Would you want to rule the world? Why, or why not?



Every time I fantasize about being king, I take that much more pleasure in forfeiting it all. I want people to want me to be king. But I most certainly don't want to be king. I'd actually feel a bit touched, relieved, and also disappointed in myself in doing so. Very mixed, emotionally.

Oh boy, here's a topic for me. If I were queen, It's be something like something like Robotropolis from Sonic SatAM. And I'd have airships like Bowser, and epic music playing all the time, and a military that would piece the heavens.

That was all like 75% serious, but realistically I'd like to be mayor of my town. Nothing big.

As for myself ruling the world would be fun but wayyyy too much responsibility! Not sure if the tradeoff is worth it plus the power would likely get to my head.

I don't have the patience nor skill for any kind of rule, but I'd like the power to change laws/make stands when I feel it is necessary.

It may look like a no-brainer for many to say yes, but in reality, I say no. Not only is it stressful, but good luck handling tons and tons of concerns, negativity, and criticism in the long run.

I don't know if I want to deal with all those problems other people have. I always considered myself to be more of that guy that lives on a solitary place and does what he wants, without other people interfering. If I had to assume such a role, I'd need to find other people whom I can entrust parts of the world, so I don't have to manage everything myself. In a best case scenario all of the world is going to someone else who can have fun managing all of it, while I just pull the strings in the background, or something.

Anyway, I probably wouldn't. It'd be too much stress for me. I make a better follower than a leader. Even then, I usually don't follow. Actually, maybe being king would be fun. I could do what I want when I want. Kind of like Loki. :P

I would be fair and just, and all through the realm the women would wear tiny mini skirts and there would be beer for everyone

I would try and rule fairly, but I would try and be politically astute enough to hold on to my power once I became king.
