Rice needs a lot of water to grow from what I remember.
That's why rain becomes important. And these few months will be the time when people will be cropping the rice.

And it also needs the proper heat afterwards. Hence untimely rains damage the rice crops. And once damage done in between, then nothing could be done, as the sowing season had passed away.

(Rice is in the name, after all...)

What an amazing post chain to come back to lmao. XD

The Olympics aren't something I've paid attention to but it is sad to hear news like that about it. When things like that involve a competition it's sad thinking it'll inevitably just become corrupt and be about winning over anything else. Sportsmanship should never die.

The recently concluded Cricket world cup created the buzz among big cricketing nations. The countries didn't like the fact US made "foldable stadiums" for the marquee events, imported the pitch from Australia, used hybrid turfs, poor playing conditions, etc. None of the top teams body, are happy with all these.

And then the news is looming that US cricketing body might receive suspension due to corruption as one of the issues.

I play (played) many sports, hence will look into those events about which I have knowledge to decent extent.

But it is for sure that the Olympics doesn't extracts a lot of viewership w.r.t World Cups.

And another thing is that most individual events have straight fight between US, China and Australia because other countries don't have infrastructures to facilitate for their country in those sports, hence naturally most medals go to those three countries.

According to what I had seen, the viewers enjoy the team sport much more than the individual sports. Though I might be wrong, but this is what I had seen around me.

Still, watching and playing sports is among the few things which I like.

The Olympics usually feel like a bragging match between the large countries like China, Russia and the US tbh.

I agree, and the Olympics are tainted by so many corruption and cheating scandals that it barely feels like an actual athletic competition rather then just an excuse for nations to try and outdo each other.

I kinda wanted to try and draw something for art swap today, but ended up scoring 2 TCG cards and now I'm too exhausted.
Also not gonna be doing a full browse of FG. Just gonna grab a bunch of threads and call it a day lol

Kitty is indeed fantastic! ^^

NO WAIT I JUST REALISED SOMETHING

In the first Art Swap Update, Kitty only had 6 drawings and 190 points. On the same day, another update was released. And in that update, Kitty had the 31 drawings and 1015 points. THAT'S 25 DRAWING ON THE SAME DAY?? AND 825 POINTS AS WELL?? ON THE SAME DAY??!?! LITERALLY HOW??
