Sure, why not. I never really got into MH. I played MH4U for a while but at some point just stopped.

4U was the game that got me really invested into the series (I'd previously played 3U but wasn't too big of a fan), but it's definitely something that's kinda uncomfortable and takes time to pick up. It definitely has its flaws and any starting point is for sure one of them. One of those things where it's tough to get into but you can spend a lot of time on if it happens to be your thing. My phase definitely ended when I stopped playing 4U a bunch, but GU has been fun to play and Rise looks like it'll be enjoyable.

Well I'm glad you've found a way to enjoy playing the games. Maybe I'll take another look at the series at some later point.

Yeah, they're definitely more fun with friends (which is how I've been playing GU and plan to play Rise) but a lot of the singleplayer time I've put in have been when travelling or during long car rides, it's something I can keep myself engaged in pretty often, and it can feel like one of those games where you keep saying "Just one more round".
