They may not reveal at the WHF, but we should be getting the english trailer for the koala and dog. But yeah, I think most will be a recap, but we may still get more info.

Even if it is the same thing, we might get an idea of what other pokemon may be on Route 1. Maybe another part of the island. Would love to see the city more on first island. But there may be pokemon there they aren't yet ready to reveal.

Speaking of route 1, I got the impression from the E3 playthrough and the trailer that came out after that the three Pokemon revealed in the trailer will be the only new Pokemon in route 1.

Went back into the archives on Serebii for X and Y and we got 4 different gameplay trailers in May and June. (total between the 2 months) It revealed a few extra pokemon and we also got the first gym in June. The pokemon were from that month's Corocoro.

And yeah, I don't think we will get any more on Route 1. I think what was revealed are the new ones on Route 1. It seemed like they had them ready in case they popped up in the gameplay.

Also, Honedge was revealed at the Japan Expo in 2013, which was the year of XY. We also got a 5th trailer which revealed the corocoro pokemon and Treverent.

Like ORandAS said, we could just be getting a recap of what was revealed at E3. I do also believe Yungoos, Grubbin and Pikipek will likely be the only new Pokemon catchable on Route 1.

Hopefully we'll get Iwanko and Nekkoala's English names around this weekend as well because it's weird with saying a Pokemon's Japanese name so often because it took so long for the localization to come out. With 6th Gen's new Pokemon we usually learned the English names a day or two after the Japanese but for these two Pokemon it's taking much longer.

I think that they could keep Nekkoala. Iwanko could be Pubble...or Peppy...

According to Serebii, it has been confirmed that we will be getting another batch on info on July 1st on the main site at the following time.
22:00 JST

More news!

It does seem like they're giving us news by the month now. Hopefully we get the English names of the newly revealed Pokemon and some more new info.

Next week will be big for me... because I have Australia's federal election to vote in and now more Sun & Moon news to be dropped as well. My body is ready, Game Freak.

Also as Blue said, Iwanko and Nekkoala's English names please!

With July being the 3rd month in a row of them releasing info in this manner, I'm really starting to think that CoroCoro will now be rendered useless for game-related news. The only thing that's come out in CoroCoro and hasn't appeared anywhere else yet are the koala and dog Pokemon.

It looks like the playthrough at World Hobby Fair was nothing new. They did the same route looking at Masuda's blog. But it looks like he confirms that, other than the ones we know, Pichu, Grubbin and Caterpie are also on Route 1. However, I don't see his dex entry. So I can't tell how many evos Grubbin has.

Edit: More news is set to come out on Pokénchi on July 3rd. Says we will get new info on new pokemon according to Serebii. This could be a recap or smaller detail of the Info Dump we are getting on July 1st.

Interesting that the episode is 2 days after the July 1st announcement which makes me think it will just reflect on that news? I can't really see the need for new information to be released initially after previous new information at the beginning of a month.

I do admit CoroCoro has now been rendered useless because most issues so far either had no SM-related news or didn't show a lot of it. The only major SM news from CoroCoro so far is two new Pokemon whose English names still haven't been revealed.

I figured the event wasn't worth it since I half-expected disappointment but Pichu being a wild encounter? I don't think we've had Pichu in the wild in any game aside from the Pokemon Mansion's Garden in D/P/Pt. So that means the encounters for Alola Route 1 are Yungoos, Pikipek, Ledyba, Grubbin, Caterpie and Pichu. Lot of Bug-types there for some odd reason but it seems like we'll have variety for an early route similar to first Kalos route with wild Pokemon which had Pidgey, Zigzagoon, Caterpie, Weedle, Fletchling, Scatterbug and Bunnelby.

Not getting hopes up for Pokenchi because when they last promised something SM-related it was just a recap of the announcement trailer.

It's not that CoroCoro hasn't had any news, it's just that it happens to be the same exact info that pops up on the official Pokemon site in the earlier parts of the month. Hence why Serebii and other sites haven't posted most of the CoroCoro leaks on a while.

They really only had new news once :(
If they did small reveals, that would still be something.

It is hard to believe that this is now the era of CoroCoro being irrelevant because of trailers spreading the news before the magazine even leaks, and these trailers are being more successful to the point that most people find leaking the scans pointless.

CoroCoro seems to be redundant for most of the news now. The only new piece of information we got from them through the whole of the Sun & Moon wait is Nekkoala and Iwanko. It makes sense with the popularity of social media sources increasing which means rather than a magazine that just sells in Japan, they can use platforms such as YouTube to appeal to everyone.

So pokenchi will have new info ...too

July 1st and 3rd will be first wave of July info
