their sacrifices will not be in vain, otherwise if we cannot march to victory, there is no victory and their deaths were meaningless :(

So much meaningless death just for a single person to get their win. Just because the person who gets the win thinks it's worth it doesn't mean the families of all the lost soldiers think so, as well.
