Semifinals Results


The results of the semifinals are in! Unfortunately that does mean we have to let go of our last 2 DJs of the event:

- gimmepie

And now we're onto the GRAND FINALS! Finalists you have been contacted - please submit a playlist containing 5 songs of your choice from any that you have submitted throughout this event! Voting will then start at 23:00 UTC+1 Thursday 25th July and end at 00:00 UTC+1 Sunday 28th July. We will also be playing these lists in our QueUp room during our normal session on Friday.

Format is still the same - forms and playlists will be provided below! Once again, I will remind you that you can vote even if you have not voted before and even if you were in the tournament! Voting in this round will get your team 5 Points!

If there are any issues (highly likely), questions etc then just contact me!

 

GRAND FINALS

The finalists have picked their setlists and the order in which they are being played. Voting will be open until Sunday, 28 July 2024 00:00 UTC+1 (to clarify, that should be the BEGINNING of Sunday but please let me know if it's not saying that, I am not very good at this lol). A reminder that EVERYONE other than the two finalists can vote, and that in this round, voting gets you 5 points for your team!

We will be showcasing these playlists in our QueUp session as well - starting at 22:00 UTC+1 Friday 26th July! Upvotes there won't count, so make sure to still use the voting form please!

Otherwise, good luck to you finalists, I hope everyone has had fun taking part in the event, I have had a great time hosting it!

GRAND FINALS RESULTS

I have tallied the votes together and can reveal that our first PokéCommunity DJ Battle champion is none other than.......

Team Aqua's Starlight!!!!

With the lead shifting between the two finalists, it was Starlight's last round that clutched it for her, with The Weeknd's Blinding Lights earning a whopping 15 of the 23 votes. That does mean however we do have to say goodbye to one more DJ... give it up please everyone for the valiant Tsutarja of Team Aqua!!!! You put in a glorious effort throughout my friend, but unfortunately fell at the last hurdle.

And with the highest % of votes in their semifinal match, the Bronze Medal goes to none other than Apro of Magma! Well done but personally I am glad you did not go any further (as you were the one that knocked me out lol).

That means 50 Points to Aqua and 10 Points to Magma for placements. DJ participation was 11 Magmas and 9 Aquas, so 110/90 points respectively.

Voting numbers in the final were 11 Magmas and 12 Aquas. Close! That's another 55 Magma points and 60 Aqua points.

So altogether, we've got 200 Points for Aqua and 175 Points for Magma!

I am putting together all the information as we speak, so will try to get that to everyone some point Sunday for you take a look at the brackets, standings, song choices and much more!

Thank you everyone for taking part and I hope you have enjoyed the event! I apologise for the many changes etc. made throughout, this has been somewhat hastily converted from another format of the idea I had, but I am glad it seems to have generally turned out OK!

Thank you for hosting such a great event, and thank you everyone for submitting so many incredible songs! It's been really fun seeing what was up for each battle, and I can't wait to find out how it all went down in the end. Congratulations to Zach and Apro, I hope you both had as much fun with this as I did ❤️
