    uhmm...

"U-uh... Um... I-in that class? They were doin' some weird stuff... M-mehbe i imagined it... N-never mind um... Ai gotta go..." Alicea started walking away, apparently uncomfortable about something. Uh, wait was it something I said? Manchester looked around and saw that a bunch of food appeared on the wooden table near the pool. What happened to no eating near the pool?

"Uh, Alicea, wait," Manchester called out. After he said it, he immediately regretted it. Manchester does not know what to follow up with that. "Uh, do you want to eat first? I am really sorry if I, uh, I am really clingy. I do not know how to really, uh, interact with people easily. You're the first one. Can we just, uh, hang out for the mean time until we, you know, uh. Until we make more friends?" Or until I make mine, as seeing you have your roommate already. "Hey, I should be the older guy but I terribly suck at socializing." I am terribly making no sense. "I- I- If that is just okay with you."

  • "Uh, Alicea, wait," Manchester called before she took two steps. She paused and turned, wondering what exactly he wanted. Honestly, hadn't she freaked him out enough for one day? Almost anyone else would have gone running, screaming... Ok, maybe she was being a little over dramatic, but still! But he had asked her to wait, so wait she did.

"Y-yes?" she asked softly, waiting for him to continue.

"Uh, do you want to eat first? I am really sorry if I, uh, I am really clingy. I do not know how to really, uh, interact with people easily. You're the first one. Can we just, uh, hang out for the mean time until we, you know, uh. Until we make more friends?" He wanted to spend more time with her too? She was a bit stunned by this, and it made her feel weak in the knees. An actual friend? She had spent so much time outside of the circles of everyone. How did she respond to that? What could she say or do? But he wasn't done speaking. He was obviously very nervous.

"Hey, I should be the older guy but I terribly suck at socializing." That statement confused her a great deal. So what if he was older? Who cared honestly? "I- I- If that is just okay with you."

"S-sure... I don' mind... An' Ai am a bit hungreh I suppose... Y-yuh reckon we cain git some food from there?" she asked, pointing to the table of food... Which begged the question... Just WHERE the hell had that come from? She wasn't exactly asleep! How had it just suddenly appeared out of no where? Had she really not noticed people bringing it out and setting it up?

Priscilla tilted her head. "That's what happened?" she asked. "That explains why I'm so wet..." She froze when Kyle hugged her. She coughed softly and winced when she coughed out water. "Is that normal?" she asked when she finished coughing. Wait... Kyle didn't mention anything about Alyssa... Maybe she wasn't really here at all... It had to have been a dream... Priscilla felt tears in her eyes and sniffled. So that's it? Her sister really was gone... She's really gone... I can't believe it. Priscilla looked at Kyle and frowned. "What happened to Max?" she asked.

  • Selena Bravo - Room 1

"A plant?" Selena was too carried away of her thirst problem, that she didn't check the rest of her room. "I didn't see any plant, but I'd love to see it though!" She has had a lot of fascination of plants and she loved to manipulate them. She turned around and saw the plant on her window. It was a pink-petal flower with a thick stalk. It had vines as leaves, and small leaves were hanging out. That plant was probably one of the plants she grew...without any notice. Probably the time she was hanging out with Ginny. She sensed that the plant was alive. Getting a little close to the plant. She found a note right next to it. As she grabbed the plant and the note from the window, she read The SECOND most beautiful plant I've ever seen, maybe one day it will grow into its own.

It took a while for Selena to figure out what Liam meant. What was the first most beautiful plant? It was actually her.

"Oh Liam..." Selena faced him, "this is beautiful! This is probably...one of the plants I grew without notice. I...wanted to thank you. You're too sweet."

She blushed a little as she brushed a part of her wet hair to the back. Selena glanced at the beautiful plant, and placed it back on the window to gather a little more sunlight. The note was also placed next to the pot as well, as she had plans to put it away later.

Liam was going to take a nap, but he wanted to eat first. Lunch was still around the corner, and Selena only drank water instead of eat. Liam invited her to eat lunch with him. As she glanced over his eyes and his adorable curly blonde hair, she smiled. "Sure, I'd love to! Maybe this could be the chance to get to know each other...as roomies." she said, tying her hair up in a ponytail, "and, probably make up for our...introduction we had earlier."

  • Liam was happy to see Selena smile when she looked at the plant then it vanished for a second when she picked up the note. Oh yeah, I forgot I put that there...what did I wri-oh...that's embarrassing. He didn't know his ears could move but they perked up for a moment like a cat's when it seemed she liked what the note said too. He blushed when she called him sweet. Not as sweet as that scent that follows you around. "Heh, well I guess sometimes my feelings actually can cut through the haze of thought...I'm glad you like it, I'm sure it will grow to be even more beautiful, especially if we take good care of it, course it'll never beat out the original."

He was so glad she accepted his offer, and when she mentioned their first meeting he let out a little laugh. "Haha, you're right it was a bit of a rocky start, here's to new beginnings and hopefully a strong friendship. Hey maybe we'll see Matthias there, I like him so far, cool guy." When Will felt ready to go he made an exaggerated bow, gesturing towards the exit to the dorms. "If everything is in order, after you milady."

    Eden & Del
Chapter 1: A Boy and His (Psycho) Cat

Eden had finally gotten to Gilded Halls, and as the letter sent to him said he went to the reception desk to receive the information regarding class, rooming, and all the other things he may need to know. When he got there he was surprised to see that no one was actually at the reception desk. Instead there was a bag with a note next to it. Eden read the note and learned that the gift bag had all the tools needed for the school. The note also mentioned two dorms and how to get to them. He remembered from before that he was staying in the Valiant Hall. Quickly, he grabbed the bag and searched it for anything that could give him a direction towards his next destination. A map was one of the first things he found, but he decided to wait until he got to his room to decide his next location. Now content with his visit to the reception desk, he went out the door and followed the directions on the note.

It didn't take long for Eden to get to Valiant Hall, but almost immediately upon his arrival a certain cat decided he wanted to talk.

So, have you gotten to Gilded Halls yet?

"Yep, and the place seems to have a certain air to it."

Ooh, really? You should let me come out and play so I can get a sense of the place.

"Maybe in a little bit, but for now I want to put my stuff up."

Aww, that's no fun. Well, once your done call me out.

"Yeah, I'll call you out in just a bit."

    Well, tata for now.

    "Don't ever say tata again."

Del didn't answer back at that point. With his distraction now out of the way Eden refocused his attention on finding his room. He sifted through the gift bag until he found his card-key. Eden thought it was pretty fancy to use a card-key instead of normal keys. The number on the key read 2, so he looked around for a matching room. It only took a couple of seconds as it would turn out. The room was one of four lined up on the ground floor, so at least it was easy to spot them. Eden walked up to the room, slid his key into the slot, and opened the door. Due to the contrast in light the room appeared pitch black. He took a few steps into the darkness and sifted the wall for anything like a light switch. It took him a few seconds, but he did find one. Two beds were in the room and one side had already been taken as there was stuff already there. Eden tossed the rest of his stuff on the open bed and sat beside it. It was a pretty soft bed he thought. After sitting there for a minute or two he grabbed his map and scouted it for a place to go to next. He finally decided the cafeteria would suffice as his next destination. Once he left the room he realized that two people were talking right outside a room 1. Upon seeing them an idea came to Eden.

"Hey, Del, you wanna have some fun?"

When do I not wanna have fun?

"Alright then. I'm gonna let you out, and as soon as I do, drop in on those two people talking. Give 'em a good scare."

    Happily.

Eden's eyes glowed and from nothingness appeared Del. As per usual, Del wore his Cheshire grin. Del flew up above the two and fell from the sky. The cat dropped until he met their line of sight.

"So, whom's pleasure do I have to be meeting today?"

Eden waited to see how the two reacted before he made his presence known.

"Oh, you met Matthias?" Selena asked about Matt, the Danish telekinetic guy whom she had worked with earlier in the lesson. "He seemed pretty cool. We worked together in our lesson. He got a fire beaker and since I wasn't aware, I ran out of the classroom. We both decided to work outside because I chose the Air element." She held her attempt to blush, as she didn't want to embarrass herself. "So, yeah...I'm kinda hungry now. I drank a lot of water today, but food wouldn't hurt me either--"

Their conversation was interrupted as the next room, Room 2, was being opened by a black-haired guy with a weird-looking cat. The guy was possibly a new student, moving in the room. The cat was curious about Liam and Selena. As the cat made a move towards them, Selena stepped back a little, trying to stay away from the cat. Then she hopped behind Liam and unawarely placed her hands on his shoulders. Why did this guy bring his cat to school? Aren't pets not allowed on school property? she thought to herself.

"Liam," Selena said, "Another fact about me. I hate fire, and I hate cats." She had to be blunt, and direct. Then her voice lowered, "Can we just go, please?"

Selena lowered her head so that way she wouldn't see the cat in front of her. She felt hard muscles on Liam's shoulders, as if he was probably had worked out lately. But knowing Liam so far, he would be nice and patient to the cat, just like he had been patient to a girl roomie.

  • "Yeah I did, in the library he was nice and there was a kangaroo...who was a guy...but I haven't seen him since then." Liam listened happily to Selena recounting her meeting with Matthias, their second meeting was going well so far and he looked forward to getting to know his beautiful roommate. "Yeah I was in the room when you got scared, I felt bad, I would have warned him if I knew you guys were in the room yet." He was about to ask what kind of food she liked, although he felt it would be less solid, when out of nowhere a cat appeared in front of them and greeted them, a Cheshire cat no less! He wasn't fazed though, having pieced together that the school really was for people with special talents and abilities kept him from reacting too strongly. "You must be mad, if you weren't you wouldn't have come here." He muttered to himself when he looked at the cat. He noticed a new resident of room 2 outside the door and figured he must be the source of the cat.

Will felt a not-unpleasant chill run up his spine when Selena put her hands on his shoulders. Yeah, my one genuinely masculine trait, for once luck IS on my side, must be friday the 13th...but this cat isn't black...huh. Since Selena was behind him he knew he couldn't scare her with an expression, so he spread his mouth as wide as he could in his attempt at a Cheshire grin. "Do you, my feline friend, know why a raven is like a writing desk? I'd love to talk another time but right now I am to escort a lady so, tata." A shame really, I like cats and this one looks really interesting but Selena's my roommate and she comes first...besides...this is nice. Will began to walk down the hall a bit, taking one of her hands off his shoulder and into his own hand, he didn't know if she was afraid of cats or just plain didn't like them but he found himself a little protective, a feeling quite alien to him what with not being a big manly man and all.

After only a short bit Liam began to let go of Selena's hand, he didn't want to go making any claims, her hand was so soft but..."So, why don't we head to the kitchen? I haven't heard about any events so I guess it's the most logical place to start, maybe we'll see Matthias there."

Angel opened her eyes and instantly regretted it. Light streamed in from her windows and she winced in pain. Sensory overload, another reason she wished to be her old self again. But... no matter. She slowly sat up and closed her eyes, raising her head and tilting it. There was still no one in the room, just the same presence of things that she was aware of at the edge of her focus.

She had no special power that told her these things, just a long developed set of sensitive receptors, fingers, nose, and ears, to tell her this. There was no sound of movement and the air smelled mostly empty. People didn't know they smelled as much as they did. Like their deodorant was distinct. It could be incredibly overwhelming. Angel wondered how much doctors understood about this. Not much, she would assume. She had had this problem before getting her eyesight, and having that sense on top of it made it worse.

However, she would not complain. Complaints made nothing.

Carefully, she maneuvered herself to slide off the bed and onto her feet. "Mmph... how long was I resting..." She turned her head towards the window, where the sunlight ached. "Must not have been too long." Angel plodded towards the door. She would have to work on things. For now... exploration, recognizing the places her feet should trod. That was important.

    Her stomach gurgled.

    That was as well.

    Eden & Del
Chapter 1: A Boy and His (Psycho) Cat

Del had been slightly disappointed with the girl's reaction and the boy wasn't even frightened. It never was his intention for a person to be scared of him as much as the antics he performed, but none the less he accomplished what he set out to do, he even received a quote or two. A question had been posed to Del with an answer he knew would be just as puzzling. He decided to save his answer for later, since both of them continued on their way to wherever. With a kick of his feet Del cruised back to where Eden had been standing.

    "Was that good enough?"

"Yes, it was rather funny. By the way, why is a raven like a writing desk?"

"It's simple really. For there is a B in both and an N in neither."

"Wait, what?... Oh, I get it. That's still not a very good answer. Let's go get something to eat now."

    "Let's."

Eden grabbed his map and scanned it for a dining hall, cafeteria, or kitchen. There seemed to be a kitchen and dining hall and a couple of different ways to get there. One way led past the two people Del had just reacted with, while the other way was a bit more out of the way. It seemed to lead past the pool. Eden wasn't much for confrontation when he wasn't instigating it, so he decided to go by the pool on his way to lunch.

Eden and Del plodded along their path, well Eden did, Del more or less was walking upside down above Eden's head. Honestly, it looked like a really distorted fun house mirror, since Del walked on two feet. Their walk continued for several minutes, something that reminded them both of times while at camp. Finally, they saw the pool coming into view. An odd sight had been there, a white ferret. Both Eden and Del were perplexed.

"You suppose it's a pet?" Eden started.

"Even if it is, where is the owner?"

"Should we stop for a bit and wait to see?"

"Why not? It's not like we were in a hurry to get to lunch."

The oddities continued to grow when they had seen two people near a large table of food. They had both gone from perplexed to absolutely baffled. Eden decided to go ask them about possibly being the owner of the ferret or if the food was available to eat. They had walked towards the two people, but an odd aura of sorts surrounded them. Perhaps they were shy? Eden wasn't sure whether to talk to them, since shy people weren't usually the first to be apt in dealing with Del. Almost on cue, Del had decided to break silence.

"Hello, would be so kind as to share your delicious food with us?"

Del just had to say something, while still floating and upside down no less...

The girl woke up just when that Kyle guy was hugging her. Nathan really wished he could have such feelings for people but he never experienced them for anyone. After all, he was alone. People thought he was happy because he was rich, strong and had good looks but the truth is that he was alone. He was a boy that screamed for his parents to notice and love him. Not the time to think about this. But he couldn't help it, Kyle was well with Priscilla. They were good together and he didn't think anyone needed him anymore. They were in their little world. Actually he was quite jealous and sad that he wasn't that close to anyone. The only person who knew him a little was him again. He silently made his way out of the room and left them with a pinch of sadness within himself. Why does no one like me? Am I so bad that I don't deserve anyone?

Ginevra Morrigan & Angel Lumis - By the Pool
With the task of fixing herself up complete, Ginevra had a bit more pep in her step as she stepped outside. Instantly, her nose smelled something delicious which seemed not too far off. Like a hawk, her eyes narrowed as she spotted her target -- a tasty lunch spread out by a large table near the pool, highlighted by one of her favorite foods -- pizza! Now she was right on it, her eyes as large as saucers as she hovered with plate in hand, wondering what type to get. She found herself getting one slice of pepperoni and one of sausage, since she wasn't able to decide between the two.

Angel found herself wandering at a loss. Now she wished she had not left her hat on her bed. It was still simply too bright for her. Hmm... it didn't help that the pool's reflections was so bright. She shut her eyes to it and stumbled toward the table, following her nose. She smelled pizza... urgh. That was so greasy half the time. Opening her eyes a slit, she used her book free hand to grab a pear and an apple with some potato chips. Then, she turned away and went to go find some shade. She didn't mind the feel of the sun, but it made her vision so red.

Oh... Mother would be so displeased with me... not being social... not showing my pride... but I have nothing to be proud of.

Mentally, she shook her head, smiling to herself. She needed to keep practicing her description skills, so she could get better at this... changing... thing. So, it was off to another book.

As Ginny took another bite of her pizza, she noticed a peculiar girl who had come up to the food table with her eyes closed. Why are her eyes closed? She tilted her head a bit and called out, "Hey, girl with her eyes closed! Come here." She felt it was a bit rude, but she couldn't exactly wave her over or anything. Where she had chosen to sit was shady and comfortable, away from the hot sun which was rather uncharacteristic for England, at least from what she knew of England.

Angel blinked at the voice and turned towards it. Did she really want to? She had a nice book to read... it was about dragons... and destinies... and what brought the two together. On the other hand... maybe the person was nice... if a little coarse. Shyly, she crept over to Ginny, sitting down at the edge of the shade. "Hello..."

After taking another bite of her pizza, Ginny dapped her mouth with her napkin and padded the shaded tree root beside her, "Have a seat, little one." She offered a soft smile, "I'm sorry that I was rude... I didn't know how to get your attention since your eyes are closed. What's up with that?" She tilted her head a bit and then frowned, "Oh, I'm sorry, sometimes I can be a bit direct. Ignore that question, if you like. I'm Ginevra, but most people call me Ginny."

"Oh... I... that was not an issue, so..." Angel managed a tiny smile, gently creasing her potato chip bag with her fingers. It never occurred to her to move her bangs from her eyes now that she was in the shade. "I presume it must look different, there was no harm done. My name is Angel, but... at the moment," She frowned, oddly perplexed for a moment. "If it would not be a bother to you, you could call me Ange."

Now with her pizza halfway gone, Ginny studied the girl a bit more closely. She had cute features and was quite tiny, but the way the girl talked struck odd with her. "Alright, Ange it is. If I have to call you that, though, you have to call me Ginny." She offered her second piece to the girl, "Do you want to help me finish this piece? I think I mighta grabbed a bit too much." Her accent drew out the words and she smiled a bit clumsily, as she was becoming more aware of it now that she was away from home.
"So, Ange, what brings you here?" Her eyes looked around and she laughed a little, "Rumor has it, people at this school have special powers. I've seen some interesting things, but not everyone seems to have powers, or at least doesn't show them."

Angel's eyes, half-open even in the shade, raked over the pizza. Her stomach gave a small cramp of disapproval, like a swat from the back of her mother's hand. As politely as she dared, Angel shook her head. "My apologies, I... I do not eat that sort of thing." Despite working at a diner, her father had been mildly adamant about her not eating unhealthy foods, not wanting anything in her body to eat certain... untoward items. "And... I.. I will call you Ginny." It wasn't that she was hesitant to do so. She had never called Benjy anything even close to Benjamin. It was just... awkward. Yes she was very socially awkward.

"Ah... to be honest, I have not heard that..." She scratched her head. "I only arrived a few hours ago and have not seen much..." Why was she here? Underneath her hair, she paled. "I... I am not certain as to why I am here... but I am certain the answer will show itself in time."

Ginny wasn't one to show off her powers, so she kept that part to herself. She had seen many interesting things and had connected the rather obvious dots, especially after Elements 101 when they had each discovered that some people had a natural psionic ability to control an element, which had almost nothing to do with phasing. "Well, I know we have a girl that is pretty much a plant..." Her face flushed at the thought of Selena, "But that's really all I know. I was a bit preoccupied earlier today."

Her blue eyes studied the girl beside her as she took another bite of her pizza, wondering what made her special, if her hunch was right. "Oh, you're in the second wave. And it's alright, I'm just being nosy." She gave the girl a smile as she reached out to brush the bangs out of her eyes, "Sorry, it was bothering me a little bit."

"A... plant?" That was an interesting idea. She would have to consider it one of these days, but... no, no not now. That was odd. In the real world, that was very, very odd. Then again... so was she.

She froze, unintentionally, when the hand brushed her hair from her face. Instantly, color and light filled her eyes and she winced, shutting them tightly. Ow, she thought, mentally trying not to panic. Too much information... way, way, way too much. Angel recognized this and didn't explain it, merely kept her eyes shut and her hands focused on opening the chip bag. Suddenly, she was not very hungry.

Angel did manage to smile, though. "Please do not worry. Curiosity is healthy." She really did not mind too much, but... what she did not know or wish to say, she did not.

Ginny jerked back as concern filled her features, "Oh em gee! I am so sorry... I didn't realize that light bothered you." She shook her head, thinking how stupid she was to think that brushing the hair out of the way was alright. "I'll try to be more sensitive from now." She wasn't sure what was up with the girl in front of her, but she wanted to find out. "Next time, how about we find somewhere dark to hang out? Would that be more comfortable for you?"

"No... it is.. it is all right, I... I should be used to the light by now, forgive me..." Angel smiled a little bit, looking up at her with a bright, nearly energetic smile. "It is simply a... um... an information overload for my senses... so... it makes things difficult... I should have explained myself properly..." Of course, she had not had the chance to panic or any of that. That was a relief. "I... I would not mind... thank you."

Why was this girl being nice?

  • Selena Bravo - Outside

Her thoughts were right. Liam WAS being patient to the cat in front of him. As he took his time to talk it out, he started to walk her out of the lounge and down the hall towards the cafeteria. Selena felt Liam holding her hand after she had let go of his shoulders. Although it wasn't really necessary for her to take cover from a harmless cat, but she was extremely sensitive to many things. This may be due to her being a plant and was afraid of being destroyed, and also being indoors for most of her life.

Selena didn't want to let go of Liam's hand as he held it for a little while. It felt a little muscular, and she felt protected. "Yeah, Matt said he'd be at the lunch room. I hope he's there." she said. She massaged her hand gently, trying to conserve his grip. "I didn't get a chance to thank him for helping me out with the lesson earlier. I hope he also mastered his Fire element."

Exiting to the outdoors, Selena and Liam got in line to receive their slices of pizza on the table. There were plenty of tables to sit in, a lot of them unoccupied. It was only pizza on the menu, and nothing else. Selena smiled at the food, and started to grab three slices and placed them on the plate. She was thirsty back then, now she was hungry. But plants like her...aren't really carnivores.

Her conscience went crazy. She wasn't supposed to have that. Her diet is mostly liquid, most of the time are soups. She served herself, and awaited Liam to serve his.

  • After reading a lengthy article on memories, and doing an internet search, Marquis came to the conclusion that he was completely missing memories of his earliest years of childhood. He decided to seek out this mysterious person who messaged him, curious to know what he was missing, and even how. He went into the school system and withdrew a withdrawal form, he filled out the information and forged his mother's signature. He than created a false email sent from her account stating that he was taken out of school for family reasons.

Marquis saw that one new student was coming in who had not arrived, and moved him to room 6. That way it wouldn't have been awkward to see a one person room.

He went back to his room through his laptop and quickly packed up everything he had as quickly as possible. He also left a note on his desk just in case his roommate wondered where he went. It stated that he had been withdrawn for family reasons.

He rushed to the front desk, where he checked out and left the school.

    Meanwhile
I got off the train onto the terminal deck. The places I lived in America didn't have or need trains, so it was a foreign experience to me. Needless to say, there were a lot of interesting people here just like in America, so I couldn't say I felt out of place.

It was a rather long drive to the school, which was in the middle of nowhere. I bumped into a kid that looked eerily like me, with glasses, and less smiling. He hailed the cab I took and left very quietly. I walked inside, to the front desk. I was surprised to see that the school was very small. There were hardly any students, and it seemed like there wasn't many people here at all. I opened up an email assigning me my room. Oddly enough, it was a room change, and I was assigned to room 6.

I went toward the nearest dorm building and climbed to floor 2, finding my room fairly quickly. The room had not been used very much, so it looked like only one person had been here. I decided to take a shower and get some lunch, seeing that there was a bathroom and kitchen. I preheated the oven and got in the shower.

"S-sure... I don' mind... An' Ai am a bit hungreh I suppose... Y-yuh reckon we cain git some food from there?" Alicea asked, pointing to the table. The table seemed to be filled with a variety of snacks. There were pizzas, chips, and even a stack of burgers in a corner.

"Yeah, I reckon we could get a munch there. Let's go," Manchester said. He headed towards the table and grabbed a slice of pizza. Hawaiian flavor. Just my thing. He sloppily ate the cheesy (oh my god, cheese) goodness and several of the toppings (is that pineapple?) fell. "Alicea, you should-uh-try this. It's great!" Manchester said. Aside from doing tricks and illusions, he is also a food fan. He likes to try out new flavors and all.

"Uh, you mention about powers. And yeah, I guess you could call the first subject weird. I, uh, if you don't mind me asking. What's your power?"

  • Alicea just kind of stared at him as he wildly devoured the food. She... Suddenly found she had lost her appetite. Suddenly she just felt kind of queasy, and closed her eyes as he turned to look at her.

"Alicea, you should-uh-try this. It's great!" he said cheerfully, as if nothing was wrong. Slowly she shook her head and reached for a cold soda. She fumbled with the can weakly and pulled it open, drinking. Then she made a face. She hadn't paid any attention and grabbed a can of grape soda. But she kept it with her and drank some more... Until his next statement caused her to choke a little bit.

"Uh, you mention about powers. And yeah, I guess you could call the first subject weird. I, uh, if you don't mind me asking. What's your power?" This made her cough and sputter, and she shook her head weakly.

"P-powuh? Um... W-what powuh?" she mumbled meakly. She began feeling dizzy and was yelling at herself all over again for her stupid slip up. She wanted to find Nathan... She wanted to run, but she couldn't. Where else would she even go?

    uhmmm Part 2

"P-powuh? Um... W-what powuh?" Manchester said, his hand still holding the pizza. Alicea was coughing in her grape soda. Uh-oh. Assumption wrong, assumption wrong. Retreat, retreat.

"I-uh. You know what. Forget everything I am-uh- trying to say when I'm eating. I-uh, I am not myself when I eat, you know. Or, I-uh, forget everything there is to remember when I eat. Sorry," Manchester turned his back again. Well, what's that first class supposed to mean? Controlling the elements? Was that just a philosophical question that I managed to do literally? Am I really the only one special here? Echoing his thoughts, Manchester concentrated on the image of a butterfly in his free hand. Cupping it so that only he could see, he took a look and a miniscule image of a butterfly shimmered in his hands. A pretty neat ability, I know. But I'll be considered a freak. A literal circus freak if word gets out. Manchester shook his hand, dispelling the illusion. He took another bite on his pizza. "Come, eat, Alicea."

  • Will followed Selena when she began to take the lead, he was going to ask why they weren't heading towards the kitchen when they stepped outside and lo and behold, food. "Rapture..." Will muttered to himself as he laid eyes on the bountiful array of delicious, FREE food. He waited for Selena to dish herself up some pizza and then got himself a slice, he figured he'd start with the old favorite and then try...well one of everything of course! As stated before he's not skinny because of a healthy excercise regimen. He looked over at Selena and saw her scrutinizing her pizza with a strange look on her face, but once again his concern for his roommate was shoved aside by a more surprising thought. Matthias isn't here...he must have gone to the kitchen first like I was going to. "Hey, I'll be right back, I'm gonna go see if Matthias knows about all this yet." He excused himself and made his way back towards the main building.

Once he had made his way back to the kitchen like area outside of the dorms Will quickly noticed Matthias looking like he was getting ready to rustle himself some grub. He figured he might be overstepping his bounds this early on but he hadn't done ANYTHING mischievous since he had arrived at gilded halls, so Will crept up behind Matthias as silently as he could and lightly slapped him on the back. "Hey there buddy! Forget about the kitchen for now, follow me outside to the pool and I'll show you heaven my friend...also did I mention the school might be in wonderland?"

  • Grace de Lambrina & Dominic Irving

    Grace's Mood: Infatuated [Pink]
    Dom's mood: Disgusted [Deep Green]
    Theme Song:

The bright sunlight gently caressed the duo's bodies. An orchestra of growling stomaches surrounding them more and more with every step they took. Grace couldn't stop talking. First about her family, then her perfect grades, heck, she had told her life to this stranger already and they hadn't even walked for five minutes!

This girl... Dom had payed attention for the first minute of her non-stop rambling but, alas even the nicest men in the world would have given up on this girl. He would utter the ocassional "Mhm" or "Sounds nice" and nod his head in agreement as he was dying on the inside.

Grace could only think of Dom as a man of few words. As he would rarely speak up. Which was good, because she loves to talk about herself. And it was also bad, cause he now knew that she's not a natural blond and gthe only thing she knew about him is that he was a robot. Chances are this fact wasn't even true.

"But that's enough silly talk about me!" The eager female decides to end as she stare at Dom. Wide smile across her face, as she decides to proceed: "Let's talk about you!"

"Umm... I'm good, sorry." Domnic gave a warm smile. "My past is something that i'd rather not talk about." He had already taken the time to open up to Evan and he had broke down then. Dom didn't want to start crying in front of a girl... especially not this chatter box.

"Well you sir are rude!" She adds in a sudden shift of mood. Hand placed on her waist as she extends her legs, as if to aid to the point she wanted to proove, "I tell you everything about me and then you just say 'uh, me no want to speak'!" She ends in a poor attempt to immitate a deep voice that is nonexistant within her. As soon as she's done, she turns around emiting a "Hmp" like sound from her lips. Eyes closed, mad as can be. And also happy. But mostly mad.

Rude? Dom's face flashed with anger for a moment before he started laughing. "Was that supposed to be my voice?" He started to laugh. "I'm sorry, Grace. My past just brings up bad memories... memories that I don't want to think about right now." Dom's face gave a disheartened look. "Are you okay with that?"

Silence. She's not willing to reply. Regret. Maybe he just doesn;t want to talk as much as she does? Anger. Blasphemy, she deserves to know details as personal as those she just told him! And... colors. Lots of pretty, shiny olorful waves hoverign everywhere. In front of her the grass was burning an intense yellow. The buildings left behind them are all emiting a strong rainbow of colors. The sky is shining a light green, and all around her is a pink aura that is thick enough to envelope her and blcom her sight. As if this wan't enough, when she turns around, an expression of panic in her face, all she notices are more colors.

Dominic's body looses a defined shape as all she an see are pieces of red, blue, green, every color that one can imagine surrounding him. Surrounding her everything, barely allowing her to know where is up and where is down.

Silence. She stares at Dom, more scared than before. Hands waving around her as she tries to sort out her surroundings between the myriad of colors she's seeing.

What the hell? Dom watched as Grace flailed her arms while staring at him. "Hey! You alright there?!" He had expected his time with this girl to be strange... but this was turning out to be something else.

"I... Y-Yes! Just..." She stutters and laughs nervously as a slight drip of sweat surfs down her face, "Just, tell me where you are!" Dominic replies with a nervous laugh of his own. "Right ahead of you."

With her sight growing blurrier and messier, all she can see are Blurred Lines running across her sight. Not precisely straight but rather wavy, but still. That was worth the reference, "A-Are you sure?" "Yeah, straight ahead... Are you sure that your okay?"

"Um, yeah... I just..." She pauses as her hands finally feel Dom's chest. Mmm, delicious, and back to reality, she replies to the blurry shapes in front of her, "I just can't really see you right now..."

A disability maybe? He didn't really want to pry. "What do you mean by can't see me?"

"What I mean is that all I can see is a blur of colors where you're standing. And red grass, but mostly blurs of colors where you are..." She sighs, tapping her eyes gently with her hand, "I hate when this happens..."

Dom gives Grace a confused look before replying. "Blurs of colors? A medical condition?"

"Well, I believe the appropiate term would be 'Synesthesia', it's basically seeing colors where they shouldn't be, or seeing music notes or whatever, it's different from person to person. Mine allows me to see emotions in the form of blurs and waves... or something. Today's been a very colourful day..." She ends with another sigh, "It fades after a while." Another sigh. At least she hasn't tripped again... Not yet, at least,

"Synesthesia, huh? Never heard of that before..." Dom reached out and touched Grace so, she could have a reference to where he was. "This school is really weird..."

"It is!" She laughs, with a soft giggle that isn't forced at all. She stares at the soft waves of a light blue that place themselves on her shoulder while feeling pressure against it. Must be his arm, "But enough silly chipering. We should get going!" "You can't see though can you?", "Uh... Err... Maybe? It's not like I'm blind, really. I just... can't see anything other than colors right now..." "I see... Okay where is our next stop then?", "I dunno... Where's the food?"

*** <- Le Awesome Skip to Dah Pool!

"And then I said 'save those sexist teenager comments for your grandma, your honor!'" A laughing Grace is seen barrating as she is ingesting a slice of Pizza. Fingers left with a slight film of oil with every bite she takes. It's her sixth slice in the last 15 minutes, and she's still far from being full, but certainly close to choking as she's speaking with her mouth full. Disgusting, indeed. Not that she would mind you telling her that, anyways.

Oh god... Dom had expected the lunch period to be filled with endless chatter from the girl but, this was far too much. And her table manners... She was spitting food all over him and she had already ate as many slices of pizza as Dom had. No man kept up with the pace that he ate and this girl was. Dominic gave a small shudder as some more tiny chunks of pizza flew into his face.

The blurs of colors next to Grace now shifted to be a very, very dark green. In such a strong shade it is an indicator of revolting in a person... "Um..." Grace says as she, for once, swallows her food before talking, "Am I making you feel disgusted by my behavior?" She ends as she puts the remainder of her nearly-finished slice in a trash can -conviently close of them as any good plot device should be-, feeling the layers of oil in the tip of her fingers with one another... Maybe I am disgusting....

"Disgusted? Of course not!" Dominic gave a warm smile. How the hell can she tell how i feel? "Why would you think I was disguted? That story was pretty interesting... finish it up for me please?" He gave an inward sigh. Maybe I should be a bit nicer to this girl... Even if she is kinda strange.

"Dude. Waves based on emotions, remember? Don't be lying to me. You're a big fat green circle right now. Well, more like an oval, but still... Green is never good."

Waves based on emotions....? Oh right. Happy thoughts Happy thoughts Happy thoughts. Dom grinned and nervously looked at the girl next to him. "Why can't green be good? I like the color green...."

A slight layer of Yellow encompassed the blurry green figure. Is he faking his emotions? Cause he's doing a terrible job at it, "You look a deep green, I like it better when it's a clearer shade. That's just me." She sighs at how this male keeps insisting in becoming an oval of fake happiness. One does not simply combine green with yellow... It looks awful.

A deep green, huh? Ughh... I don't like this condition she has. He gave a small smile. "Sorry bout that... just never seen anyone that could eat pizza at the same pace with me."

"No one has, haha!" She says as she smiles, and notices the prescence of clear water in front of her. No green around her, no blurred lines, no messy waves hovering around, "Oh," she moves from her place and walks constantly closer to the pool, "I hadn't noticed the pool was in front of us until now," the colors had faded and the crystal clear body of water in front of her was attracting her like an insect to a bright light. So pretty...

"You didn't notice that? Is your condition really that bad?" He watched her approach the pool. Me and Evan were here eariler weren't we... and then we went and saw the... Dom shudders as he thinks of those two girls under the tree.

"So pretty, such a sparkly, beatiful..." Her compliments towards the pool are interrupted by a suuden shift in her pose. A gliding feet is all she sees as she feels her being no longer feeling the paved area around the pool. For a second, she stares at the blue sky, and the next, water is filling her nose and blocking her sight. The so pretty and sparkly and beautiful water was embraced her body after she slid with a random puddle by the pool.

    She can't swim.
    She doesn't know how.

Sorry," Great... Alicea was making him a lot more nervous. She blinked, and the next time she looked at him he was staring at his hand... Wait, was that a butterfly? She blinked with astonishment... What the heck!? He had said he had no powers! Uhg... Of course he would say that. She had said the same exact thing not five minutes ago. The image faded and he looked back at her, offering her some food. She shook her head and looked down. She wasn't scared, but curious. But he probably hadn't meant to reveal his power... So she wordlessly looked down at his pizza, and began cooling it off in his hand. It would be stone cold in a few seconds. After that little display she turned to walk away again, kind of scared and shaking, not even sure why. She wasn't hungry, and the sight of all that food was making her stomach turn. She pulled her schedule out, wondering when the next class was.
