Dying in your sleep

I guess either by dying in my sleep, or some sort of injection. I don't mind either.

Really, dying in my sleep is the best way to go for me. I don't mind if I were to go this very night in my sleep; I'm not afraid of dying. The only thing about dying I'm afraid of is the process of it. Dying is most of the time usually associated with pain and suffering, and while one is asleep, one usually cannot feel bodily pain, and the only suffering that happens happen within your dreams. Slipping away without knowing sounds very peaceful and painless. As for my death not meaning anything, I know that as long as I have given my best to the world, I can die without regret.

Have to agree; dying in your sleep would be the best way to go. You won't be experiencing any pain (well, you might, but I'm not sure), and no-one would be seeing you die with their bare eyes either, which is a plus. This is how my grandfather died—he died in his sleep; he drank a few glasses of beer one night, and couldn't wake up the next morning.

Another death related topic, great.

Optimally I'd want to die at old age. If you maintain good health, you can be old and healthy at the same time.

I wouldn't mind living to the age of 120, as long as they had robot bodies your mind could somehow be transferred into. :P But I want to live long so I can watch my children and grandchildren and possibly great grandchildren grow. :3

And Synergee, I liked that post before I really read it. I am afraid to die, but not afraid to say it. I want to live a full, happy life and maybe die in my sleep. I think it would be peaceful. Like falling asleep, but just never waking up... You wouldn't know thing.

Worst way to die. It rather terrifies me to be unaware of my own passing; there is a 'lack of control' element in that. I would wish to be able to accept and welcome my fate under full awareness, so perhaps to be at peace with the universe before it is undone in me.

I would like to die sleeping but when i am old not young.
It's the best way to die no pain.
Best way is sleeping but second best - I would like die saving someone or something like that.

I'd like to see it coming, koff~

Something where I'm up on my feet trying to help someone. I've always wanted to go out in a blaze of glory. Never did I once think of dying asleep or of old age. I'm squeamish of Alzheimer's and I remember my grandfather having no clue who anyone in the room was when he was on meds ( not Alzheimer's). So no, growing to be so old where it hurts to live is not my deal. If you ever see the news where some 80 year old man tried robbing a bank (just to see if he could) that's probably me, koffi~

If I've lived a long life and my family are with me when I pass at an old age in my sleep, then I'm fine with it. It seems like it would be the most painless for me.

Ideally not at all, if that ever becomes an option. But I suppose whichever way is the least painful would be the best if my life had to come to an end.

I hate to sound silly, but dying in my sleep just sounds so boring. I'd prefer to die doing something that I love, and something that at least wouldn't make me another statistic. I guess I just want my last moments to be terrifying and exhilarating at the same time.

Skiing to the bottom of a mountain and seeing the avalanche heading straight for me, for example.

Yeah, I'm crazy.

I want to die high on morphine. **** awareness.

You remind me of a morphling. Are you a morphling? >_>

Skiing to the bottom of a mountain and seeing the avalanche heading straight for me, for example.

Yeah, I'm crazy.

That would be quite the ride, wouldn't it? Though, if you weren't completely crushed by the avalanche and instead had to lie under the rubble for days freezing...
