Pretty simple;

Do post counts really matter to you?

--

To me, it's only if they make a cool number like 666, 1337 and so on. Otherwise, they're pointless.

Kinda yeah, they mark your loyalty to the forums. But I'm not too bothered about them ;)

To me, yes, cause i think it makes you look popular. XD

That sounds ridiculously shallow to me. How is a number going to show what sort of person you are? Why would you want to be judged by your number of posts instead of the quality of them?

Yeah. I guess it's pretty obvious that I don't care about post count.

Personally? no.

I mean if someone has like 3 posts..but been here for 3 years...It's probably because they're in OT or Wi-Fi all the time...

It doesn't really matter.

Because popularity on the internet is so freakin' awesome. :D;;

[/sarcasm]

Yeah, post counts only matter to be when I get special numbers. :x I stopped posting in forums where post count counts when I had 777. XD;

But either than that, 'tis just a number that grows larger. :o

Sometimes i usually set myself a target (which seems pretty sad) :(
But i do usually check up on how much i'm posting...

Only if it's awesome numbers. I missed my 444, but I'll catch 555.

Take a look at my post count, and then turn your eyes to my join date.

Not at all. Quality is the best in a post. ;D

...But really, I do know some people who are obsessed with postcount, in a forum where you get rank ups for getting your postcount up. *cough*

Yep, I like having a big amount of posts, I don't like small number like 36 or something. I like to go into my profile and see a big number like 300 or something but i've only got about 180. There is no huge explanation, I just like a big post count. :)

Oh yes. As mentioned it states your loyalty to the forums. Or just how much free time y0ou have. But on a whole not that much. You could post everywhere randomly and a lot(like me) having them short and sweet or you could have 500 posts be here for 4 years but your posts are long and thought out.

Sort of, but not to the point where I absolutely must post in the sections that give you post count +1. A good number of my posts are in the OT section, actually. Post counts are really the only way to show you're dedicated to the community, other than donating or having an early join date.

Munna will destroy you for that. xD

Only when it's cool numbers. I take screenshots of people who have 666 posts XD So far I only have 2 though...oh well.

It used to matter a lot more to me...but after hanging around here for a while I've discovered that the golden phrase "quality not quantity" is very true. Post count doesn't tell you much about someone besides how much time they spent here. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter much =/

Not as a way to judge someone, no, though it tells you a bit about the person themselves. If they have a postcount of 250 and have been here for two or three years, either they tend to write very long posts, or spend a lot of time in either Pokemon Trivia or Other Trivia. I mean, people with larger postcounts seem more intimidating to me and such, but yeah, it tends to accumulate over time anyways.

I used to care.
But now I'm on 2000 it doesn't matter to me anymore really.
So OT is the way to go.
