Welcome to the third annual Favorite Pokémon Tournament here in Pokémon General, where our goal is to determine the favorite Pokémon of the users here at the PokéCommunity! This will be a tournament that lasts several months, where we'll pit almost all the Pokémon from different types together to determine a winner. After we know the winner of each type, we'll add all of those Pokémon to a final poll, where the winner(s) will be crowned champion, and be known as PokéCommunity's favorite Pokémon!

If you haven't had the opportunity, please read the Rules/FAQ to find out more about the tournament:​

Spoiler:

• Every week, two new polls will be stickied at the top of Pokémon General. Each thread will include a different elemental type, and the list of Pokémon to vote from.
• You aren't required to pick just one Pokémon- you can vote for as many as you like to ensure your favorites get through. The Pokémon with the most votes at the end of the week will face off against the other winning Pokémon in a final poll to crown the champion!
• In order to preserve space, we've grouped all of the applicable evolutions in a Pokémon family together. Some Pokémon (ex.: the Nidoran families) may be exempt from this rule.
• In the event of a tie at the end of the week, all Pokémon tied for first place will advance to the finale.
  
• Furthermore, members who vote and post for a majority of weeks during the tournament will receive an emblem depicting the winning Pokémon!
• If there are any questions that you need answered, feel free to leave a comment in this thread or send a VM to Brendino to get it sorted out.

NOTE: Because of the limited number of poll spaces, not all eligible Pokémon have been included. If you want to vote for an unlisted Rock-type, check the "Other Pokémon" option represented by a (?), and leave a post with your vote.

Voted for the Rhyhorn, Larvitar, and Shieldon lines. Rhyhorn was one of my favourite Pokemon from the first gen; it was one I always wanted to catch in the Safari Zone (along with Scyther and Pinsir) but could never seem to get my hands on! Rhyperior is also easily the best 4th gen evo of a 1st gen Pokemon in my opinion, it's such a badass design. It was even passably useful for a while in competitive battling!

Larvitar is another one of those Pokemon I've always liked but never really used in-game on my team because of how bloody scarce it is. Tyranitar was one of my favourite 2nd gen Pokemon, so~

As for Shieldon...I LOVE BASTIODON. No more need be said.

Ah yes my least fave type of the bunch, but that's not to say I didn't vote for its Pokemon so here's who I picked.

Omanyte line: Literally the only Kanto Rock-type I ever loved, but I blame the Lord Helix thing hahaha

Aron line: I love the design theme plus it introduced the very sturdy Rock/Steel combination, and face it Aggron is a badass.

Lileep line: Rock/Grass is a unique combination, plus it's tanky and hits hard. I heard great stories of the competitive capabilities but in-game it's just as amazing.

Cranidos line: I love dinosaurs, and it's a hard hitter with a cute unevolved stage.

Tirtouga line: I love my watery fossils, and it's a nice tank both offensively and defensively. Plus I loved good ol' Aquilavus from Marriland's Black Wedlocke. He was one of my fave team members but when he left it was what marked the arrival of a certain pile of trash and that's what made him memorable.

Archen line: One of the few not-so-rocky Pokemon here, but I love the design and it's fast and a hard-hitter. Just don't let Defeatist trigger...

Tyrunt line: Kalos fossils were actually really awesome. They had unique types and abilities, and can not admit this guy is a badass T-Rex? Love it.

Amaura line: My fave of the Kalos fossil duo. The majestic-ness and beauty of the Ice-type captured the design of this line perfectly, and Refrigerate is a great ability as well.

Carbink / Diancie: I love these cuties, especially because they are one of my fave types (Fairy) and I also love the design, with Diancie's very beautiful-looking Mega Evolution.

Wow Rhyperior leads the poll? YES! YES! YES!

Anyway, I voted for Rhyperior, Tyranitar and Aggron (and their lines). These three are what makes the Rock-type great, and their cool designs and sheer power will bring destruction in-game. Competitively Rhyperior may not be that great (still usable though), and Aggron is almost useless without its mega (in OU), but Tyranitar is a terror to behold, and definitely the best Rock-type of OU.

Diancie - One of my favourite Gen 6 Pokemon Nd my favourite Rock type.

Nosepass - It's Roxanne's Pokémon and reminds me of a little Rock Duck.

Probopass is my second favourite Pokémon of all time, and Nosepass is right up there n my top faves too. They're so weird but I love them so much. ♥

Shuckle - In addition to the meme, Shuckle is great! I loved that you get a free one in Johto.
Aggron - I used one in my Emerald run. Highly awesome Pokemon right here.
Cradily - It looks so silly. Soon I will breed one and use it.
Gigalith - He was, without a doubt, the hero of my Black run. He got me out of trouble more times than I could count.
Archeops - Was my first flying Pokemon in my Black run. I thought he was amazing!

I voted for Cradily and Gigalith. The former I didn't like at first, but then I used it competitively and it got me pretty far up the ladder. I got so many rage-quits it was amazing. The latter was my first shiny, and I used it to beat my friends in all of my battles. Oh, the memories.

Tough choice but I vote for Aggron. I used one in my first Black 2 run, he was gr8 but I abandoned the run. I then used it in my AS regular playthrough and she OWNED especially in mega form. Oh and P.S. This is one of the few megas I actually like.

I voted for Rhyhorn, Aerodactyl, Tirtouga, Archen and Tyrunt. I love the fossil Pokemon and these are my faves. Rhyhorn is one of my all time faves and I love that Rhyhorn Racing is now a thing!

Okay, the Rock-type it's my least favourite type, but I'll still vote :3

The Larvitar Line - I like this line! I've always been a fan of Tyranitar! Just because of it's design ... It looks so badass!
The Aron Line - This thing is so cute >.< I love their Rock/Steel type and Aggron is so badass in battle!
Tirtouga line - This is a Rock/Water Pokémon line! How couldn't I choose it? I love turtles and water types, so this one was an instant click >.<
The Archen Line - First, this doesn't look like a Rock type, which is good, second, I like flying types too :3 It's a good combination =D
The Amaura Line - OMG this thing is sooo cute <3 Amaura and Aurorus look so delicate and beautiful, and I love their Ice color >.< Awesome!
Carbink and Diance - I voted on them mostly because of Diance! I love that Fairy-type and its design only shows that it is one >.< It's so elegant and majestic, all those crystals and jewels look so gorgeus!

I voted for Omanyte, Kabuto, Aerodactyl, Larvitar, Lileep, Amaura and their evolutions. You don't have to be a genius to figure it out, I love ancient stuff.

My votes goes to Aggron, Regirock and Diancie. All them have amazing designs and they are undoubtedly my favourite rock types (actually, they're the only ones I like >~<).

I decided on two Pokemon for this type!

Aerodactyl - I was pretty neutral about Aero for the longest time until I read Pokemon Special. I really liked how Red got one. And then when I played Soul Silver I decided that Aerodactyl would be one of the Pokemon on my team. It was a great teammate and I really enjoyed using it and it became one of my favorites from there!

Carbink - I'm not too sure why I like Carbink. I think if anything I just really think it's design is adorable hahaha. I really want to try to use one sometime even though they're really defensive Pokemon which aren't Pokemon that I normally use.

The Archen Line
Cause it can beat up aerodactyl if it wants, has a cooler look, more colors, and kills most things with acrobatics...also its my favorite fossil pokemon <3
