I learned English by myself from watching movies, listening to music and playing videogames, way before they started teaching it in elementary school. I did learn how to write the words properly at that point though, since I just wrote them the way I heard them before that xD
It's also probably why my English ended up a weird mix of both American and British English =p

I learned English with videogames, Youtube, and... programming! Because when you have to write variables / functions / classes and above all, comments in English, you end up learning ^^
But if you heard me speak English... 😱

Same XD

It just goes to show that you can learn a lot better when you're having fun. They kind of tried to teach us programming in school using the worst programming language imaginable (the one that I happen to have to use at work now, as well) but the first time I actually did some fun programming stuff was the Neverwinter Nights construction kit. I never actually figured out how to do proper programming with it (idk why but the concepts of variables and functions didn't really click with me at that time). But I still managed to do some crazy stuff. xD

Our views on programming differ, I love C++ XD
What would your favourite language be?

Isn't English class in the UK just an accent class? Gotta teach people how to speak posh properly, ya know 😜
😂😂😂

I wasn't talking about C++. I was talking about the trainwreck that is Delphi alongside the buggy/outdated mess that is the entire IDE/environment it comes with.

I've tried a lot of programming languages but don't feel like I've found one that sticks. C, C++, C#, Java, Delphi, FPC, Haskell, Rust, Python, D, some ASM, a bunch of different shell environments like bash and zsh and to some extend powershell, Ruby, Javascript and probably a couple more that I just forgot.

I guess Python is quite servicable. I'm also kinda tired of looking for a new language at this point, though. ^^"

I'm still ashamed of the fact that I'm more fluent in English than my native language lmao. Being full-on Westernized as a Filipino who hasn't even been to the US once... has its ups and downs :p

No! His chicken will be sad!
