to be fair though they were mostly just the people who replied promptly and gave interesting answers. every time my thread in there was dead it was almost always entirely my fault for neglecting it.. like, it's not really surprising that some threads did better than others so i'm not really sure why it's a problem
 
Y'all think we are really gonna keep letting you do Frontiers after the last batch of suggestions? Y'all wild.

I ended up not caring much about these Forum Frontier shenanigans, hardly anything was something that interested me. Music would be decent, but all I know is metal and a bit of guitars, no one cares about those.

I mean not even the science part, hardly anyone talks about physics stuff and even less about my areas of expertise
 
A small percentage would still care about those kinds of posts lmao. I would probably dabble on it when I can.

Yes, I said the more popular members, because most threads with the most replies were really just the more well-known members + their friends asking them questions and circlejerking in their threads in which... that would be defeating the purpose of Member Encyclopedia in the first place.

Secondly, I've noticed a strong lack of attention towards even lesser known members when they made threads, which to be completely honest, seems to be the straw the broke the camel's back in the forum because if you're going to bring back Member Encyclopedia: Clrclejerk Edition, you might as well bring back Member Fanclubs because in execution it became the same thing. "Random" (I really don't want to be rude here but I guess that's the best word I can think of at the moment) users who made threads had their threads die within like a week or two, simply because no one really bothered asking them questions compared to like.. the less-than-handful of threads that over half a dozen pages' worth of stuff that the more well-known members got, which I really thought was really interesting.

I mean, in my completely honest opinion (and I'll admit I'm one of the people who asked questions mostly only to my friends which is why I feel guilty about this): Having a user that you don't know post a thread and ask for a Q&A session should, in theory, garner a lot more fruitful and interesting discussion rather than shitposting and asking your friends questions constantly while avoiding the other threads.

There's nothing actually wrong with people associating more with their friends in particular threads than lesser known users (or users they don't know, to put it in a more polite way, haha), but it starts to get to a fairly alarming point in my eyes when it's all people do and they just don't bother asking anyone else questions because they don't know them, not because of any interesting answers or lack thereof.

Reasons why I didn't step a foot in the bloody place
 
I remember I made one of those Q/A threads a while back (this is an alt account permitted to post for a league that's operating in Battling/Team Building) and it really was only my friends who asked questions. One or two people I didn't know asked a question, and after I answered that was that.

Not bitter, just throwing that in here.

I also need to make 5 posts on this account just to link to one part of PC from a thread in BTB, so hello.
