Farigiraf appreciation thread

Honestly, this Mon deserves an appreciation thread all to itself. I believe it's one of the damned best designed cross-generational evolutions.

I mean, most Fakemon designers so far had Girafarig's potential evolution become a creepy Siamese twin giraffe or worse, have the back head become the main one. Nothing wrong with that, but it seemed a bit too edgy for my liking. Here, though, the designer had a clever idea; the back head becomes a hoodie of sorts which powers up the giraffe-like head! It's adorable. It reminds me of those Pikachu plushies wearing hoods resembling other Mons, except Farigiraf is doing that with itself.

Whoever designed this Mon deserves to have a bigger part in making more cross-gen evolutions and regional variants, because they nail exactly what the essence of new Pokémon should be - the unexpected and yet strangely clever.

From what I saw in the trailer, Farigiraf definitely has some good abilities. Its ability Cud Chew, which allows it to eat the same berry twice, is always useful in a pinch. Its other ability, Armor Tail, is useful for blocking those aggravating priority moves, which is always a good thing. It also has a pretty good typing too. Normal/Psychic, despite not doing that much super-effective damage to many types, is a type-combination that works surprisingly well together. Normal-type protects the Psychic-type from Ghost-type attacks and the Psychic-type neutralizes its Fighting-type weakness. It is also only resisted by Steel-type too. Defensively, it only has to worry about Dark and Bug-types. I am just curious about a possible hidden ability or the possible convoluted evolution method it might has. Nevertheless, I definitely plan on putting one on at least one of my battle teams. I also like the name too. It's another palindrome, just like Girafarig.

Improved it over the original design. Ranks up among one of the better reveals so far.

Doubts anything too complex. Showed Girafarig evolving after crushing a random Venonat with Psybeam. Also caught Farigiraf's level in the Tera Raid Battle: 33. Seems reasonable. Cannot rule out methods like hold items or taking X damage, of course.

(Also: 122 hitpoints for Farigiraf. Other allies: 142 hitpoint Drifblim and level 30 Sableye with 70 hitpoints. Suggests 0 IVs and 0 EVs for Hitpoints on Sableye. May be similar for others. Means base 120 hitpoints for Farigiraf, if so.)

    Yes to this precious boi!!

A badass Chain Chomp inspired hood, casually implied auto cannibalism, a palindrome name, and a connection to Spanish paleontology? Yes ma'am mmhmm this one is fun and sign me up!

Also definitely hoping that inside Farigiraf's actual mouth is yet another Chain Chomp à la the Alien franchise lol.
