I'm pretty sure I asked this once before, but I also feel like the last topic is lost and old. 8D So, refresh time!

Do you keep a journal? If you do, how do you usually feel after you write? How does it help you with your thoughts and/or mental health issues? Do you keep it private from the likes of others?
    If no, why not?

I recently got a journal called Hero's Journal, and it's kept me pretty active in getting stuff done. <3 It's very much a guided journal, and it's worth googling! :D I really like this one because it's simple, and there's also different ones with different stories. The one I got is based somewhat on a fantasy adventure, and I love it because I'm a fantasy nut. <3

Here's an example of one of my most recent entries:

    Spoiler: BIG IMAGE WARNING~

I've actually updated it since then with new things btw... but yeah. This is mostly just giving an idea. :D

It was probably two years ago when I started writing a journal. Nothing fancy, it was just a college ruled composition book, 1 page per day. I add a quote of the day at the top of the page- something that someone said during the day, something I heard in a video/song, random meme line, etc. I kept up with it for about 9 months before I got tired of it. Last month, I was reading through the old journals and wanted to try to continue journaling. It's still a bit of a hassle, but it helps to wind down my day.

I'm bad keeping at journals,, to be honest the longest journal writing streak I've ever did is probably 5 months? I think that's good! I get my journals from my parents but I usually just get off track or draw on it instead XD. It does sometimes help me with my thoughts but I just suddenly get lazy or write one sentence. I definitely try to private it from each others but I do let them see the drawings I placed there.

I used to keep a journal for each year of high school. I would always write about my days, and how Brad was cute during PE, and how my chemistry teacher was the worst human being in the world. Yeah, it was that cringe.

PC used to have blogs, and that would count as my journal I guess lol

I probably tried at some point, but no, once the internet existed, I'd keep blogs in various places. But, for the most part, I don't. I just scream and vent into a void.

No, I used to but I have trouble keeping it going. I like to write some pages at times, mostly to like to write what had happened lately. I used to keep an everyday journal, but i'm honestly not good at keeping things going. Other than that, sometimes I feel like writing thins down helps me process them, but most of the times, I just don't wanna recall the bad events, and memories, so not writing becomes my best choice.

I've tried starting both physical and digital journals a few times, but I always struggled to write in them everyday and ended up dropping all of them after a few months at the most. These days, I maintain a blog under a pseudonym for similar purposes, which I've found a lot more fun since I don't have to write every day and it helps with my CSS / HTML skills.
