    Do you like to nose around in the older threads on PC, or any site that keeps an archive of all their material?

    I know I do.

    I noticed that you do. ;D Hahaha, just kidding-- personally I don't ever nose through old threads. I just can't be bothered to care about the times when I wasn't around! XD;;

    I used to, especially those old and closed forums full of old threads.

    I do but not often because the nostaglia just kills me half the time. :P

    I don't do it on any other sites, though, and the only reason I do it on PC is because I have some sort of connection to the threads. (I either posted in them and remember them or I was friends with a lot of the posters.)

    I wouldn't know what to look for if I go back in PC ._.

    I do often find myself looking through some of my older posts and some old threads in other forums I frequented, though. Given they're not completely dead. I guess it's somewhat nostalgic. And I like seeing what sort of silly things I've said in the past.

    My views are the same as Cherrica's. However there are times when I just read old staff or tdome threads just to see PC before I joined because I'm just curious lol. Much prefer stuff I have a connection to.

    I took a great interest in the history of everything a while back and posted a blog asking for all the really old members to post their memories of what PC was like way back when. I was fascinated by ex-staff and why they left and all the feuds and other things that have become infamous and people still talk about today lol.

    So I've gone nosing around in old threads in the staff sections looking for answers, as well as in way old blogs of members who were involved in big PC things over the years - but I've never gone looking through old threads in say, Pokemon General haha.

    Mostly now the past and nostalgia irks me a little bit because everybody talks about the 'golden age' of PC and it makes you feel like nothing you do could ever compare because you weren't around back then and that's all there is to it. So I try to avoid the nostalgic fun aspects of PC history :P

    I could post about my feelings and thoughts about this matter, but this summarizes what I would say. I guess that happens when you've been around for just shy of a decade o.o;

    I always ignore people who go on and on about PC's "golden age" because there wasn't really one. Everyone defines it to be a different year/month/era and it usually correlates to when they were most active and had the most friends on PC. It's so ridiculously objective.

    I mean, I have no problem with people feeling like PC was better at one time than it was at another but some take to the extreme and refuse to see that PC hasn't really changed all that much, just the regulars.

    Similarly to Erica, I like to occasionally look back at some of my own old posts, just to see how I've grown and matured with the forum. But I've never really wanted to find out all that much about my 'wilderness' years from this place - about 2005-2011, as I wasn't really there to experience it. The events of those times might be interesting to other people, but not really to me, not having been there. So I just like the reeeeeally early stuff, but I do like it a lot.

    I've looked through the archives of PC a couple of times to see what it was like when it first started, of course I can't see what it was like when it first properly started as the archives only go back to when PC was rebooted on a different server or forum software or whatever but I liked to see what it was like back then compared to what it's like right now.
    I also look from time to time in the archives for thread ideas. I'll look through them to see if there's anything that was really popular last year or something and see if I can revive the topic somehow.

    I love looking back to threads that made me laugh back in the day, or rereading the discussions that got me promoted. But, as some people said, that's just because I have a personal connection with them, otherwise I don't really care that much.

    I've been wanting to do that but sadly, no, I usually don't ): It's just not something that comes to my head that often, though that's not to say I'm not interested. Only time I dug around older threads is when I was searching sections to see if a thread I wanted to make already existed.

    I've dug around my old posts from 2006 but it caused me to be so embarrassed at how I was that I told myself I wouldn't do it again lmao.

    This thread has made me a little curious though. XD;

    I never really do it on purpose, but if I somehow end up in an old thread by mistake, I do like to read them and see what was going on back in the day.

    Oddly enough, no. Not these days, anyway. Just doesn't interest me, seeing old threads. Part of it is that I get embarrassed about how I was before. Other part of it is just general disinterest.

    I only look back on old threads if I need to remember something that's gone a bit hazy with time.
