bandwagon... nobody in the chat had even mentioned anything about a bandwagon until after you joined. So either you're delusional and quick to call things what they're not... or you have an agenda.

As for being confused, you have no proof of that whatsoever and based on what has been deduced I am not inclined to trust you at this very moment.

The next paragraph. This is precisely the point, you suspect Absol for this and yet Kiyoshi is free from your peering eye? You're not stupid enough to go with the reasons you have presented for the logic you gave. Absol is known for suspicious play and her random voting was quite on point for her. Gio took advantage of the opportunity and perhaps you did exactly the same thing.

Third part.

This is a very poor attempt... you said you made a RANDOM day 1 lynch attempt. At no point did you mention the bandwagon, something so very crucial that you could have used to defend your point at that point in time.

Later on when the questioning became too intense? You fell back on the bandwagon for support. The bandwagon is an influence, it encouraged you to vote for Klippy making YOUR vote not random at all. It is clear to the court that in this earlier post you were referring to your OWN post. Not once do you mention the bandwagon, nor do you even speak of the plurals that would entail of other members. Thus making this point moot.

For the final paragraph.

Ullion gave the reason for Jupiters vote as Jupiter randomly voting for Klippy during the first voting period. Not the best excuse sure, but yours is no better. Upon giving a further excuse you quickly changed your tone. This does not benefit your case any more.

Due to my evidence to defend Absol from before, I would have to disagree with your claim that Absol is more suspicious than Kiyoshi. She joined the bandwagon for Jupiter mid way through, which makes the level of suspicion less for said voting.

As for her original vote, the only real point of evidence... it was a random vote against Klippy followed by Gio's which you claim to be suspicious.

As for Kiyoshi's only proof. It was a random vote against Jupiter followed by Gio's which you claim has no reason for investigation.

It doesn't matter what backwards methods you try to avoid that situation. Innocent or no, you have presented no truly valid reason for this flaw in your logic and as such it not only puts you under suspicion... but Kiyoshi as well, as the only reason you would protect another member so diligently was if you were on the same side... and the only way you could know that is if you were both idealists.

I admit. The evidence is concrete, but the case it makes is not. I have found reason not to trust you, but I do not rule out your innocence entirely. For now however, my vote is unchanged. You have not given me sufficient reason to change my mind, you have only scrounged for more insignificant detail to make your story more believable.

I am sorry Bac, if this is all due to your original negligence and an unfortunate slip up in your early choices. But I must do what I believe to be right.

I never once supported Bac. I was always ambiguous to his nature entirely. I never once said "he's good" or "he's bad" specifically. Not even in the cross examination did I say that I 100% believed in his guilt.

Obviously not going to change my vote here, but I just want to share a thought:

Some of the people here have pointed towards Absol being Arayoshi but Bac on the other hand seems intent on having us lynch her. Is it possible that Bac is Higuchi and wants Absol lynched? This would win him the game if this were the case.

It is the defense's job to cross-examine but I will help in any way I can. Finding the truth is my job, after all.

As I said before, I saw a bandwagon starting. I wasn't jumping on a full blown bandwagon, no, but you cannot deny a bandwagon was starting. There is no set number that a bandwagon becomes a bandwagon. In my opinion, just two votes is enough to start one. I have ALSO stated before that my jumping on the bandwagon was complete scum, and all I can do is give you my word. I know this may not be convincing, but hopefully the other points I make will compensate.

This is the definition of a bandwagon from MafiaWiki:

A bandwagon (or just wagon) is a group of votes on a player. For example, if A, B, and C are all voting for D, then D's wagon is comprised of A, B, and C. No objections here. There isn't a specific number, so I'm afraid the witness (is he even...a witness?) is correct. However, its example states that 3 players (A,B and C are voting for D). It says that it may force the players to roleclaim, which is what happened on D1 with Absol.

But, there WAS nothing for me to read. All people were doing was randomly voting. It is in my nature to be careless during the beginning of a game, and become increasingly serious as the game goes on. I saw two people voting for Klippy, and being only day 1, I decided to vote with them. Why? Because it was completely random, that's why. I had no particular reason for doing it. It is difficult on day 1 to choose who to vote for when you have nothing to go on. It made sense to me to choose someone other people were voting for.

In Day 1 the witness said and I quote:


"Ok if we're randomvoting [ARREST] Klippy"


The witness is right. It did seem like he wasn't reading anything at all, just...randomvoting.

As I've said before, I was confused during the first day. After voting for Klippy and realizing my mistake, I did not choose to change my vote. Why would I vote if I didn't know what was going on? That would not be a good idea, so I stayed on Klippy. It was the safest place for me to stay. I didn't want to make ANOTHER mistake. Absol and Gio7sm, on the other hand, quickly changed to another bandwagon starting, one after the other. If I was mafia, don't you think I too would've changed my vote? Perhaps not as hastily as they did, but don't you think I would've? No. I made the decision to remain absent for the rest of the day so that I did not cause any more problems. Is that the sign of an idealist? I think not, but choose to interpret it in your own way.

Hmph. You claim you didn't want to make another mistake because you voted for Klippy.

What was suspicious is that Gio7sm, a confirmed idealist ALSO voted Klippy right after her. And yes, so did I (a big mistake, clearly). My influence perpetuated the bandwagon, but Absol (my main suspect) and Gio (a confirmed idealist) both voted for Klippy BEFORE I did. Were there more idealists mixed in there? I can't say

A random vote is:

Completely random. No hopping in bandwagons or anything.

Although I do believe this was a mistake in the witness' part.

I do not believe Absol is the Scapegoat at all.

If you would look back...Absol seemed to not want to be lynched at all. If you were Arayoshi, I bet you would want to be lynched immediately, because you are some kind of Jester are you not?! If Absol was this "Jester" then why did she hire a lawyer to defend her? In fact why did she even defend herself? She even liked Deceptio's post 3 times.

So for starters, something I was told in Beginner's mafia: Don't rely on "likes" as a form of evidence.

Also, going by this niche win condition - as Arayoshi I would want to stay alive as long as possible as well. Imagine being lynched now? You'd have to wait like, 5-6 day phases at a minimum (assuming NO yotsuba members die) for Higuchi to kill you to win.

Which brings me to the other point, lynching Arayoshi now is a reasonable option but does put every other player in this game on a timer and under more pressure to make the right choices. And this isn't even taking into consideration we still have the Idealists to look after. :/

One last point Seth: " Hatori wins the game by getting himself captured during the Day Phase, and then being killed by Higuchi." - from OP
Meaning that lynching Arayoshi does help them win, because Higuchi can still win by killing Arayoshi with the Death Note after reaching 8 Yotsuba members.

Ok so I'm going to lie, this was an utter drag to haul myself through. Not that I resent that you're playing the game properly oh hell no. I'm just inebriated and am very late to this party. It's more the shame of not already being here that makes it so tedious.

The second thing I want to say is that you people just do not seem to know how to center your text properly. I'm seeing broken codes and inconsistent text alignments everywhere. Jesus christ it's not very neat.

Lastly. What the actual fuck have I left to say on this matter? It seems like any and every point this far has been exhausted, sucked dry and the had its bones nibbled upon for good measure. Like dayum. I simply have nothing to pick up on to add my input to this. For those wondering where my opinion currently sides, it is actually currently on the side of Bacteriophage. I haven't looked at the current vote standings as I do not wish for them to sway my vote. As such, I vote to

Night Three​

L watched as the events of the day unfolded. This newcomer was . . . interesting. Surely Kira had taken note of him as well. His arrival was certainly making waves, and perhaps it would spur the regular citizens into action.

As it was, people were beginning to notice the individual that they'd taken in for questioning. L wasn't yet sure if that was a good thing, as the task force had not yet been given the opportunity to question them. As far as he knew, this person could be aligned with himself, Kira, or someone else entirely.

He also took note of another that civilians had placed their focus on. It was certainly odd for the general public to be this concerned about an investigation, and of course L had next to zero faith in the "logic" that they used to justify their reasoning. Most of them were panicked, placing their faith in the wrong people, or just plain unintelligent.

In the end, the general public had no sway on L's own decisions, and L was the one leading this investigation. He'd already drawn Kira out, began to figure out how he killed, and had caused him to slip up.

And somehow that brought L to his prime suspect.

Light Yagami.

The son of Soichiro Yagami. He was incredibly intelligent, and L had been keeping an eye on him. He felt that now was the time to become a bit more direct. Light was currently attending university.

L was going back to school, it seemed.​

Absol used Bite! has been apprehended. She was one of the Populace.​

He threw the suitcase into the passenger seat. How was he supposed to talk to anyone like this? He turned the key, started the car and pulled out onto the street with a screech.

There were apples in his car now. There were apples in his car now.

Ryuk laughed from the back seat, but the man couldn't hear it. He glimpsed in the rear view mirror, but he couldn't see the Shinigami either.

Still, he could feel that something was off.

He was in the middle of traffic now. He was driving too fast, but he didn't notice. He was too focused on the apples that were appearing in his car.

"WHAT THE HELL IS WITH ALL THESE APPLES?" he yelled, briefly losing control of the wheel.

That was what sealed his fate.

The car veered to the side, crossing over the yellow lines of the road. The man grabbed the wheel and pulled it to the side, but he slammed into an oncoming car before he could do anything.

He died on impact.

It was the middle of the night.

Misa picked up her phone as she watched the men conversing. It was the one in the middle, right?

There was a click and suddenly Light was speaking on the other end of the line.

"Yep, I got his name. No objections this time," she said, giggling.

The three men were still talking. Something about the "mysterious L." Didn't sound too interesting to Misa, but they all seemed pretty hyped for Kira to be met with "justice."

Misa was tempted to kill them all right there. No one talked about her boyfriend like that! But she knew Light had other plans, so she held herself back.

On the other end of the phone, she could hear Light's dad talking about the same man, as well as the one that Light had tried to kill before. Still going on about him, she thought.

Across town, a citizen of "Justice" was rifling through a drawer. The results were . . . normal. The man didn't seem to have an opinion about the case, one way or the other.

And by morning, this gossip would reach L.​

what irks me is the apples... i feel like its a big hint since it is said over and over again... coupled by the last day phase post before this,

Light sat by a fountain, contemplating his newest kill. He thought it was probably a bit too theatrical, but perhaps that would help keep L off of his scent. It wasn't really Light's style, after all.

He watched as, across the street, a man took a sip of his wine. He briefly heard another person praising Kira, with someone else responding in disbelief. He couldn't help but crack a slight smile. Things were going rather smoothly.

The man he was watching began to choke on his wine. He clutched at his throat with one hand, grasping the wine glass in the other. As his complexion began to turn a slight blue from the oxygen deprivation, he smashed the wine glass against a table and used one of its shards to slit his left wrist. He proceeded to write the words "For Teru" on the restaurant's wall in his own blood.

Light was correct. It was a bit too theatrical, but it was interesting. He turned his head as Misa walked over to him.

I really have a huge feeling Mana is an Idealist. Remember gio7sm is Teru Mikami. Another Theater hint, and Mana's hate towards gio7sm? It's too much of a coincidence...
