Dagzar has a banner? I can't see it.

Pics or it didn't happen.
Even though it's an old response to this sort of thing, this is hilarious in this context.

I can't see your banner either, Dagzar. I thought it was because I had Adblock, and had blocked certain blinking images from other people's Photobucket or from Imageshack, but I didn't think I had blocked yours. So it should show up for me even with Adblock.

Even turning Adblock off doesn't fix the problem.

Can't be my current computer either. It didn't show up on my old laptop either.

I was trying to controll the situation XD :P

In other news I can't find that song in the trailer of 2012 aside from the original mix. Wendy Carlos Bloody elevator, something rather, it's an awesome remix, to a film that is just made for destructions... I won't be seeing it in theatres...

Oh, so you guys can't see Dagzar's banner either. I thought it was just me.

2012 the movie. I will hopefully be able to catch it in November.
Speaking of which, has anyone seen the trailer for Seeking Closure. Now there's a movie that really makes you think...

And on that morbid note,
How many of you actually believe in the 2012 Doomsday Theory and are preparing for it?

It's finally happened. Even our bold topics are insane. XD

To answer your question, no. :P

Lulz, that's true. I was inspired to ask this because of those two movies.

How many of you actually believe in the 2012 Doomsday Theory and are preparing for it?

I'm beyond no, I'd so much as stab Roland Emerich or whoever was responsible in coming up with the idea of the movie and stabbing them in the face.

I meant that for the original idea too. The people making media related to 2012 are more than likely not believers of it (heck they probably care less, but in public, might vehemently believe it, and when the specific date rolls around, and they are shown to be wrong, well people will ridicule them. However those who said it was true, are probably laughing at them, because they got rich off of the scheme anyway.

Of course. Panic makes for high demand. And for those who aren't panicked by it, it's an effortless plot skeleton. :P

Heck no! People were obsessing about doomsday back in 1999, and we're still here. People have, most likely, obsessed about doomsdays and apocalypses as long as they've been able to grasp such an idea. In my opinion, you can believe it and even obsess about it as long as you don't hurt anyone else with your actions... I mean, building a secret base in your basement just in case a nuclear winter should come upon us is okay to me, but please don't go to the center of your city and give out fliers about the impending destruction. It might really get to some people.

Besides, the Mayas never said the world was going to end. Their current Long Count just ends on the 20th of December 2012, just to let the fourteenth Long Count begin on the next day. Whatever doomsday predictions there are associated with the day have pretty much nothing to do with anything... And, if the stars align or something like that (I haven't actually looked into this doomsday thing a lot, but I do know something about Mayas and Incas), it's only an indication of the amazing astronomy skills of the ancient Mesoamerican cultures. They really knew what they were doing, but they never predicted the world would end.

Oh, and then... *waves her hand in the air* I also see no banners, Dagzar! I see no dead banners nor any empty spaces. It's like there never was a banner.

Xanthine! *waves again* I missed you! =D

And Feign: I remember you, too, but I didn't realize I was gone long enough to actually say something like that xD It didn't feel like a long time at all!

Ohai An-chan. I did see you around occasionally, but I've only really become active recently.

No way. No ****ing way. I just noticed an ad down the bottom of the page, and guess what it says?

'December 21, 2012. Click here.' And there's a picture of a large asteroid headed straight for Earth, and a link to someplace called 2012-comet.com. That is freaky ****, man. *crosses self* If that ain't a sign, I don't know what is!

It's not a sign.

Google ads are content-targeted - that is, they'll pick up words on the page and select an ad that matches the words. :P

My sentiments exactly.

Really, is that so. For the past few weeks these ads have been pestering me to buy an Apple TV Supercharger and to take my MBA at Raffles Place, Singapore. I guess it depends on location too unless I'm missing something.

Oh and when 2012 comes. On December 21st I'll be selling T-Shirts with the captions:

'2012 came and went and all I got was this lousy T-Shirt'
'What Comet?'
'We postponed the Olympics for This?'

Pre-Order before it's too late!

Lulz... :P

Lol, it'd be funny if only the specific religions that believe the world is coming to an end would face the disaster.

The world is facing a crisis... Hurricanes and thunderstorms are raging everywhere; the ground is shaking, destroying all buildings; volcanoes erupt time after time, covering their surroundings with red lava. Suddenly, it calms down and a light descends from the raging coulds. A divine voice is heard from from the light:

"Okay, let's see... You guys all believed in this, so you die. As for the rest of you... Well, sorry about all of this! Take care!"

And the rest of the folks lived happily ever after.

The end

It wouldn't make for a very good movie, at least... xD

I don't know, I find these apocalypse manias incredibly futile. Even if the world did end when they say, there's nothing we could ever do to stop it. So, in any case it's just better to lay back and not stress about it... I don't want to spend three years - the last three years of my life - panicing about the end of the world. At least that's what I think!

Lol, if only. The world will end at the time we least suspect it.

[Dec 21st, 2012]
Person A:Aaaah the end is nigh!
Person B:No it's not, those doomsayers were wrong.
Person A:Get them!

[Dec 22nd, 2012]
Person A:That was lame.
Person B:OMG, they were right but off by one day(points to sky)
