Favorite Pok?mon Tournament 2015 - Ice

Articunois my favorite ice type just look at it look at beautiful it is. I've loved it since I first saw and and then I loved it more after Pokemon 2000 fight me. I also voted for Glaceon because I also really like its design.

These were the Pokemon I found "cool" (no pun intended).

Dewgong: It may not be the best, but I love its beautiful looks anyway.

Smoochum line: I don't let controversy get in the way here, Jynx is still a powerhouse and Smoochum is super-adorable as well. Oh, and unique type combinations ftw

Lapras: Another old fave, a strong tank and it loves taking you for a ride.

Articuno: My fave of the legendary birds, but that's mainly due to it being my fave colour.

Swinub line: Two strong types, and definitely becomes something that's strong. Gotta love those hairy pig-mammoth things.

Snorunt line: Hoenn had some good Ice-types, and this one is very unique in terms of their designs. Froslass is so beautiful while Glalie has a Mega, so both evolutions are cool.

Spheal line: I know two certain ROM Hacking mods who love this line to death. And I don't blame them, Spheal and Sealeo have cuteness while Walrein is a beast in hail with its stall tactics.

Snover line: More unique type combinations! I find Snover adorable, but Abomasnow is definitely a fearsome snow monster, complete with his own Mega as well.

Glaceon: One of my fave Eeveelutions, and while it's moves are shallow it does at least look very beautiful.

And I voted for all the 5th and 6th Gen options as well. Those generations had some unique and fresh designs, oh and Vanillite is not something that deserves hate. I love that cute ice cream, and the cute and badass bears, and that icy dragon and fossil too.

Delibird and the Amaura line, for me.

The Amaura line for their looks - not only because they're based on dinosaurs and I'm a sucker for some types of dinosaurs (which the one they're based on is definitely one of them), but also because of the whole "aurora" theme they have going for them. I dunno, they're just neat.

And then while there's some nostalgia I have going on with Delibird, I've also always found it to be cute.

Lapras is way overated well really all water and ice type combos are in my opinion so i went for Amaura and Glaceon

Glaceon is elegant, beautiful, has a cool shiny form, and its a pure ice type, plus its an eevolution which automatically makes it an amazing poke.

Amaura i mean its got a cool type combo and its beautiful also for the same reason Sylphiel said the aura thing is just cool

Glaceon will always be in the top percentage of my ice-love list.

Amaura, Sneasel, Lapras, and Froslass all come in a close second.

My vote goes to Amaura + Aurorus, it's hands down my favorite Ice Pokemon line.
Unfortunately Aurorus never had a chance at being useful, it has the worst type combination imaginable. High HP is useless when every Pokemon knows a move that is super effective against it. Still among my favorite Pokemon designs of all time.

I've always loved Lapras for its looks, especially for being loosely based off a plesiosaur--one of my favourite dinosaurs!

Articuno deserves a vote here, for obvious reasons. :D

Glaceon has always been one of my all-time favourite Pokemon and possibly stands as one of the top three! Her movepool may be pretty shallow but her stats are fair for an eeveelution and her beautiful design is what won me over!

Last but not least, Amaura and Aurorus. I have yet to use this beautiful-looking line, due to their slow speed and many weaknesses. However, I do intend to one day (maybe even in SMD if possible!) for I absolutely love them, particularly Amaura! :)

Snorunt line - I have an attachment to this line for some reason; also I find the backstory behind Froslass to be very interesting, so that's gotta count for something xD

I wanted to single out a Pokemon to vote for, so after eliminating the Ice-types I'm "meh" about (which are a lot, honestly) I ended up having to make a decision between the Weavile or Froslass line.

And... Weavile was a complete no-brainer for me. It carried my team in OR, and I've grown to love its design throughout the years. Weavile's cemented its spot as one of my top favorites :-]

In my opinion, barely any pokemon beats Bergmite in terms of just being amazing. I'm voting for the Bergmite line and the Swinub line, because Swinub's are cool too. If I could vote for Bergmite twice, I'd do so, though.

Dewgong. At one point during my elementary school days, I remember Dewgong being prolific for knowing Sheer Cold. I believe there was a certain one floating around the little network of trades we had going on. I forgot if I ever owned it myself, but I'm pretty sure I had battled it at one point. And boy, it was something to fear.

Lapras. It's just super adorable, and I really liked how you obtain one in XY. I honestly didn't feel like using any Pokémon I had that could help me surf across the Kalosian waters, and most of them were very weak at the time, so that was really helpful.

Articuno, one of my favorite Legendaries (this applies to all of the Gen 1 legendary birbs). All three of the birds are also among my favorites, but I can't pick a favorite amongst that three. They all look awesome, but in their own way. Zapdos' design is extremely cool (no ironic pun intended), while Articuno's exceeds in pure beauty. I'm trying to figure out a word to describe Moltres, and no, I'm not attempting to keep a theme of Contest type names.

Sneasel/Weavile. After seeing the Pokkén reveal trailer for the latter, it instantly became one of my favorite Pokémon. <3 They gave her so much personality in that game.

Regice. I just like the Regis' designs in general.

Glaceon. I absolutely adore all the Eeveelutions, but Glaceon is undoubtedly one of the most adorable ones. <3 Leafeon may be my 2nd favorite Pokémon, favorite "-eon" and favorite Gen IV "-eon" at that, but Glaceon's design strikes me with charm and adorableness that a handful other Pokémon can achieve for me. Along with Leafeon, I believe its design is among the best in Eeveelutions, as well.

Cryogonal, as one was on my team at the time of my first compilation of White version. And it's got a nice design, too.

Amaura, one of the most recent additions to my favorite Pokémon <3 I'm currently playing through Y the first time, and a couple weeks ago when I was at Glittering Cave, I looked up the two fossil Pokémon I could choose from. I had already seen Tyrunt around many times before, but I've rarely seen Amaura. At that moment, I also fell in love with its design that it was an easy pick for me. And now, I'm carrying my little guy with me all the way to the Pokémon League. I love him so much <3

Another week, and another set of polls has concluded here in the Favorite Pokemon Tournament. Thanks to everyone who participated this week!

Even though this poll was for Ice-type Pokemon, it was definitely heated all week! A few Pokemon traded the lead back and forth as the votes came in, but no one was able to keep control for long. In a chilling conclusion, we ended up with a tie, as Snorunt, Glalie, and Froslass as well as Lapras gained 40 votes each. Because of that, all of them will be included in this year's finale, so congrats to them!

AHHHHHH HOW DID I MISS THIS ONE LAPRAS IS MY #1... That said, it's another one that's been a favorite of mine for many years. I don't think I need to explain why. Mamoswine is my second favorite, since I like the prehistoric creature and its huge Attack stat.
