Have you ever lost anything due to a fire?

    Dignity.

    Also some marshmallows.

Only a little bit of my hair to a firework.

I thought I was the only one lol D: I lost some of my hair when I was younger because I was playing with one when I shouldn't have been :x

No I haven't, and while my unit block's entrance did have a fire a few years ago the only thing that really got inside the building was smoke. I did fear for my belongings at the time, and as a result of the incident the building is now fitted with sprinklers.

I once lost a plastic trash can and a couple bottles of soap to a fire. I don't recall exactly how this happened, but I found myself holding an on-fire envelope in my hands. In a panic to get rid of it I tossed it in this plastic trash can. Which was full of old empty toilet paper rolls. While I was flustering around some soap bottles got knocked over into it as well. Then I ran away and got someone to fix it, which was done by just tossing it in the bathtub and running water over it.

I was like seven or so okay don't judge me.

Anything else I've lost to a fire was unimportant and intentional.

I haven't lose anything from fire. But I forget to switch off the cooking stove from time to time and the thread also reminds me how clumsy I was when lighting the Bunsen Burner at school. D:

I've never lost anything tangible in a fire.

However, I've lost time, energy, my patience and my sanity because other people in my building are pyromaniacs and constantly set off the bleeping fire alarms.

Thankfully, not to any sort of house fire.
Or for that matter, I don't think I've lost anything to any sort of fire yet, at least on accident.

I have burned some things on purpose, though. Mostly paper.

I'm the same. I don't keep my journals after I fill them up, I just burn them. Then years later I'll be trying to find a specific one (I kind of just fill random journals at a time, instead of each one consecutively, so I'll have three or four lying around) and sadly realize I must have burned it.

Dunno why I burn them. Just something that makes me move forward, I guess.

So far, no. I hope to keep it that way. I would die if I lost all my stuff in a fire. :( Either that, or I'd die trying to save everything... my family is usually pretty careful about these sort of things too. They both know the hazards and such, which is good.

When I was living in the dorms a few years ago, a fire broke out in one of the lounges but luckily no one was hurt (I didn't lose anything and I don't think anyone else either, mostly just smoke). Around a week later, though, some people thought it would be funny to set a box on fire and set the alarm. :/
