Get-Together 2025

I'd like to host Mafia, at mafia.gg. To be honest, I'd prefer if someone else hosts it, but I'll host it unless anyone else steps up. I'm also open to Co-Hosts.

Would appreciate some co-hosts for Pictionary and Jackbox.
Would you consider Sketchful over Skribbl? It has some better features, including one feature that lets you save a picture of a drawing without having to rely on screenshotting quickly.

I'm open to it, but we had issues with it when we tried it last year iirc.

Just noting I've taken Archipelago out of my list of events!

If you aren't hosting an Archipelago this time, and nobody else (e.g. Devalue) has plans to host one, I'd like to host an Archipelago event of my own.

Only planned to run an Archipelago event if nobody else stepped up. Will be busy hosting Mind Read the Room and PokeCommunity Battle Factory (plus participating in others). Takes a while to process results.

Hey, so I have some questions all about this whole Get Together place, as I am some what interested in participating.

1. Do I need my own Nintendo Switch console in order to do most of the Events here? Cause I currently don't have a Nintendo Switch console of my own. I am planning on getting one soon, though.

2. What is the difference between the Dawnrangers and the Duskbrawlers?

3. What are these PokeDollars that are being awarded? Are they like for in your Pokemon games on the Switch? Or are they more like actual dollars, or what?

4. Where and when do we go to actually do these Events?

5. Could I volunteer to be an Event Organizer, or could I join someone in one the Events to co-host alongside with?

6. Could someone please explain each of these Events and how to do them, in great details?

7. I've been re-watching the Pokemon anime a lot lately, and I think that I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to the Pokemon anime, so I'm thinking that for starters I might wanna start with the Pokemon Anime Nights. If that's okay. And, not to brag, but if anyone wants to, you can feel free to quiz me on my Pokemon anime knowledge, and see how well I do on it. That's how confident I am about my Pokemon anime knowledge. But I've only watched up until the end of the XYZ anime. I haven't really seen the Sun and Moon series, or the Journeys series just yet, as I kind of fell off of the anime after the XYZ series. So if you wanna quiz me on the Pokemon anime, only give me questions about up until the end of the XYZ series.

I think that about covers all of my questions on the matter. I look forward to doing what I can to help out here.

Hello! Happy to answer your questions.

1. Some of the events might require a Switch, but the vast majority will not.

2. Dawnrangers and Duskbrawlers are the two teams for this year's GT. The main difference really is just that you'll be competing against the other team to earn the most points/complete the most work on Lumiose. The actual distribution for teams is decided by a quiz that you will be redirected to from the GT forum once it is up.

3. PokeDollars is just what we're calling points this year. They have no monetary value and are just called that to suit the theme and special mechanics of this year's GT.

4. The events are all held across the PokeCommunity forums and Discord. There are no in-person parts to it since that would drastically limit who in our community could participate, among other reasons.

5. To volunteer to be an Event Organiser, you just need to post in this thread with some info about what kind of event you'd like to host. Otherwise, you can also volunteer to help with existing event submissions if the current host has asked for help or is open to it.

6. To do that here would take up a lot of space in the thread, but a lot of them you can probably guess about from their names. Otherwise, every event will be explained in detail in their own thread once the GT starts and you're welcome to message myself or the host(s) of events you are curious about for more details.

7. If you're interested in helping with the anime nights, I'd suggest messaging the person who submitted those events and asking if they need/want help.

Hope that helps!
