Final Day: Day 30 - Favorite Anime

Day 12 - Favorite Shoujo Anime:

This probably should go to the only one I have watched in its entirety, that series being Negima! Princess Jellyfish, or Kuragehime for those who know it by its Romanized Japanese name. I do feel it was cut short too soon, though.

EDIT: Guess that's josei, not shoujo. Which means I don't have a favorite shoujo, as I haven't completed any such series to my recollection.

Day 12

Maria-sama ga Miteru is easily my favorite shoujo. On the surface it probably appears pretty boring to most since it lacks comedy, fanservice, and most facets of anime set in a school setting. Yet the characterization and progression of each girl is what really makes the show. The show is grounded in realism so everything is pretty believable and really gets you attached to everyones struggle.

Still don't know why I decided to watch it either. These kinds of shows have never been my cup of tea yet it turned out being one of my all-time favorites.

Day 12 - Favorite Shoujo Anime

Cardcaptor Sakura

There's just so much to love about this show: the artwork, the story, the songs, and all done in the form of a mahou shoujo series. It's great.

Note: Seinen and Josei are a lot lesser known, and thus I figure it'd be a good idea to specifically say that Seinen and Josei are the more mature equivalents of Shonen and Shojo respectively.

Day 13 - Favorite Seinen Anime

Shakugan no Shana

One of the best Anime I've ever watched. Great storyline, great characters, great action and great scenery. I'm proud to be a Shakugan no Shana fan! I highly recommend it.

My favourite demographic for anime (Josei for manga).

Monster, LotGh, Ghost in the Shell, Hellsing Ultimate, Black Lagoon, Baccano, Requiem for the Phantom, Kuuchuu Buranko, Kaiji, Giant Killing and a host of cute girls doing cute things shows, damn this is hard to choose.

I guess I'll go for Monster.

Day 13 - Favourite Seinen Anime

Well, several of the manga adaptations of Amagami SS are listed as seinen on Wikipedia, and I thouroughly enjoyed watching that for its multiple girl storylines, so it gets my vote :)

Wow, the decision for today's question was much easier than I thought it would be :P

Day 13

I think Fantastic Children is the first title that comes to mind, though it's not without it's flaws. The main character constantly being screwed over is probably my biggest gripe, but it's still a pretty fascinating story. Darker Than Black (first series), Akagi, and Monster are some other seinen that I greatly enjoyed as well.

Day 12 - Favorite Shoujo anime
Utena. Just everything about it is amazing. I don't normally like lengthy series, but I even think it works pretty well in this regard.

Day 13 - Favorite Seinen anime
Would be 20th Century Boys if it had an anime, but I'll say Kaiji instead. I love how intense and engaging it is.

Day 13 - Favorite Seinen Anime

Really a 3-way between Monster, Akagi, and Kaiji.

Akagi was probably near my first and got me into Mahjong. Kaiji is pretty creative on the games and theories behind each one. Monster is plain awesome.

I would have to say Nodame Cantabile for anime and Pietà for manga.

A demographic that I'm trying to watch more of this year.

Day 14 - Favorite Josei Anime

Since I'm a guy, this shouldn't be one to answer for me. But I have heard and possibly seen Honey and Clover at one point in time in the past.

For these two I'm guilty of not having seen much of them. So I'm picking ones I've actually seen and liked.

Day 13 - Favorite Seinen anime

I was shocked to find out the manga for Angel Beats! was seinen. So I'm going with that. Already described it in Day 08, but I should echo that I really liked it despite its short length. Not what you'd expect for something that starts like it did, first ep scene.

Day 14 - Favorite Josei anime

Nodame Cantabile. Also mentioned it, in Day 09, but at least I get to go in depth here. My brother was watching it, and I really liked the first opening and ending songs so I decided to watch. It was a fun anime, quirky characters, classical music, and yeah. Never watched the sequel, but I enjoyed watching what I did anyway.

Day 14 - Favorite Josei:

Turns out my answer for favorite shoujo series is actually a josei series, which would mean I haven't watched any shoujo series in its entirety yet. So, because of this, I am making Princess Jellyfish my answer to this, and going back to alter my other post to say that I have no answer for that. although Negima! can count for that one because it's got magical girls in it, right?!

Day 14 - Favorite Josei anime
Haven't seen many josei series, so gonna cheat and say a manga: the Deep Love series (mostly just Ayu no Monogatari and Pao no Monogatari). I'd recommend it but only if you're looking for something really depressing, lol.

Day 14

Wasn't really sure what categorizes as a Josei series so I had to look through some lists and it seems I haven't watched any. :\ Well, somehow Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 is categorized as one but I only got to about episode 7 before completely forgetting about it.
