Iono was officially revealed in an official Pokémon YouTube upload! She's an electric type gym leader and streamer, and appears to be based on a v-tuber. What do you guys think - cute or no?

Oh man! I had high hopes for her, but her model looks off-putting instead of cute. If they had shown her official artwork alongside the video, I'd be singing a different tune.

The Magnemite accessories are a nice touch, though. Also, is it me or does she slightly resemble Serra, the Ice-type Gym Leader from Pokémon Reborn? I mean... she looks even more like Serra's child than her in-game son Bennett! Considering that one of the first trailer showed a Fighting-type specialist that looks like an older Victoria from that game... it's suspicious.

She was cute until I saw the razor teeth. I kinda like the oversized jacket look and her cotton candy hair. It's just the teeth that look ridiculous.

I wonder if they will release a trailer in other regions. She's your typical cutesy hyper anime character, but I'm curious how that translates over to other audiences.

I am the opposite. I love her razor teeth, the rest of her design is meh 😑

I feel like people aren't seeing exactly what this trailer likely is. For the last two months, we have been getting teasers of a new pokemon and then within the week or the week after, they reveal a new pokemon. They have done this for two months and they did it with Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark.

They set this trailer up to be exactly like that, but in a different form of a Vtuber given us hints and fact about a new pokemon. She says guess before my next stream which likely means Friday or sometime next week.

The only mistake there was is the fact that they announced it a day before. If there hadn't been a single announcement, I don't think people would have mind and would expect the reveal at a later date.

I just wanna cut the excess sleeves off of her shirt, or drag her to a clothing store for something that actually fits.
It just makes her look as if she's wearing her parents shirt/sweater. Dunno what age she's supposed to be, but it ain't helping her.

I like the magnemite accessories, but that's about it.

Although, she's definitely either an avatar for a v-tuber, or just in costume tbh. I don't doubt Pokemon would hop on the vtuber train even if she's in a video game world.

I am wondering if she is an avatar for a vtuber too, actually. I dunno though, guess we will see. Also yeah, I am not shocked to see them hop on the vtuber train. I like vtubers, but just find a lot of it is just super hit or miss? Like I enjoy ASMR vtubers a bit more than gaming ones.

It is very possible she is just the Avatar and not a real person. Since it does seem like she is a Vtuber and following a very normal trope for the vtubers. I doubt we will actually see what she looks like if that is the case. But I can totally see them pulling it off. Especially since they are making it seem, and have been for a while, like the idols from Splatoon Games are real and holding concerts for them. I have a feeling we might even see a squid pokemon at some point given the crossover for the two games next month.

It has been confirmed that they are revealing her pokemon tomorrow.

Fanged teeth are a type of beauty standard in Japan but to me it looks weird on her model, just too mechanical and a bit creepy! It would be cool if this is just her avatar and she looks totally different. Overall I don't mind her design. At least it's memorable! But nothing beats Grusha <33
