Hey guys, I've got a completed SU on hand. I'm going to simply leave it here, so that if my name does come up, I'll at least have the luxury of having a finished SU to work with. God knows how bad my writer's block can get if I'm put on the spot. Unfortunately, I already forgot what little I know of CSS, so it's not going to be a very pretty SU in the end. But, I hope you enjoy it anyway.
Spoiler:
Full name: Adrian Tiberius Drake (always goes by Tiberius) Age: 17 Room Number:Whichever room is available Appearance:
Spoiler:
Standing at just under six feet, one wouldn't think he would be an imposing person until you knew what exactly it was you're dealing with. With his slender frame, relative lack of physical bulk, and high level of intelligence, he's no muscle-bound Superman. However, when you look into his face, you'll see an expression that seems to look straight into your soul, in spite of the general lack of passion he normally attempts to display.
He has intense hazel eyes that sometimes change color, if his mood is very strong. His hair is always a platinum-silver color, which is a very common trait in his family.
He is always seen wearing something very formal, and there are almost no exceptions. Even when he wears a uniform to something, it always has something that makes it stand out from the rest. When he goes to a formal event, he usually wears darker colors, similar to what is found below. At any other time, he's always found in only one dominant color: white. To him, white is the new black, and he's made it a point to make this a trend (partly in an effort to get himself noticed).
History:
Spoiler:
Coming from a very rich family, Adrian has had all a wealthy person could ever want... except for plenty of friends. He didn't discover his ability until he was barely a teenager, and it took him a while to get used to this new, extraordinary power. Aside from that, he was given the best education money could buy, so that he could properly manage his family's estate when it came time for him to inherit it.
However, it was soon seen that he needed more than family servants as his friends. Therefore, his parents changed his style of education from a single tutor to a public school, so that he could have the social life he craved for so long.
Unfortunately, he proved hard to adapt to this environment, and often lashed out at others who tried to force their way into his life... especially the bullies, who soon got a taste of the worst he had to offer. Therefore, his parents once again pulled him out of the school, and finally found the proper school for such a person: Gilded Halls.
Ability name: Particle Acceleration
Explanation:
Spoiler:
Tiberius's power gives him the ability to drastically speed up the motion of atoms in any object, causing the object and/or all of its basic components to fly violently in any direction physically allowed. The result is usually a controlled explosion at its best, and complete chaos at its worst (which is usually what he aims for).
Works better on "softer" materials like wood, brittle plastics, and other such materials. Works well with objects/containers with multiple component. Works by far the best on liquids (for their surprise value, along with the harmlessness/range of the explosion).
Small explosions can be controlled to a limited extent. If the object fits into Tiberius's palm, all he needs to do is point and let physics take care of the rest.
Causes a massive amount of chaos, especially when the explosion isn't controlled.
Limitations:
Spoiler:
Chaos Factor: While he's able to cause violent explosions and sometimes even pick a general direction for them to go off in, he cannot control the explosion itself -- only the force of it. Hence, he can hurt himself if he creates a violent enough reaction.
Object Size, Density, and Hardness: The bigger the object, the harder it is for him to blow it up. If the object is too big, he tires out very easily, and can make the whole thing go wrong. Likewise, the more dense and sturdy it is, the harder it is to blow up. It tires him out just as easily, but he can still make the thing fly in a random direction -- if it's small enough.
Aim and Concentration: His power is only as good as his aim. He can't blow up a chair unless he can aim for it. Otherwise he'll make the victim's cup of coffee explode on them instead of their chair, and the day will be that much worse. He also needs to be able to concentrate for just long enough to visualize the object destabilizing. The more tired he is, the more limited his aim AND movements are, thereby restricting his ability greatly.
Cosmic, you're accepted and can take Dragon's Room - You'll be in Room 1 with Elias (Antemortem). Shouldn't be a problem as Elias had no idea who he was going to room with anyway :).
Someone else here likes JPs, can guess who? can you? Nobody cares? oh...that's a smart move this guys sucks.
HEY LOOK WHO'S BACK! IT'S SEPHY! Howdy there peoples, Cordelia we'll have to JP again, the last one was so fun, and this one would be much smoother now that I'm not such a nubcake :P P.S hi gaiz
Here you go Swifty, (almost) just like I left it, thanks for giving me a chance to enjoy Gilded Halls again :P Whatever room I get is fine with me. Oh... wait... there are only two free rooms, oh my...I'm not saying you should put Will with Ginny, I would NEVER suggest doing something that could cause so much awkwardness for my character...but do it, totally do it.
Spoiler:
Full name: William Valerius Bhransht (Broon-sht)
Age: 17
Appearance:
Liam is tall and thin, standing at 6'1 and weighing 155 pounds despite being thin and without much if any muscle definition. He is pretty pale yet without freckles and has deep emerald green eyes (seen it already but oh well I was going to do it before I read all the other SUs anyways) with larger than average irises. His hair is naturally blond but due to not loving the desert sun nearly as much as the Californian sun it's faded from it's once perfectly-gold to a much duller blond, almost brown, but when the light reflects off of it it has a tint to it the makes it so one can tell he's blond anyways. His hair is always filled with long shallow curls that get more out of the control the longer it is so he usually keeps it just short enough that his bangs won't poke his eyes. Liam's features are handsome but graceful in a masculine way, his looks and movements are regal, you could almost think he was descended from royalty if his personality didn't shatter that part of the image.
Liam isn't too picky about clothing, he usually wears regular denim blue jeans and a T-shirt, tending towards black and white shirts with unique graphics on them. He also has green and blue button-down plaid shirt, he loves plaid but (like most things) thinks it looks much better on women. His shoes are the only thing special about his attire, his casual shoes are a unique pair that fit very comfortably, have good traction, and look pretty nice with a white main body, black fabric, and crimson trim. He also has a very nice pair of black dress shoes for anything formal, he got both his pairs of shoes from a great great uncle who still lives in Germany.
History: Liam was born in a medium sized town in California and lived in a quiet neighborhood cut off from the ridiculousness of the rest of the state when he was younger. From the moment he was moving around he seemed to have great clarity and precision, stacking his blocks almost perfectly aligned to each other, for a while his parents were worried he was obsessively compulsive but his early actions turned out to be caused by a much stranger aspect. Liam continued to do things impressively well, once when he was too young to understand hurting other creatures he threw a rock and bullseyed a pigeon right out of the air, his mom was horrified and made him help her nurse it back to health, which greatly colored his appreciation for the sanctity of life. His early life was normal and uneventful until the immigration boom in California got out of hand and his father was laid off in favor of men who would work for 4$ an hour and he couldn't find another job. Eventually the family moved to a tiny town in the Mojave desert when an old acquaintance who needed work done on his house hired Liam's father to help out.
The town was rumored to be part of a great school system, but it wasn't very long before they found out that just wasn't the case. The school only had a few employees who actually gave a damn about their students, NOT including the principal and early on Liam was bullied, it didn't help matters that he was bitter about moving at first. He almost got expelled when his main bully pushed him, he ignored the thoughts swirling through his head about how much he'd like to knock the guy in the face and when he went to push him back his hands went higher and WAY faster than he expected. He ended up hitting the bully right in the adam's apple. He was made to begrudgingly offer the bully his apologies and everything continued on for a while, he tried to do well but Liam never seemed to be able to focus on anything unless it interested him, there were times when he literally stared at a teacher's face and board for a whole lesson, and still didn't absorb any knowledge from it all. The only physical activity that Liam really enjoyed was swimming, and since it was so hot outside any time of the year but winter he became a lot less playful and spent most of his time reading books or playing videogames.
Despite his focus problems Liam always seemed to do wonderfully at anything he focused if it didn't require too much physical exertion at a time, he always aced assignments in English class and he could pitch and hit with near perfect accuracy in Baseball, but he did much better at pitching because he wasn't all that good at running with how much less exercise he got than when he was a kid. One day the school's drama club went on a trip to a much bigger school in Las Vegas for a collaboration, while they were there Liam got the chance to practice at an archery range. He quickly found that as long as he visualized what he wanted before releasing, every arrow he launched hit the target perfectly, even from distances where regardless of his skill the bow shouldn't have been capable of precision, little did he know just who was watching that day. Liam's life continued to be boring for quite a bit longer, his friends were all busy more often than him and he never had any luck in romance because he never made the first move. There were multiple times Liam found out that a girl he was friends with HAD liked him and would have gone out with him...after she was already with somebody else or they were in each other's respective friend zones. So nothing really happened until Liam got his letter from Gilded Halls, he was ecstatic, he would really miss his friends and his parents but that town was a pit of stagnation, and he relished an opportunity to get out. It only sweetened the deal that the school was in England, Liam had always wanted to visit other countries, particularly England, Germany, Scotland, Ireland and Italy. As soon as his parents verified Gilded Halls was a legitimate educational establishment they arranged for him to get there.
Ability name: Marksman's Precision
Explanation: Liam has amazing eyesight, he always seems to see every detail of what he's looking at and when something is far away it's almost as if he could zoom in his own vision and see it as if it were much closer. He's not exactly sure if they're related but he also has really good reflexes, can keep his hands perfectly still if he wants, and can hold his breath for a long time with no physical conditioning. He has the potential to one day make his arms move extremely fast and possibly even improve his sight if it's more than just good eyes.
Limitations: Liam doesn't really have any limitations as of yet so to speak, he just can't do all that much either, the main drawback to his eyesight as that when he is focused on one object it greatly reduces his peripheral vision and he has a hard time focusing on more than one thing so far, he practices a lot to try to improve on it. And of course the harder he looks at something the more sensitive his eyes became, making a stray ray of light across a mirror for instance dangerous to his vision.
Room Number: 5 (Cue George Take: "Ooooooh myyyyy")

Sorry Magic, that SU took longer than expected. It's okay though, I brought cookies.
Full name: Zachary Agatio
Age: 16
Appearance: Messy auburn hair adorns a head that's not particularly interesting in many ways. Zachary's face is devoid of much acne, his eyes green and his eyebrows straight. He's occasionally teased for seeming a bit young, but mostly people don't pester about him much and he can move onto other things. His hair is tinged with various streaks of red, albeit naturally [for reasons Zachary is reluctant to explain; perhaps Six Alarm has something to do with it?]. A regular nose, a regular mouth; there is really not much to see in terms of Zachary Agatio's face. In fact, the most unusual thing could be the few scars on his hands, left from knives from cooking accidents.
He stands at 5' 8", which according to him is a "meh" height, and weighs in at 145 lbs. Lean but not by any means anorexic, he usually wears a red sweater and blue denim shorts. Of course this isn't the only thing he wears, but it's just what's common. On any given day he will not protest to changing into other clothes nor will he give it much thought; Zachary never cared much for his wardrobe and never will, regardless of whether he looks okay with or without him caring about it. He has a good posture and stands up straight, although he's prone to tripping. He has generally long-ish arms as well, not reaching down too far but not too short. Usually he's smiling or simply keeping a more serious face, although as far as facial expressions go, generally the serious face is more commonly seen. He tends to be easily spotted in crowds, which he doesn't really like because he likes to blend in, but for some reasons his features are easily pointed out- even in mass traffic down a city street.
History: As a kid he was always called out for his voracious appetite; from his birth he was quite the nimble eater and when he was younger he was definitely the chubs of the family, so to speak.
As a kid he was raised in Brooklyn, New York- more specifically a large townhouse. The supermarket was a few blocks away and everything was done on foot or by train, which didn't bother Zachary because it allowed him to get his energy out but get a leaner shape, which was good- in the first few years of school he was chubby, and was teased often for it. Although he wasn't really in the mood to be very self-conscious at any point in his life, maybe it was the fact that people were pushing for it that led him to try and retain a leaner shape than he once did. He lived with his identical twin brother [who would prove to be much rowdier and energetic than he was but ironically very much a coward] as well as his parents, grandparents, and eventually younger sister.
With so many people, it was often expected that he spent a lot of time with his siblings or his grandparents while his parents ran the home financially. But it was a strict ritual for him and his father to go out every Sunday and try whatever crazy foods that were out there. He lived with a brother, but his brother had no interest in the pursuits of his sibling and father and preferred to be left to his model trains- so it was just him and his father. If they got sick, heck, they were sick together. So when they moved out to the southern United States, it was a bit of a dampener on his spirits when this began to come to a close. Back in the city his parents had found it much easier to simply walk to a restaurant and eat; now his dad had a new job that required much more commitment, nor was he game to the driving that was sure to ensue from yet another trip besides his commute. It paid well, of course, so he didn't complain- their new life was that which he called the "life of the aristocrat." His mother, who stayed home, wasn't interested in the pursuit of food outside the home- she believed food was better cooked at home.
Zachary thus learned to cook from his mother due to a lack of interesting or weird things to eat.
It took effort. His mother pulled him into the kitchen every afternoon- occasionally by the ear- to learn what they were making. If by some odd miracle his father had scored takeout, he was told to figure out the foods that made up the takeout without ever seeing the menu. However, it eventually paid off, since not only did he get to eat crazy stuff, he got to make it. But he found that everything he made lacked something; it lacked some kind of flavor, some kind of... kick. And thus, he desired to add whatever his food was lacking, with or without his mother's tutelage. These were, of course, whatever various spices he found at the store. At school he was known as a good cook, and word caught round that Zachary was no longer simply another somewhat cheerful yet rude student.
A few months after his fifteenth birthday, his father had "scored" takeout, but a few moments afterwards Zachary learned he had positively "failed" takeout. Of all the things that his father could have brought, he brought a bland mashed potatoes and chicken smothered in gravy. There was nothing interesting in it. Only mush. Zachary was desperate to find some secret spice in it, but as his mother nodded when he said "potatoes, chicken, and gravy" he knew that there was something wrong there. He ate his second bite with sorrow, his third with angst, the fourth with grief, and finally... the fifth with hope.
The sixth with happiness.
The seventh... with a glass of water.
Somewhere, between that fourth and fifth bite, Zachary Agatio had activated Six Alarm.
After that life rushed past him. He denied it at first, but he tested his denial first with a bland cookie and quickly had to deny his denial. He went to school and tested it out occasionally, but he was a bit nervous. What kind of repercussions could he face, why did he have it? Did one of the weird foods he ate as a kid give him powers? Zachary began to think one of the weird foods he ate as a kid gave him powers. Of course it was a ridiculous theory, so it was discarded quickly as he instead adapted to using his "powers." Although they wouldn't be great in any fight scenes [squashing any and all hopes of becoming a vigilante superhero] they were good for pranking, especially since it was nigh impossible to know he was the prankster in question. But besides this, life stayed much like it always had: he had powers, no one else did, and in essence there wasn't much to discover. Life remained much like it had been after the first two months: boring.
He also spiced up his food; it turned out to be a bad idea since his mother immediately realized that there was a lack of ingredients in the house to make it so spicy. She confronted him about it, and since they already had a close relationship [ironically born by the deterioration of his relationship with his father], he spilled the beans. She now knew about his powers, but she didn't say anything about it; a few times he had to ask her if she remembered just to make sure she hadn't forgotten. In fact, she simply returned to everyday tasks and although she chided him playfully about "spice" sometimes she wasn't too intrusive about it. Life continued as it had been before this as well: pretty boring.
In school, he gained the title as "the guy who could go as spicy as possible" in terms of what he ate. Of course, this was as a result of spicing up his food many times over with Six Alarm to the point where he simply became immune to many of what people considered "hot." After pranking was out of the way and unexciting once again, school remained much as it had been before, Zachary surrounded by the same unenthusiastic and bland people: boring. Not that this bland and boring life was something he didn't like, but he wasn't really satisfied with much of what he did besides his cooking. His grades were good but not exemplary; it showed a student who was smart but didn't pay too much attention to detail- his work only suffered because he found the material didn't hold his attention for long.
So it is with no surprise that Zachary was excited when the invitation from Gilded Halls came in the mail. His mother looked on with skepticism- Zachary wasn't a perfect student, or at least not perfect enough for Gilded Halls- which was overseas. "A few good classes," she claimed, "aren't enough for an entry into a prestigious school." His father, however, passed it off as "the merits of the life of aristocracy!" He stood up on the table, and in his eccentric manner [which during the years of Zachary's life had never failed to make him happy] proclaimed, "Let our child go in the world, and let him show them the glory of the Agatio family! This entry shall be the vessel into the world of true merit! Zachary, show the world truth, justice, glor-" and then he was promptly interrupted by a coughing fit reminding him of his several gray hairs mixed in with his regular brown, patting Zachary on his back and saying "Yeah, you're going."
And life suddenly turned on it's head and Zachary gained a new thought on the general world: interesting.
Ability name: Six Alarm
Spoiler:
Explanation: Six Alarm- the ability to add the feeling of a capsaicinoid onto an object, or in other words make it spicy [so for all intents and purposes, he's making something spicy]. Usually this means a food, or even his fists to cause inflammation on the skin of another as a result. He can also nullify as well as intensify the feeling of spiciness. The ability also makes Zachary very resistant to burns- sunscreen is now useless.
Limitations:
It can only be added to three objects at the moment; if not, Zachary usually loses focus due to too many objects to control the spice of. Eventually this number can increase, and an object that was once one object will still be counted as one object, even when broken down. Zachary can surpass this limit, of course, but his power will be unstable and it's effects can lessen/totally disappear on some objects if he tries to apply it to others at the same time.
If the object in question is a liquid, it's "spiciness" works fine until it finds itself countered by more of another liquid. So if you add liquid x to a liquid y that Zachary added spiciness to, it's likely you can negate the spiciness and bring it back to it's normal state.
He can't make anything out of a seven feet range spicy, nor manipulate it's spiciness. However, it will retain it's spiciness even if it goes out of the radius.
Although it will have the feeling of burning, Six Alarm will not in fact burn a person. The skin will suffer inflammation as if there were a burn after prolonged exposure, however the actual burn is not there and the inflammation will go away much faster. Therefore, he cannot cause any real damage with the ability [only the sensation of harm]; any lasting, physical attacks must be caused by his own hands.
Room Number: 4
Notes: He always carries a necklace with a small lantern on the end [his mother's] and a USB drive [from his father] which houses most of everything he really needs.
I should hope so, considering it's almost the exact same SU I submitted to the original :P I wanted to leave William very close to how I originally intended him to be, but a bit more confident around women for a personal raisin. (Although he'd still most likely never make the first move with a girl)
Yeah but he was no gentleman, Will is nice :D Especially to girls...although that doesn't make him safe, in fact it comes with it's own set of opportunities to mess with him >.<
