6th Gen Gym Leaders and Elite Four

Gah, how much data did that Demo have? To believe that according to Pokebeach what is in the Demo are only left behind scraps of what is likely to be in the main game...faints...

Well those rematch teams look freighting. I do have an issue with Steven's rematch team not being more Steel oriented. Also that second one...I hope that it get's replaced later on, or is omitted from the full version and another takes it's place. Btw there is a chance that some of these may be wrong as it was obtained from the Demo, which usually includes some beta.

Now if THAT was their original team then I would be over the moon. Still glad to know (somewhat?) that they'll be a real challenge 2nd time 'round!

Edit: @Hikari - are we really getting a slither of super competitiveness from NPCs? It's a miracle adufokfjfidid :'D

Thanks for the spoiler Hikari >_<.

On topic: Now we only need gym leader rematches. I wonder if their, and Wally's teams will increase by level gradually depending on how many times we battle them before they cap off like how they did in Emerald.

Wallace is battle out of his gym as a Sootopolitan, so its not sure what exactly is going on for gym rematches. Personally I think he's gonna introduce you to some Rematch place for gym leaders, much like the Cafe in platinum.

We had Gym Leader rematches in Emerald, 5 times to be exact. This was through the Match Call feature which was only introduced in Emerald, this makes me wonder if they will carry this over seeing how it was an Emerald exclusive feature rather than RS.

Oh! I hope that's the case. There was Trainer Eyes, but I'm not sure whether that's just specifically for trainers. Either way I'm hoping we get to rematch the Gym Leaders, if we can re-battle the Elite Four at higher levels then it's looking promising. n_n

Hopefully, oh and with them having Megas too just like Steven, ect.

Of the Pokemon that's in their initial teams the only ones who have a team member related to a Mega are Flannery and Winona, and most Gym Leaders never change their aces (despite the Elite Four doing so in their rematches) so it means they'll likely have to adopt a new ace just for the purpose of showcasing a Mega.

I caught a glimpse of the Elite Four rematch teams accidentaly, but I'm happy to see multi regional Pokémon making their team. I'm talking about Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos Pokémon.

Notice how no trainers have audino, lopunny/buneary, and onix/steelix on their teams?

That could be indicative of no wild pokemon of pokemon not originally in the region, and likely an inclusions of somethings equivalent to swarms and pokewalker.

Also, Milotic learns disarming voice...Mega Milotic w/ water/fairy typing confirmed.

I'm not sure about a Pokewalker but swarms may be likely, and we could even be seeing multi-regional Pokemon in the Safari Zone as well during the post-game. That's probably how we'll be able to catch various Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos Pokemon, along with some other non-Hoenn Dex stuff.

Oh yeah, the Safari Zone. That would work perfectly. Also, a secret base/friend safari would be interesting.

I personally am glad that there is some info that suggests the regional dex will have the same pokemon, except for 4th gen add-on's like Roserade, Gallade, Dusknoir, and Froslass.

Looking at their teams I think when we rematch them they will mega evolve their pokemon as they all have at least one pokemon on their rematch team that can mega evolve e.g Phoebe mega banette , Drake mega Salamence, Glacia mega Glalie and Sidney mega Sharpedo! Just a theory but maybe a possiblilty?

You have actually been almost correct in terms of their resident Mega, but in Sidney's case he has Absol as his Mega, not Sharpedo while Phoebe has Sableye as her Mega instead of Banette. But yeah with their teams in the 70's, it will be a challenge many wanted after what we had handed to us for the last few recent games.

Hikari put those in spoiler tags >_<

Spoiler:

Anyway, it is pretty nice that the Elite Four will have rematch teams, with Megas nonetheless. And it looks like Brendan/May will actually fully evolve their starter, which makes them more interesting (let's face it, in the original games they sucked).

Wally's final team looks pretty crazy, I mean Garchomp with Rough Skin? Azumarill?! TALONFLAME WITH LIFE ORB?!?!?! Wow, they really took the badass meter up to eleven from the originals here.

And with Wallace having his Champion team from Emerald, seems like he'll have another role in the post-game, it may be another story thing or just a rematch team.

.

It's like they've gone from one extreme to another, in terms of the minimal difficulty in X&Y and now the substantial difficulty in ORAS!
