I guess school could be fun if you're popular and like learning. Both were a miss for me =P

The way you guys talk about it I'm really glad i'm not in public school and do homeschool :woop:
It's a mixed bag in my experience. Other students can be vicious and it often sucks having to spend so much time in the same boring place 5 days a week; but it's also a great opportunity to meet new friends and get out of the house on a regular basis.

Yeah. I think that being homeschooled can come with both pros and cons. The bad thing is that you can miss out on a lot of stuff. The good thing is that you can miss out on a lot of stuff.

For me, public school was mostly great in the earlier years, before kids reached the horrorific stage where they became teenagers and 85% or more of them turned into jerks. But surviving the experience does prepare you for some things you find later in life.

Pretty accurate. I was in public school for a couple years and absolutely hated most of my time in it. I was already a loner and teenagers being absolute jerks didn't make that easier, I got bullied and had my belongings stolen a few times.

But when I got out of public school and went to a much smaller one, there were a lot of things I felt I didn't get to experience or really wish I had. We didn't have school dances or any ceremonies besides our graduation (which was tiny anyways since, small school). I didn't really make connections in that school despite how tight the community was because there just wasn't a lot going on that I wanted to do. We didn't have clubs or school events or that kind of thing. I only remember a couple of my classmate's names and I really wish I got to spend more time with this one really cute girl who seemed to like me, I didn't have the opportunities for socializing and making friends a lot of the people at that age had.

Yeah. I think that being homeschooled can come with both pros and cons. The bad thing is that you can miss out on a lot of stuff. The good thing is that you can miss out on a lot of stuff.

So obviously I agree with this, absolutely. I'm glad you've got other stuff like a job going on in your life Lav, and that you're able to go out and see and interact with people and make friends.

But surviving the experience does prepare you for some things you find later in life.

I think you're absolutely right and have a good point, I've just seen other people use this reason in ways I find really hard to swallow. It was a tough time! I feel like adults who are out of school don't give kids who are in school enough credit for the kind of stuff they have to put up with and how hard it can be. We got told "High school isn't the entire world, that stuff isn't gonna matter later, you'll be fine" but at the point in your life where high school is a decent chunk of your world and the stuff there does matter? It's ridiculous the kind of things people go through.

You may not get the full picture considering that most people on PC didn't have a great time in school. It's one of these situations where you have a place that people go to who had similar life experiences in a lot of cases. ^^"

I think one good thing about school is that you experience a variety of different topics. I know people love to complain about having to endure certain subjects in school that they didn't know existed. But without school they wouldn't even know these topics existed in the first place. There are also things that should just be mandatory, like sex ed, and I feel like that's one of these things people love to silently drop in a homeschooling scenario. Though, of course I'm not sure if that is actually the case in this instance; given that I've never been homeschooled. ^^"

High school was fun for me, but the experience is different for everyone.

I watched a bunch of Cobra Kai episodes at my sister's. It was a pretty fun series, pity it's Netflix exclusive as I don't have it and refuse to get it.

August here it's usually weird. It can be hot and then suddenly a storm. Basically, the last 3 days lol. Funnily enough, despite summer probably being my favourite season, I enjoy the most when it rains. I guess I like the unusual event.

August is almost over and I'm only at 11/20 games beaten for the video game thing :sadwick:

Yeah time kinda flies, huh? I remember being excited for August and saying "this is gonna be a busy month, there's a lot I'm gonna get to do!" and only ended up doing some of it. Got distracted by some bigger stuff, but looking back I'm happy for it, I'd rather do what I got distracted by instead of what I set out to do.
I feel like PC gets me a little more aware of when each month ends and begins because it's always my excuse for a new account theme, I enjoy working on them and seeing what people think of them, the solution to "what kind of vibe should I go for" is clearly to just do all of them and change constantly lol
Hopefully September is a good month for everyone here!
