I don't like it, but I've never tried it.

What's your take on trying new things? Are you open to it? Are you reluctant at it? Why or why not? Discuss~

For me, it really depends. I can usually try new things just fine, but... it depends for me. Like, I'm not the type who would sky dive off a bridge or anything. XD I don't mind little things, yet even the little things can be hard to try at times too. A lot of it is because having autism.

    So, what about you?

Something new? Hahahahahha. Get rid of it. Change is not my forte. I hate changing things, I hate new things. It bugs me. I always want things to stay how they are, but it never works.

Yes, but I'm really selective with food. It might take ages before I try eating something I've never did before.

Same with me. I dislike change and new thinks. Especially schedule changes or something that changes my usual routine.

I also dislike trying new foods. I am not very adventurous or anything. I would never skydive or do anything remotely crazy.

Oh jeez this is exactly me. I don't like trying out new things because some other experience has led me to believe that it's going to be terrible, dangerous, or unhealthy.

Just a few things I can think of:
-- skateboarding (everyone in my class could, but I anticipate falling on my butt should I ever try it so I don't try it!)
-- drinking coffee (I can't take the caffeine rush, stains, bad breath, and the 198 items on the menu at starbucks it is all too overwhelming)
-- smoking (the poor poor smell and cost of cigarettes not to mention lung cancer are all suffocating)
-- trying any uncommon food or cuisine (I'll automatically assume I will spend the money and not like it and waste the food)
    -- dancing (noodle arms)
-- swimming in the deep end (but I almost die in the kiddie pool so nope)

    Excuses excuses. :D

I wouldn't say I'm adventurous but I do try to be open to new things! I'm not a picky eater and happy to try out new stuff (though not sure about stuff like insects ... I've never been offered something like that anyway haha). I don't mind trying new activities/hobbies either as long as it doesn't seem too dangerous (I'm too much of a coward to do stuff like sky diving)
Trying out something unknown could open a whole new world (a new fantastic point of viiiew) to you!

That said, there are some things I dislike without trying. Like smoking. I have absolutely no desire to try that.

I used to be pretty closed minded about trying new things, but lately I've gotten a lot better about it.

I can be kinda nervous trying new things... Especially if I don't know what to do. Mainly it's just because I'm really really shy.

life's too short to not take risks and try new things. i'm usually down especially if it's a spur of the moment type of thing. the less i think about the consequences the better off i'll feel going into it.

This is basically me. I'll try anything once unless there's an obvious danger involved with it. And then it'll just take a couple of words of encouragement and I'll end up doing it anyways. Trying new things is fun. Life gets boring if you only eat bread for the rest of your life.

But what if it's really good bread, though? ;D

"I'll try anything once" in regards to eating, usually ends up well and then I end up trying liver and onions (because I never had before) and uhh that almost didn't end well JUST SAYING. I mean, I'm still going to keep on with that but yeah, very bad results sometimes. X)
Although that was a horrible thing to taste and no one can convince me otherwise blech

Not even encouragement might help me try some new things, lol. See: me and roller coasters. Nope. Nope. Well okay, I was coaxed onto a few but that was an exception I think. It's probably never happening ever again. If it involves me leaving the ground in any way then I'll pass thanks.

    "I'll try anything once"

I'm like this too. I'll push myself to try something at least once. While, I'm not the type to do something totally drastic, minor things like trying new food is usually okay for me. I'm always really reluctant at first to try something. I guess I've just learned that what you try isn't always bad. You just make it seem bad by resisting it or whatever, you know?

Take from someone who got curious about blue cheese once too. Now THAT has got to be the most foulest thing known to man. How anyone can like that shit is completely beyond me. >w>

I CANT EVEN ANSWER THIS THREAD BECAUSE THE TITLE IS ONE OF MY BIGGEST PET PEEVES.

i CANNOT STAND PEOPLE WHO SAY THEY DON'T LIKE SOMETHING WHEN THEY NEVER HAVE TRIED IT!!!! IM SORRY I DIDNT KNOW YOU WERE FUCKING PSYCHIC!!! PLEASE TELL ME MORE ACTUALLY NO PLEASE NEVER BREATHE WITHIN A 10 FOOT VICINITY OF ME.

    i feel better now xo

The only new things I try is food. I dont usually like to stray too far from my comfort zone, so ive always stayed in my lane.

I'll try anything once, especially food. Actually, I don't think I'd ever skydive, I bunjee jumped and I didn't really like the feeling of falling, so I doubt I'd enjoy it for several minutes.

i honestly love trying new things, like food, new people, new places, it's all soooo cool to me. i always get tired of things that i never change, i have to try new stuff
