I'm not big on Dachsbun, it's just ok to me. Better than that Ghost doggo line at least, which I dislike. Mabosstiff for best gen 9 doggo.

Primals are Megas, but just not called Megas. =P

The knot on it's neck and balloon like torso have always made it seems like it's based on a balloon animal to me.

Sort of- they're a different type of Mega Evolution. Regular Mega Evolution requires you to Mega Evolve the Pokémon, and then you can only use one Mega Evolved Pokémon per battle- Primal Reversion changes Groundon and Kyogre to their primal formes upon entring battle, and you can have both in the same battle (along with a Mega Evolution too). I actually wanted to go into a triple battle in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire with Primal Groundon, Primal Kyogre, and Mega Rayquaza, but never did. That would just be major!!!
 
I had a Flamigo on my Violet playthrough team and it kicked butt =P
Not as much as Ceruledge or Meowscarada did, but still.
 
I think overall I'd prefer Gen IX designs over Gen VIII, but I don't think either of them are bad. I have Pokemon I like a lot from both of them. I feel like any argument you could make about "(this gen) sucks because it has Pokemon that look like (this)" could apply for pretty much any generation, so I don't really think newer generations are better/worse than old ones.

Also Primals are pretty much Megas, but things like the terminology and the lore implications are different. I wouldn't say they're 100% the same thing, but from a gameplay sense they're almost identical outside of Primals not counting towards the whole "one Mega Evolution per battle" rule.

I guess the most accurate answer I'd give to that question is "Definitely no, but it could be yes."
 
Maybe we'll get a Primal Xerneas and Primal Yveltal in Pokémon Legends: Z-A...

But yeah, gen 9 has some great Pokémon designs. I love so many of them, but, going off from the team I used in my playthrough, I think my favourites are Meowscarada, Ceruledge and ESPECIALLY Finizen/Palafin. They've got one of the most unique and interesting gimmicks I've ever seen in a Pokémon. Plus, they look cute as heck.
 
Naturally what game you like more depends on personal preference.
I'd easily take Gens 6, 7 & 8 over Gen 9.

I wouldn't say gen 9 sucked, it's still an okay and enjoyable game.
Just for my personal preference it's a lot weaker on the new designs than the last 3 gens were. Only a handful of new Pokemon were added to my favorites :sadwick:

What are you even talking about?! It's amazing! It's a cute mollusk-garden eel thing with a nose! And looks like Diglett! What's there NOT to love? I also really like the colours of it, I love that the colours on its nose and body swap when it evolves. And Wugtrio actually looks like it's connected and one single Pokémon, unlike Dugtrio.

I'm not saying you can't like it. You might like it and even find it cute. That's fine. I'm not here to try and talk you out of liking it, nor am I trying to offend anyone.

Quoting me and trying to convince me that a Pokemon I dislike should actually be liked is pointless though. We're just gonna end up in a cycle with no end.
I don't like them. Wiglet is just a stretched out Diglett to me and unappealing as a result. Wugtrio has a color scheme that imo is actually ugly as heck.
Unfortunately there is nothing you could say that would sway my mind on it. People's preferences are what they are, and I generally don't let others sway what I like or dislike =P

Lol no it's fine, I'm not actually offended that you don't like the wormy boy the Wiglett line, I can definitely see why people wouldn't like it, I was just doing a bit (mostly). I am very sorry if I did upset you though.

anyway, the point is I win >:)

In my case the numbers will be shifted a bit.

I'd take Gen 3, 4, 5 & 6 over the later generations, although gen-VIII will be over gen-IX for sure !!





Gen-IX has few Pokémon who have nice looks, usage and names, which includes the Ceruledge line, Skeledirge, Meowscarada, Annihilape, etc.


But then comparing them with likes of Blaziken, Luxray, Garchomp, Rotom, Samurott, Braviary, Volcarona, etc.. is not good in my opinion.


Then I feel that who I am to decide/compare the Pokémon, and hence all these things which I said above is my personal opinion !




And liking the things is based on personal opinions only, so getting biased for core generations should not considered as my negative views for the recent generation.......
 
I pretty much just decide for each Pokemon individually whether or not it's something I like, based completely on my own preferences =P

I'm not upset, it's just that with text I often find it hard to tell if someone is genuinely upset or just playing along with something / doing some kind of schtick.
Pretty much made that post just in case I guess =3
