Chit-Chat: In the midnight hour, she cries because she's sad and alone and just a little pathetic.

I think my old high school had churros, but people in my social group just called 'em cinnamon sticks (though IIRC they were labelled churros on the a la carte menu). I tried 'em and wasn't a really big fan. Then again, cafeteria food makes me want to barf at both the taste and the price, considering I can get a ham sandwich on white bread with Kraft mayo for under a third the price of what they're charging for a piece of turkey bullion breaded with Shake 'n' Bake and slapped on a tiny wholewheat bun. And their milk? Don't even get me started.

…It's unbelievable how unwound I am right now. Started with a hot shower, and gradually lowering the temp on the faucet made it so incredibly relieving and relaxing, and then I get to become drowsy and sleep to the music for nighttime Snowpoint City, Eterna Forest, and Mt. Coronet in shuffle together throughout the night.

Also, I really like tPC's new favicon. Looks sleek :3

I had a really fun weekend, actually, and I feel a lot better. I went to a big mall in central-ish Texas for about seven-ish hours (two and a half of which were spent babysitting my nephew and his friend at Legoland lol) and shopped til we dropped. Afterward, we went back to our hotel and unwound with complementary booze at the hotel's really nice hot tub. n_n;;

lol, my night playlist is a combination of classical music, Enya, Celtic Woman, and a few songs from Phoenix Wright Orchestrated (Mainly Godot's theme :B)

Enya sounds like a good choice of music to listen to while relaxing. Celtic Woman as well.

My weekend? It was just an average weekend. It was my mother's birthday on Saturday and my father was pretty much feverish so I was left to myself to do nothing much, sadly.

This past weekend was the last one before heading off to another school term ;; My schedule is even worse this time around compared to last term, but at least the Sun's up before I am from now on.

Already in week 2 of my 2nd term of school...and Winter's a horrible thing in Australia. It's sorta warm during the days, yes, but the mornings are absolutely brutal. The sun's barely sun-like (if that makes sense) during the morning.

That reminds me of the suns we used to have in Carolina, and although I don't remember much from it I know what you're talking about. There was also the sun here in Colorado masked by smoke, and it was turned a blood orange from the fires. Very pretty to look at. :3

I turned in two papers this morning, doing a third one today, then a project due tomorrow, then one paper and one very small project due on Friday. Then...DONE.

Reminds me of that day there was a bunch of smoke in my city due to bushfires or something like that. The sun was covered by this thick smoke, and was not only safe to look at, but it turned a beautiful orange/brown. Apart from slowly dying inside due to what was outside, pretty amazing sight. d:

Wow, this could be a novel.

Getting through finals week, two done, two to go. Not going to be hard hopefully, should be easy sailing from here.

I know finals would set everyone on edge. In high school if you passed the class and the SOLs, you didn't have to do finals.

Way back when I was in high school we had something kind of similar. When you were a senior if you had higher than a 25 on each of the section of the ACT you would be exempt from that final.

I wish my school gave us SAT exemptions. We were required to take it no matter what and I was in the 99% percentile.

Now in college two of my classes gave us the option to do papers instead of finals so I did that. It's nice to work at my own pace.

College is a bit different than I thought. The finals aren't as horrible as I thought and I'm managing classes, research and clubs. Although I can say that I wasn't prepared for it socially. Off topic a bit, so I do apologize.

We're currently also going through dem exams; this Thursday is the one in German, next week somewhen the Maths one and the last one is in English, in 2 weeks
The thing is you can't really prepare for them because you don't get told what's going to be asked in them :s

The worst professors:

"Professor, can you give us a list of what will be on the exam?"
"Everything."

Now I'm trying to write a paper about how while the rest of the world transitioned from the Industrial Age to the Information Age, MMORPGs created a world that uses the talents of the Information Age to create a pseudo-Industrial Age in their games. It's actually pretty fun.

This school is too easy. None of the classes count homework as part of a grade, and they have this really remedial thing to where you are required to take all the assessments and pass with a 70%+ or else you don't pass the class… pfft. I'm going to try and convince my mother to let me into their ROTC program under the premise that it won't be a distraction from my academia, which in and of itself is a cakewalk. Maybe I'll edit my discharge papers and skip a few ranks, who knows? I have a set of staff sergeant ranks sitting in my drawer. :3

I went to college for a semester then the university screwed up my aid and classes at the end of the semester. Even though I had As in all my classes they withdrew me because they didn't file the appropriate paperwork on their end. That left late withdrawals on my transcripts which will screw up my GPA and I have to retake all the classes even though it happened 2 weeks before finals.

So I said screw them and dropped out. Now I make just as much as I would at an starting position in the field I was going into. topkek
