There's a lot of names to choose from, hehe. If I were to guess, I think her name would be Kristen or a name that starts with a K. lol. But I guess we'll find out what her name is in the next Pokemon Episode when she appears!

I've found out that Katone means "harp sound", so (I think someone said) Harper, or even Melody?

Either that or Flame? Because I also found that "Ka" in Japanese means "Fire" and "Ton" means "Elemental", Maybe even Sun.

That seems like it'd be from Firered, so that probably won't go. Besides, that names seems to Mary-Sue-ish.

My votes for Melody..I don't really like Harper. I know its a duel-gender name, but I think it sounds too masculine, like how Ashley, another duel-gender name, sounds too feminine unless shortened to Ash.

Lyra is a fitting name and cute too. I'm sure she looked like a possible Harper or Melody, but to be frank they just seemed a little too formal for a protagonist of the Pokémon games and anime. Lyra is a loose fitting name that keeps the exact same meaning to her Japanese name, Kotone. If it were to be anything else though, my best bet would have gone to Harper as it shared the second closest relation to the meaning of Kotone and wasn't a wrongful name for her either.

Watch Hibiki just be named Jimmy.

Hibiki meaning Echo, I'm sure the developers may think of something more original than Jimmy from Pokémon Chronicles. Though, we'll see as more discussion on some of the other characters is taken place in the HGSS Official English Names Thread. ;) Regardless, Kotone's English name is known and I can't say I'm the least disappointed.
