5th Gen Do you have a dream?

"Many different values mix together, and the world becomes gray... That is unforgivable! I will separate Pokémon and people, and black and white will be clearly distinct! Only then will Pokémon become perfect beings! Yes, that is my dream! That is the dream I must fulfill! <player>, do you have a dream of your own?" -N

In the Black and White games, before the Chargestone cave battle, you are given a choice to respond yes or no to the question above. It doesn't change the story events, as usual, but N will react to you differently depending on how you answer, and his words of encouragement at the end of the main story will also alter based on your answer.

Do you remember how you replied? Yes, you had a dream, or no you didn't. I said no, and watched him get frustrated with me.

I answered yes, I remember him right before he took off after losing at pkmn league say something like. "Remember when you told me you had a dream? Go make that dream come true". I am paraphrasing hard but that's the message of what he's saying

I don't even remember this dialogue tbh.... I don't have the foggiest what I answered 😅

I almost always say yes to this question. Virtually every one of my characters dreams of something worth saying "yes" to this question for, even if it's a personal goal rather than some great change in the world.

Interestingly enough, I said no in my most recent playthrough. The character I was playing already had everything he wanted and didn't want much of anything different. I was RPing him as a defender of the status quo against N's revolutionary change and idealism. Naturally, this was one of the rare times where I was playing Pokemon Black instead of White, so N got Zekrom. (I didn't use Reshiram.)
